Don't give SEARS your money!

I am fighting with SEARS as well. My problem is with a Kenmore Elite fridge.... BIG $$$... but the REAL problem is SEARS! Had it 3 years and it completely stopped cooling altogether. Certified service technician basically said it's not worth the cost for us to repair. After being told by SEARS the manufacturer does NOT have any warranty beyond one year (I even asked him to double check), I did further investigating to find out it does cover a refrigerant leak related to defect (as is the case) for FIVE years. Problem..... SEARS has to order the part b/c that's where I purchased it. THEY have to diagnose it through the exact SAME technician we already paid but it MUST be scheduled and installed through THEM! The fee is $100 to have the SAME technician come back and write the same diagnoses! This is a covered manufacturer's defect, why should I pay to have it fixed? What is WRONG with this?! We've already lost quite a bit of our refrigerated/frozen food. SEARS better make every penny they can off their customers. We have spent tens of thousands of dollars there over the years and never had a major problem where we actually had to deal with them. Several phone calls and rude customer service agents later, I have made zero progress! I will try to find a loop hole in which I don't have to deal with SEARS! will NEVER purchase appliances (or anything) through them again. I have never boycotted prior and I'm not usually a complainer.

Just call and cancel it they will give you a refund. Hire a reputable local repair company you will be glad you did.

When they do show up it will be a salesman who can’t fix it anyway and will only be worried about selling you more crap they won’t honor. Rochester NY

I bought a washer and dryer from Sears. First washing machine came banged up, called to have it swapped out. That took 3 phones. I also paid for a pick up and haul away service. 2 months later I'm still waiting for them to pick up. I call every week and every week they claim to be sending someone to pick up. Now, customer service can't help me and directed me to call the store where I made the purchase. I want to kick myself for TRUSTING SEARS AGAIN! I have yet to have a good experience when making big purchases with them. First time was a patio set. Long, long LONG story short, we ended up with 2 patio sets, banged up and when SEARS finally agreed to come set it up, they had to use different parts from the two sets to complete one. BTW - the chairs didn't even hold together. HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE.

Si alguien planea comprar aseguranza por favor asegureze de lo que no cubre que es una lista larga de factores que si tiene moho o si el electrodomestico esta en el garage, o el tecnico ve cucarachas u hormigas ya la poliza se cancela automaticamente. Yo pague casi 7 años de aseguranza y al final no cubrio porque el tecnico dijo que se hecho a perder por negligencia, Yo pague mi propio tecnico y el diagnostico fue diferente del tecnico de Sears, En mi experiencia Sears esta tratando de ahorrar y no arreglar los enceres domesticos, Les conviene mas que compre uno nuevo

It's not the seller , it's the manufacturer at fault here.

Ever since solid, electromechanical controls were replaced by this crummy foreign made computerized junk that fails regularly for any number of reasons has this become a problem all across the board.

The primary reason for failure is that it is CHEAP and not meant for the stress of something like a washer/dryer which vibrates constantly when in use.

My saying - "It's always the motherboard"

Our "top of the line" refrigerator (Kenmore 79574029411) stop working. Six weeks later and five service call, we still are with out a refrigerator. Service department is horrible and the 1-800 # that is given to the customer for help is there to find excuses for the company.

I will never order from sears again ! No customer services no supervisor no one knows where any person place or thing is worst company ever! There are no "REAL EMPLOYEES " BEWARE! They put the wrong address on my package so ups did not deliver the package when i paid extra to have ot to my door on a certain day, i could have done site to store forgoing the extra mony spent and 2.5 hrs of my time wasted ill never get back, completely incompetent! Repeatedly explaining over and over with them sending me down the rabbit hole, no one knows anything? Hmmm AVOID AT ALL COST!! NOT WORTH THE EXTRA $5 I thought i was saving. By the way still haven't received my item. Thanks U had 1 Job 1

we purchased a brand new lawn mower about 4 moths ago from our local sears in Greensburg pa, the lawnmower was on of the self propelled pro series 28 inch cut, i mowed the lawn with it 3 times and it broke down on us, the cable that operates the blades broke, my wife called up sears to try and get us a full refund, but they said no, also keep in mind we never were able to talk to a person who speaks english, i think sears does this on purpose. so anyways they said they would send out a service tech to repair the lawnmower, so we gave the lady the full description of the lawn mower, including the model number and we even went as far as send pics of the lawnmower. so she said ok someone will have to be home between 8am and noon, so i told off work , well the tech shows up and tells us he does not have any parts on hand and that he will have to order the parts , and the parts will take 1 week to get in, So i lost a whole day of wages and the lawnmower was not fixed, keep in mind i am self employeed contractor so when i dont work i loose a lot of money, so now i was pretty mad , and of course calling sears words you do not want to hear, so now the parts came in 3 weeks later, in that time period we had to hire a landscaping company to mow our yard, which now cost us more money, so now the parts are in, and of course some are missing. so we had to wait another week on the other parts, so now all the parts are in and they schedule us for today ( 11-154-2017 ) and of course i had to take off work again, and they told us someone would be here between 8am and noon, well this time no one showed up at all. UNREAL. so i called up my wife and she called them up and they told her they have to reschedule us, now keep in mind the night before they sent us an email confirming todays appointment. so now no one is coming at all, they basically just left us hanging and i took off another day of work. not only will they not refund us the full amount of this pile of junk, but now they are having us take off work and not even showing up, BOY WHOULD I LIKE TO WRAP MY HANDS AROUND THE OWNER OF SEARS NECK AND CHOKE THE LIFE OUT OF HIM. so now i am fed up with this and i call them up only to get some person on the mail who can not speak english and who can care less about our situation, i told him i wanted to speak with higher management he tells me there is no higher management, this is how the owners and CEO of sears operate, they forward all the calls to a call center that is full of people for another country and can care less about americans. so i urge anyone who reads this STAY AWAY FROM SEARS, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY MORE OR YOUR HARD EARNED AMERICAN MONEY, they are crooks. we still have a broken down lawnmower, and nothing has been resolved, i told my wife to call up an attorney and sue there *** es off. i dont care if it cost me more money that what i would get back , i would have this on every channel available so that people can see just how big of crooks they are. i will not take anymore time of work , so if my wife wants the yard mowed she will either have to mow it herself or get on the phone and start talking to an attorney. im done wasting my time with sears and there incompetent people and so forth. if anyone has similar experience we should all get together and get a large class action lawsuit going on.

OMG you are so right. No wonder they are in the crapper. I went to Sears.com and bought an electric cooktop on sale. I also purchased the installation services. When the inventory of the order came up after purchase, it was noted that the installation was for a "gas double oven." I shrugged it off until my installer called and said to me that he was confused as to why I purchased a gas installation of an oven instead of an electric cooktop. I tried every *** number that everyone within Sears gave me and everyone passed the buck. The problem is I was overcharged (gas is harder to install) for installation and the installer can not install the electric cooktop without a corrected order. No one will correct it nor will they refund me the difference etc because NO ONE KNOWS whose job it is to do so. AND it's the website that only gives you ONE choice for installation when you go to purchase this electric cooktop (which by the way ONLY comes in electric...no gas option at all). I will try this phone number but I think a once great company is going down hard.
