Sears - The worse and a waste of time

They list things on their sites that they don't have available- haven't updated in ages. Then they play a game to make the item look like it was shipped after they take your money, then when you pursue it they give you a song and dance clearly untrue story about why the item didn't make it to you and say they'll refund your money. We'll see. I ordered a baby gate that was suprisingly well priced. Seems now like it was an old listing that they didn't attend to. I ordered the gate, and waited. Seven days later they send me an email that it was shipped and a tracking number. When I clicked on the tracking number it says it left from a location in TN and delivered to the same location in TN. Then they tell me it was damaged in transit and delivered back to them. First it was a METAL gate...not easily damaged and two it would be really hard for someone to determine that it was damaged inside the package unless the whole package was mangled in a bad wreck, And third since when does USPS deliver damaged packages back to the sender...not very often. I don't have time for this BS. If you value your time and energy and ordering something and just getting it without a bunch of hassle, avoid online sears and their marketplace sellers.

Sears Does Not Honor Warranties!

DO NOT purchase appliances from Sears Canada. They do NOT honor their warranties. Purchased all new kitchen appliances PLUS the extended warranties. Within 6 weeks the ice maker of the Samsung Refrigerator froze up. We thawed it out and it soon happened again. We called Sears and a Service Rep was sent out. He communicated to us that there were issues with these ice makers and would order us a new one. We did not hear from them again. After several attempts to follow up both thru Sears and the Service Company, we were informed the warranty would not be honored as the issue was "our fault". After visiting the store personally, many phone calls, emails and letters to the head office of Sears that were not responded to, we finally gave up! I have NEVER received such poor service from a Company that boasts "Satisfaction Guaranteed". There is NO customer service at Sears.

Sears - Layaway problem

How hard do you think it would be to create an online layaway site that works ? My attempt to make a final payment and have the item delivered I purchased from Sears.Com was anything but easy, in fact I was unable to process the final payment. Multiple customer calls, e-mails to Sears Service, on-line chat, Facebook Messenger and calls to Sears stores did not help. If you desire frustration, dealing with incompetence or feel like making multiple calls with no results, purchase something from Sears.com. I have tried to give Sears my business to help prevent them from going out of business, whoever is in charge should take a course in business 101 and get their head out of their ***.

Promised new appliances 4weeks ago on march 18. Now waiting for a delivery it is april 4. Sears just called and said that the stove wont be delivered to april 15. Nice of them to tell you on the day of delivery. Doing a kitchen remodel and have no stove or fridge now...

Latest update delivered fridge on April 5 and damaged it coming thru the door. Had to accept the fridge because could not tell me when another unit would be available offered a 250.

00 credit have not received that yet. And I am still waiting for my stove have had 3 different days scheduled but they call that morning to say it is not coming with no explanation. The worst customer service ever. Tried to call sears customer service nobody can tell me what's going on with delivery never call me back.

Even the manager from the store never calls back. Should have gone abt.

Appliances. I will never shop at sears again and have told everyone I know the same thing.

I have always bought my mattresses at Sears the last one 1yr ago for cottage . They have a year comfortably warrantee on them .

If it's been less than 12 months try telling them your back hurts see how that works they may exchange for that reason. Good Luck

Sears - Kenmore side by side ref/frz

March 1, bought Kenmore side by side ref/freezer. Every two hours or so something starts up, a motor or compressor, that is so loud that at night it wakes us up. It is louder than any alarm clock I've ever had. Call Kenmore Warranty and was told that's the way it is. If it is cooling properly than it is functioning properly. Evidently they have a lot of complaints about how noisy this appliance is and don't propose to do anything about it. Sorry I bought it. There is no way that this was intentionally designed to be so loud as to wake the owners up in the middle of the night. The response I got was ridiculous.

Sears - Long Time Customer Leaves

After many years as a Sears customer I've sent a formal complaint with documentation to the State of Florida agencies that Sears is engaging through fraudulent sales practices involving their field technicians. For the last three months I've been trying to get my Kenmore dryer repaired which needs just a replacement control panel. The Sears technician who diagnosed the panel ordered a new one at the cost of over $400 and in addition to the service fee for the visit. He said that if I signed up for a Sears Home Warranty that I could cut the cost in half. He mentions that the panel that will arrive won't have any branding on it and "not to worry, they're all like that." The part arrives and another technician arrives to install it. First, the panel powers up but the digital number don't display right even though you could still recognize the numbers. The technician says it's no big deal. Then this technician, as he's packing up his tools and walking out, solicits me regarding his appliance and home repair business he has on the side and hands me a hand written note with his name and phone number. The part fails to no surprise. I file a claim on the new warranty and a third party company comes out to diagnose the panel. He charges me the deductible, another $79, and says that he will order the part. After three weeks and no word on contact them to find out that Sears had cancelled my claim. According to sears the part wasn't covered under under the warranty and the claim was cancelled. First, I was not contacted regarding the cancellation by phone or email or mail. Second, the only reason I was compelled to buy the warranty was due to having that part covered. I've cancelled the warranty and I'm purchasing a new dryer from a different seller tomorrow and having this one hauled away. I'm out $600 (deductible, service fee, premiums, panel) and I'm of the belief that Sears is "looking away" at the practices of their technicians. No doubt their field offices have incentives that require them to engage in these types of practices.

What happened to sears

We are a long standing customer (over 20 years) and our house has mostly Sears products. Service used to be good but no longer. The last three service calls had to be rescheduled and today's 3/28/2017 was rescheduled three times. So we waited seven hours not four. We were not notified when they didn't show. When we called (because they were late) they had rescheduled without notice. The last service call repaired nothing. It was for repair of a dish washer and the technician could not stay long enough to see the problem, because sear limits the time they can spend at a customer site. So we had to make another appointment for repair. This time they will blind swap out some parts to attempt a repair. The dishwasher (top of the line kenmore) failed in three years. In retrospect I think we will stop buying from Sears.

Sears - Happy Customer

March 28, 2017 I went to the Mishawaka Sears store and in the parking lot my car bottomed out on one of the speed bumps by the automotive area. I tried to talk to the store manager but he was not in and I then spoke to an Assistant Manager (did not get her name) which took all of my information about the issue. The District Manager (did not get her name) was at the Mishawaka store and she also met with me. The bottom line she was able to get my car in to the automotive area where could check the car for any damage. You could see the yellow paint from the speed bump but it did not appear to have any damage to my car. I don’t know if the speed bump is the responsibility of Sears or the Mall that Sears sits in but it needs to be addressed. The Automotive technician’s said that several people have bottom out on those speed bumps. The main reason to write was to acknowledge the effort by the Assist and District managers for helping me be a very SATISFIED customer. I do believe the store Assistant Manager and the District Manager went above and beyond to help me with my issue. I wished I had their names but I did not remember them. Thanks again!
