The reply just stated that I have a repair date and I should be happy. The service department is very busy. I just have to wait until the repairperson shows up.

Sears - Sweater Review

I purchased almost $700 of clothes for Christmas gifts for my wife and grandchildren at the sears store in cape girardeau Missouri. This morning after I had left for work my wife went to put on a sweater that I had given her and she found a small hole in a seam on the shoulder. She was going up to cape today which by the way is over 60 miles from us. She thought since the tags was still on it she would just exchange for one not damaged. Well customer service rep would not allow it without receipt. I think since it had not been worn and tags were clearly still on it that an even exchange for the exact same thing should have been acceptable but no!!!!! This on top of a lawnmower that has always left a streak of uncut grass since purchase and a brand new tiller that the transmission jumped out of gear the first 3 minutes of use and instead of giving me a new one I had to call repair center and they had to order a new transmission to go on a rear time tiller the day I bought it. Guess I am through with sears and craftsman. Ever appliance in my home is Kenmore brand but I won't be shopping in your store anymore.

If you are a veteran, you (of all people) should know what policies and procedures mean. Even if you don't like them.

As a fellow vet, I must ask though: Why did you feel it was necessary to add the completely unnecessary few words about being a vet?

If you weren't a vet, you would have been just fine with their answer? Or did you drop that line to make people feel sorry for you?

I respect all vets. Just don't respect when they try to use that past service as a reason to get what they want when that service has nothing AT ALL to do with the topic on hand.

I ordered a stackable full size washer/dryer set. It claimed to be able to dry a load of 20 towels.

When it was delivered and setup, it would not dry any normal size load. The drum would not turn. I had to take out over half of the clothes to get the dryer to start. They delivered a replacement.

It did the exact same thing!!!!! I sent it back and they charged me a restocking fee for their defective machines! Recently, I made my last purchase of any kenmore items. A range.

the control panel for the oven and all other things just stopped working. They sent out a technician and he took the back panel off and found roach droppings. They refused to honor their warranty! It was a completely sealed breaker fuse!

There is no possible way a roach got in it, and even if he did, the breaker would have kicked off after frying him! This company is not the same one my grandfather did business with. He had all kenmore appliances.

They are now a disreputable and dishonorable company and deserve to go under as predicted. They are crooks!

I contacted Sears online for appliance repair. The tech came to my house and took my stove apart my stove is still apart he did not put it back together He took my check and said that he would come back in two weeks. I asked how could I cancel because two weeks is two long to go with out a stove. He said that I needed a regulator. He took my check and he left. I call another company andy the repair men said that the sears tech had taken the burner to the stove. I call sears I found out that there customer service is in the Philipines and you can't understand their english. It is impossible to get help from them They are in a mother Country so how could they help me get my burner back. They don't even know the guys name just a number 001404. Sears is lending out its name but not responsible for what happens after that One nightmare

I have been loyally shopping at sears for the last 10 years. After Christmas I tried to take back a gift I recieved and they told me I needed a receipt to get store credit. It could t have cost more than $10. The same day I returned things to Walmart, target, and Home Depot with no receipt and had zero issues. My target item was over $100 and I had no trouble. This has been another disappointing experience with sears. I will no longer be customer of sears after this experience.
