Sears - Kenmore side by side ref/frz

March 1, bought Kenmore side by side ref/freezer. Every two hours or so something starts up, a motor or compressor, that is so loud that at night it wakes us up. It is louder than any alarm clock I've ever had. Call Kenmore Warranty and was told that's the way it is. If it is cooling properly than it is functioning properly. Evidently they have a lot of complaints about how noisy this appliance is and don't propose to do anything about it. Sorry I bought it. There is no way that this was intentionally designed to be so loud as to wake the owners up in the middle of the night. The response I got was ridiculous.

After many years as a Sears customer I've sent a formal complaint with documentation to the State of Florida agencies that Sears is engaging through fraudulent sales practices involving their field technicians. For the last three months I've been trying to get my Kenmore dryer repaired which needs just a replacement control panel. The Sears technician who diagnosed the panel ordered a new one at the cost of over $400 and in addition to the service fee for the visit. He said that if I signed up for a Sears Home Warranty that I could cut the cost in half. He mentions that the panel that will arrive won't have any branding on it and "not to worry, they're all like that." The part arrives and another technician arrives to install it. First, the panel powers up but the digital number don't display right even though you could still recognize the numbers. The technician says it's no big deal. Then this technician, as he's packing up his tools and walking out, solicits me regarding his appliance and home repair business he has on the side and hands me a hand written note with his name and phone number. The part fails to no surprise. I file a claim on the new warranty and a third party company comes out to diagnose the panel. He charges me the deductible, another $79, and says that he will order the part. After three weeks and no word on contact them to find out that Sears had cancelled my claim. According to sears the part wasn't covered under under the warranty and the claim was cancelled. First, I was not contacted regarding the cancellation by phone or email or mail. Second, the only reason I was compelled to buy the warranty was due to having that part covered. I've cancelled the warranty and I'm purchasing a new dryer from a different seller tomorrow and having this one hauled away. I'm out $600 (deductible, service fee, premiums, panel) and I'm of the belief that Sears is "looking away" at the practices of their technicians. No doubt their field offices have incentives that require them to engage in these types of practices.

What happened to sears

We are a long standing customer (over 20 years) and our house has mostly Sears products. Service used to be good but no longer. The last three service calls had to be rescheduled and today's 3/28/2017 was rescheduled three times. So we waited seven hours not four. We were not notified when they didn't show. When we called (because they were late) they had rescheduled without notice. The last service call repaired nothing. It was for repair of a dish washer and the technician could not stay long enough to see the problem, because sear limits the time they can spend at a customer site. So we had to make another appointment for repair. This time they will blind swap out some parts to attempt a repair. The dishwasher (top of the line kenmore) failed in three years. In retrospect I think we will stop buying from Sears.

Sears - Happy Customer

March 28, 2017 I went to the Mishawaka Sears store and in the parking lot my car bottomed out on one of the speed bumps by the automotive area. I tried to talk to the store manager but he was not in and I then spoke to an Assistant Manager (did not get her name) which took all of my information about the issue. The District Manager (did not get her name) was at the Mishawaka store and she also met with me. The bottom line she was able to get my car in to the automotive area where could check the car for any damage. You could see the yellow paint from the speed bump but it did not appear to have any damage to my car. I don’t know if the speed bump is the responsibility of Sears or the Mall that Sears sits in but it needs to be addressed. The Automotive technician’s said that several people have bottom out on those speed bumps. The main reason to write was to acknowledge the effort by the Assist and District managers for helping me be a very SATISFIED customer. I do believe the store Assistant Manager and the District Manager went above and beyond to help me with my issue. I wished I had their names but I did not remember them. Thanks again! I'm calling BULL on you saying it isn't on the receipt. EVERY receipt from Sears and Kmart clearly states their policy.

30 days is 30 days. It applies to you, it applies to me, it applies to everyone else. You are not some special case just because you had things going on in your life. Do you think no one else does?

Yet we seem to make our returns in a timely fashion. I wonder how that is... OH! BECAUSE WE KNOW HOW TO READ A RECEIPT AND RETURN IN THAT PERIOD!

32 is not equal to or less than 30. Neither is 31. 30 is the limit.

Do your credit card bills let you not pay the late fees because you were "busy" and "couldn't" pay them on time? Doubtful.

I asked on Saturday about a part. Man said I need model number. I said it would be Sunday b4 I could get it. He said fine just come on in tomorrow and we'll get it. I called the 1800 number to find out how much it was and if they had it so I wouldn't b making a long drive on my only day off in wks and they told me I could pick it up today ( Sunday). Well apparently no one working there knows the area is mot open today. So I made the trip for nothing after the mammon the phone said they were open and only had one in stock. It's *** for the store not to be able to service customers on Sunday. U sell items on Sunday!!!!

I just purchased a refrigerator from Sears, which I haven't actually used yet. I needed a special color, so I ordered it by phone, after looking at the same model in store.. I needed to find out if it had arrived, since I wasn't notified. My issue is with the computerized phone system. I couldn't reach my local store for the life of me. I spent much time on the phone trying. I did get the chance to visit with a couple people who are obviously not from America. I was becoming increasingly frustrated, when I finally reached a young woman named Panjanika, who was cheerful, English speaking, and knowledgeable. She got me the information. I spent much valuable time on the phone, when a simple call to my local store should have been quickly accomplished. What a nightmare system!!!! Cudos to Panjanika? She may never see this, but she saved my sanity that morning. Hope the fridge is better than the phone system.

I had a refrigerator delivered February 27, 2017. A freezer shelf and egg container was missing. I spoke with customer service who pulled up the order and then placed the order for the missing parts. I was away for a month on a trip. Returned to a package that contained the wrong shelf; no egg container. Today I called customer service two times and both times while speaking with the customer service employee, I was disconnected and I still do not have the parts ordered.
