Sears - Not a happy customer :(

Bought a Sterns and Foster the end of 2013. When they brought it out it was t wrapped in plastic... just hanging loose and they did not have the box spring that matched... but it did not occur to me that it was already used, but I’m convinced it was! They replaced it in about 2 years, and when they brought the new one it was nicely wrapped and they didn’t want the box spring.... which tells me that the first one we got had been returned and that why there was no box spring.... and it was bad from the start! The replacement stated sagging before it was 2 years old and I feel like I’m crawling out of *** in the morning. I’ve already had the out .... but they say the body impressions are NOT DEEP ENOUGH!!! REALLY? It’s terrible!!! When you’re in your late 60’s .... you save so you can purchase something that will be good the rest of your life:/ ? :(. Don’t count on them to do the right thing! They won’t!

Sears towed my truck after I shopped in their store

On 12/16/17 I went to Sears @ Newport Ctr, Jersey City. I bought gifts for my entire family. My truck was oversized so I couldnt park in the garage, I decided to park in their lot, far from the doorway, there were many spots available as there was snow on the ground and alot of folks didnt drive that day. There were no other areas for me to park, no street to park on or meter parking. I was in the store for 1 hr 15 min. Came out and my truck was gone. When i asked if there was a possibility of them towing they gave me a phone number to the tow yard. As i was on the phone the tow truck was back picking up another truck by jimmying the door. Asked him for a ride back and explained why i parked there. He told me that next time i can give the sears employee 45 dollars and my keys so that they dont tow it. Its regular procedure.. anyway, as i went to get my truck back my 70 year old mother had to wait in the pkg lot, with our bags, in 32 degree weather. She noticed the SEARS EMPLOYEES watching the customers come in, then they would go outside and call in the plate numbers who were next to get towed. It cost me. 267.00 with a 60.00 storage charge where im sure my truck was there for less then an hour. Sears, my family and friends agreed to cancel our cards. We have been customers for at least 32 years.. YOU ARE UNFAIR AND SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO DO THIST DURING THE HOLIDAYS. Taking advantage of customers that give you all their business to steal 300.00 after a large chrietmas shopping trip is just disgusting. No more tires, appliances, auto service or clothing will be bought from you out of our households.. i couldnt even contact the store manager or corporate offices after SEVERAL ATTEMPTS. Absolutely shameful!

Sears in Matteson, Illinois - LIARS

On yesterday,12/16/17 went to Sears in Matteson, IL for a coolant flush then asked them to inspect belt. They recommended replacement. I requested old belt, what do I find, nothing! No cracks or worn look, didn't NEED another belt, they just told a bold face LIE!!!! Prior to that, 12/14/17 my battery died, got a jump, called above location whom stated they had just sold last battery for my vehicle. Well, while there on 12/16, looked at batteries, what do I find, yes, a battery for my vehicle. THESE PEOPLE ARE SUCH LIARS!!!!!

There was mold/mildew on the rug from excess water. Pursued the issue to try and find a resolution with management to no avail. They made multiple trips to my home. There has been no follow up from sears customer service escalations department as promised. I'm concerned for my health and completely dissatisfied with sears customer service being a card holder for ten years. I work in customer service myself and I am completely appalled at how this situation has been handled. It's been 3 months in attempted correspondence with all levels of management and still no resolution. I want a full refund and the cost of the rug removal.They should not be in operation if they can't perform the job or come to resolutions. This is hazardous and should not have been taking lightly. The management team is horrible promising resolutions and then not returning calls for weeks at a time. John and Chris are incompetent and lack responsibility for their business. Even Sears Corporate stands behind the deceit and denial of this whole situation. I will now have to retain a lawyer to get my money back! Needless to say I will be closing my account after 10+ years and notifying the news to ensure no one else gets scammed by them! Please beware!

I do not recommend Sears for kitchen remodeling

This review is two years overdue (work done in summer 2015), but when I wiped down my kitchen counters this morning, I was reminded of how displeased we were with their workmanship and decided it was time to post a review. We have a very small kitchen and decided to get new countertops (small L shaped, that's it) and a backsplash. The salesperson who came out was very nice and spent 2 hours with us. We told her what we wanted, and she recommended going with their version of Corian. Uh ... no way was our countertop even close to Corian. It's hollow, not solid, and just so cheaply made. The contractor Sears hired to do the work did a pretty shoddy job. The guy who owned the company was recovering from a serious injury to his hand, and didn't do the job himself but sent out two other guys, and they did such *** work. The countertop was crooked (bad cut job, I suppose), and we could see the seams in a few spots. We complained, so they cut another piece and we waited another week or so before they came out to reinstall. By the way, when they took off the first install, we could see that they when they removed our old tile countertops, they left all the debris under the dishwasher and under cabinets. No care whatsoever. When we tried getting in touch with the lady who sold us the countertop/backsplash, she never returned our calls (after she'd told us that she would be there for us throughout the entire project, start to finish). We live in Northern VA, and the Sears office was located in Baltimore, so was the company who installed the countertops. The Sears people there were no help. They reminded me more than once that the owner of the countertop company almost lost his hand, and was doing the best he could under the circumstances. I'm sorry the guy was injured, and wish the best for his recovery, but that was Sears' problem, not ours. We'd already paid $4500.00 for our project. The countertop reinstall was a tad better than the first, but still not what we'd expected. The owner of the countertop company did come out on the second install and apologized and said the work wasn't up to the standard that he would've done, and he gave us a check for $200.00 for all the trouble. Sears did nothing. So, we got stuck with a countertop we weren't happy with and paid WAY TOO MUCH money for it. It's cheap, the seams are visible, and there are even a few little dings on the top.

I have no heat. I am a 52 year old disabled veteran going through alot of changes with my health. Sears tech was called, came out did not have the part to fix my heat on the 8th of Dec. Ordered part came back on 12th of Dec and replaced part. But that was not the problem. Said they needed a third party to aid in fixing the problem and that was on the 12th so long story short i am freezing my buns off. Called in everyday and get switched to different departments. No one seems to know who suppose to get this done. Pray for me and my family for we are on a fixed income and can not afford to go to a hotel for who knows how long. You get it fixed when we fix it is the message I'm taking from their actions but was more driven to take my payment. No one cares anymore its all about the money.

You might want to "bite the bullet" and call a local plumbing & heating company. Ask around for references as to who is good. As for now, you might want to wander over to a place like Walmart and buy two or three of those small, ceramic or such portable heaters to at least take the chill off.

Me to I bought a furnace from sears . AIts four years old and it stopped working.

Tried calling sears for service since it’s still under warranty. They keep giving me the runaround. Transferring my calls over and over. Don’t no what to do.

Please give me input.

I mean they had no problem taking my 4000.0 dollars for the furnace. I shouldn’t have to be without heat.

Sears - Terrible customer service

I have a laundry center bought 4 months ago and one day just wouldnt start. So no washer and no dryer. After numerous phone calls finally one month later a service date. The dsy if service got a call one hour before arrival time cancelled. The service date a month later...you have got to be kidding. I will never buy another thing from Sears. When you call they are no help and dont care.
