Sears. Return policy is awful

Sears used to be family and customer friendly. Trying to not go under they have made changes to things like return policies, not looking at the big picture they are cutting their own throats. I bought a coat, used my shop your way number, loyal customer. Was out of town, brought it back on day 31 and they wouldn't even let me exchange let alone return. Terrible, don't they see what they're doing to themselves? Trying to save money by limiting returns only shrinks their overall customer base therefore their sales and bottom line. Pretty soon no one will buy anything, whether they return it or not, no sales equals failure.

If you look on your receipt and learn to read, you will see it says NO REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES after 30 days. 30 is 30, not 45, not 50, not even 31.

Get over yourself, you're nothing special despite what you think. You get the same treatment as ALL OTHER PEOPLE WHO SHOP THERE.

You do know those plates are replaceable and are considered a normal wear part due to heat exposure and direct contact with the flames, right? Or are you just too much of an *** to know how to maintain and work with a grill?

My mother still has the grill we had when I lived there, 10 years ago, same thing happens every couple years.

That particular part is called a Flame Tamer. $5-$25 online depending on your grill.

Placed order on February 26,2017 they canceled delivery two times , gave me a 10% discount. Received my sectional that was a loveseat ! Called to have it returned the same day ! They cancelled pick up 4 times ! Finally picked it up in April ! My refund of $406.87 has not been issued ! They said they tried PayPal (which PayPal has no record) and then on April 24th of 2017 , they said they issued a check to an address I never lived at ! Now it's May 9, 2017 and I'm still waiting 7-10 Bussiness days times 5 times already ! When you call they are from India and are always sorry to hear about the issue , they can never fix the issue ! Worst customer service ever ! All they do is give the run around! I will never recommend Sears to anyone !

Agree do not purchase appliances or use there repair service. Try the Lemon guarantee with them I am sure they won't honor it.

It says right on the *** receipt that there is a 30 day policy. Nothing about "unless you've shopped here lots!" It's 30 days for you, it's 30 days for me, it's 30 days for the Queen of England.

SEARS SHOULD CLOSE DOWN NOW

I would like anyone who is thinking about purchasing any product at Sears on line and have it delivered to STOP and buy from any other retailer as SEARS can not deliver what they promise but they are happy to take your money. I just purchased a washer and dryer on line on 4-28-2017 to be delivered on 5-5-2017. They took my money on 4-28-2017 and on 5-5-2017 sent an email saying the delivery was changed to 5-6-2017. On 5-6-2017, I received another email saying the delivery was moved to 5-9-2017. When I contacted the *** at customer service they could not explain anything or remedy the situation. The *** supervisor was of no assistance. I cancelled my order and ask for an immediate credit to my card and they said it would take 5-7 business days for the credit. Odd that they can take my money at the time of purchase but can not return my money at the time of cancellation. Sears is worthless when it comes to delivery and customer satisfaction. They could not even cancel the order correctly. Close all SEARS stores NOW! It is an inept retailer.

Sears review: Poor service

We bought a mattress at a price at least $300 more than other retailers, simply because we wanted to support Sears. We've been Sears buyers for years. Paid extra to have old mattress taken away but delivery guy would not haul away because he said there was a stain on old mattress. Of course! The old mattress was 20 yrs old. No one said there were any stipulations regarding this. The delivery guy said he could put mattress outside. We don't have garbage service for that, that's why we paid extra to have it hauled away. Delivery guy said that's all he could do. We had to refuse delivery. With no satisfactory recourse we cancelled our order. I don't understand why simple customer satisfaction no longer exist. They say you get what you pay for, but now that doesn't even hold true. Really?

A store credit is still a return... NO RETURNS AFTER 30 DAYS! Why are you people so thick headed that you think that doesn't apply to you for some reason? 30 is 30 is 30 is 30 is 30.

not 31, not 32, not 45, 30. You are no more special and entitled than anyone else.

They can't sell it for the same price as 45 days ago so why should they take it back ? Instead of being self absorbed about the policy you don't like, consider a retail store's dilemma .

By the 45th day on sale that item would no longer be sold as new and Sears would have to take a major loss on the item at the clearance rack. Next time read your receipt and don't expect special treatment or to have your selfish wishes fulfilled when only YOU benefit.
