Do not EVER buy a lawn tractor from Sears. EVER

Purchased a lawn tractor and thankfully the extended warranty. Every time it breaks down, they come out EVENTUALLY, make some sort of repair, and within a couple of weeks at most we have to call for repairs AGAIN. Within two or three months of purchasing this mower, they had replaced both the motor and carburetor. This year our first breakdown was called in May, waited two weeks until May 18th for a repair. Called back on June 20 with another breakdown, waited till the 29th. Technician wouldn't come, said he knew what was wrong, used part he had placed LAST time had failed so he would order parts and reschedule. I was PISSED as my husband had been waiting around on him for absolutely NO REASON and he wouldn't even check to be sure what was wrong! He said he wasn't wasting a trip. Nice. The day of the next scheduled appointment came. No technician. According to the rep I talked to, technician REFUSED TO COME because I had raised my voice to him. They had no choice they said but to reschedule. How about making the guy do his job? Anyway. They finally had a technician out yesterday (after waiting 6 weeks), he tore into the motor and replaced parts. Mower ran less than 5 minutes after he left. Now we have to wait until August 17th for someone to come back out. TWO MONTHS with no mower. We paid a lot of money for this thing and the warranty. Time to get a lawyer.

Gutter service done. Salesman did everything wrong we discussed. Contractor showed up late and when was not home. 1/2 of the job done. Not calling back on several messages. Still trying to resolve. Seriously pissed off.

Sears only hires teenagers and treats everyone like dog s%%%

I worked at Sears for about 5-6 weeks. I was part time and always refused to work over 30 hours because I knew I would not get the benefits. Luckily I was not a sucker to this game after working at Marshalls for 4 years as a sales associate. When I became a cashier at Sears I was always asked "how many credit cards did you sell?" It was always about credit apps and was a guilt game. Now why would anyone want a credit card from a retail store going under? This was my summer job too, but after quitting few days ago I was supposed to be paid last Friday. Nothing came (usually direct deposit). I email HR who asks how many hours I worked between a certain time. I responded with the hours and asked in return "Do you guys really not keep track of your employees hours?" How frightening : / Also I am a very hard worker but I noticed I was always lectured on everything. Did not close registers right. It is really risky and unprofessional to keep over 2000 dollars in a register in such a busy store. Most retail stores take out the 100 dollar bills and put it in a safe. No Sears just tells you to count it out, put it in a bag, and toss it behind a counter. At Marshalls I got to see the vault and the person who counts the money. At Sears I have no freaking idea where that money goes, but seems sketchy. Lots of young and *** coworkers under the age of 21. I was the second oldest cashier and I am only 23. So yes Sears does not hire older cashiers, and they do not care about your prior work experience since they started me off at 8.25 per hour after leaving Marshalls at 10.25 per hour. I hope they go under, and I hope the CEO goes bankrupt for his recklessness and carelessness. This is the worst store I have ever worked for and seen people shop at. You are better off at Walmart or a TJMaxx store to be honest.

Certainly, Sears is definitely NOT the place to purchase much of anything anymore, especially appliances. And, buying a floor model is always risky and something I learned to avoid many years ago, regardless of any discount.

Sears in San Antonio, Texas - Unprofessional Deceitful Sales Team

Completely unprofessional experience! I went to this Sears in San Antonio to purchase a Washer/Dryer and Refrigerator for our new home. Made it clear to the sales person we needed something in stock and deliverable quickly. The sales person forced me to their most expensive Washer/Dryer models by telling me "Oh - I've had 4 of THOSE returned" and "this is a problem brand" when I expressed interest in other models. He then "triple checked" that these were available to deliver within 4 days. Then he talked me into opening a Sears charge card to get 5% more off. After doing all of this he entered the order and exclaimed "Oops - the dryer is out of stock and cannot be delivered for nearly a month!". I asked to speak to a manager and got an assistant manager who could take no action. I then requested the store manager who refused to come out and instead spoke only to the sales person on the phone. I canceled the entire order and demanded they close the charge card. The response was "This may hurt your credit if you open and immediately cancel a charge card". What a completely despicable "team" of people! I have shopped at Sears for many years. I will never step back in one. No wonder they are closing down all over the country! We are now heading to Best Buy for the first time.

On July 24th 2017 I called the warranty department to schedule a repair for my washing machine has nine Cycles only one is operating the associate that I spoke to treated me like a complete *** who has never used a washing machine before I've had this machine for 13 years anytime I've had an issue I've called and a tech has come out to my home to handle the situation this time an appointment was scheduled for today July 25th between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. no one showed up so I called to find out why I spent an hour-and-a-half on the phone being shuffled from one person to another was never connected to a supervisor was informed that the *** that took my call on Monday put it down as a maintenance call not a repair now they have to cancel the maintenance call and reschedule a repair call and they will get back to me or might get back to me within 24 to 48 hours to handle this because their departments are so busy that they can't take my call right now I have never had such *** poor service from Sears and all the years I've had my equipment I am extremely frustrated right now I have a washing machine that I cannot use and I don't know when or if a repair technician will show up and then the key or is it won't be a Sears blue crew repairment it will be a private contractor that they hired to come out so now what do I do this is absolutely unacceptable and I agree no wonder they're going out of business with this kind of Shawnee service

That is the direction they headed. The days are over when a good tech came out and repaired your appliance.

Sears customer service is a cesspool of ignorant robots. They have made a cascade of errors on a simple order for a washer/dryer and each time, in order to correct their mistake, they must cancel the order and create a new one AND each time they create a new one, the make another error. After 10 days and countless hours on the phone with both customer service robots and supervisors, they are still unable to correct a simple order. The keep you on hold for hours at a time, I can prove this with my telephone records and then they hang up on you or disconnect the line. I will never do business with Sears again. Not sure how they are still in business. After googling 'Sears reviews' I can clearly see that I am not the only one and they have zero or one star because they are a terrible company to do business with. BEWARE!!! DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH SEARS!

Sears in Niles, Ohio - Boots feel apart and rude coustomer service

We bought a pair of work boots on 6/22/2017 at our local Sears. Not even a month later the leather on the sides began to fall apart and get holes. I saved the receipt just incase something happened with the boots and they had a 90 day warranty. On 7/18/17 I went to the same Sears the I had purchased them to do an exchange. Not only was I NOT able to exchange the boots for the same exact pair but the sales associate was rude and not friendly. She told me that none of the damage was covered under the warranty. Mind you the boots weren't even a month old. We have bought Diehard boots I the past and never had a problem and we are very disappointed in them. christalann719@aim.com
