Have seen store managers literally HIDE in their offices when cashiers call for assistance or if a customer wants to speak to them. Or the manager comes out and does not listen to the customer just says "okay okay, yes sorry okay we will fix that for you." They aren't listening they just want the customer to leave them alone.

I ordered a fridge during the Black Friday sales. Was told that it would be delivered on Tuesday, 12/13. I received the confirmation call on Monday night, saying that it would be delivered between 12:45-2:45. When it didn't show up, I called at 3:00 and 5:30, both times I was told that it was on the way. I called back at 7 when it still wasn't here, Customer Support told me that the delivery was not going to occur today and that they'd reschedule for Thursday. Thursday, same thing - I received the confirmation call last night, then this morning got a call from the driver saying he only had the ice maker, and that I'd need to reschedule for tomorrow. I called to do so, was told to not worry, they could guarantee delivery on 12/23!?! As I'm not a fan of being told multiple different stories, I cancelled the order. Their support department is entirely off-shore and has no real visibility into the delivery process. I will not make any further purchases from Sears.com.

Sears - Gas stove purchase

At the beginning of November we bought a gas stove which was on sale. We were planning on a kitchen renovation so we bought and paid for the stove, plus extended warranty and told the CSR that we would call once we had confirmed the kitchen reno details. We called a week later to confirm that we had the trades lined up and would like the stove delivered on December 6 which they confirmed was okay. On December 3 we received a phone call to say that the stove was not available and would not be delivered until December 22. At this point our kitchen was pulled apart, trades were working and we would be without a stove for 16 days. We however were even more shocked when we were told that they could not even guarantee delivery for December 22 and would not know for sure until a couple of days prior to that. At that point I went on-line and realized that this is now the norm for Sears and that the extended warranty provided very poor service in the event the appliance malfunctioned. The next day I went to our local store (McDonald's Furniture and Appliances in Meaford, ON). I was able to buy an equivalent stove for $100 cheaper, Extended Warranty for about $110 cheaper (service would be by local repair shop), delivery was $30 versus $79 for Sears and they would haul away our old appliance free of charge. They suggested I might like to extend a small tip to the delivery person if I chose. Best yet - I was told I could have it delivered in the morning if I ordered by 5:00 p.m. today. Sears are losing one customer at time but multiply that by thousands over the year and it is easy to see where this company is heading. they are closing more stores every year and it won't be long before the company ends up in receivership. I will be doing more shopping at my local store in the future.

Your complaint should be with Samsung that had hand tied all the retailers by insisting that a Samsung factory certified tech has to perform service. Not to mention that the refuse to take the inventory back that is sitting in the retailers inventory.

Bought a new refrigerator at Sears at a great price from courteous and helpful staff....so why the 1 star review? For their Delivery people.....got an assigned delivery date only a couple days after the purchase, but with a very late 6-8 PM window. At 4:45 PM got a call saying they'd be at our house in 15-20 minutes, so I thought "great, they'll be earlier than they said".....20 minutes later...nothing....an hour later...nothing....I call the delivery guy back and just get a recording, so leave him a message...no response....I call Sears Delivery and they tell me (from the Philippines) they'll be here before 8......8 rolls around and nothing....I call Sears Delivery again and they say oh the drivers been delayed new ETA is 9 PM, and he'll call a half hour before arrival....9 PM...nothing....9:45 PM...nothing...I call Sears Delivery and the recording says sorry we're closed, call tomorrow.....so now we can load all the frozen and other stuff we took out of our old fridge hours ago back into it, and hope nothing got spoiled in the meantime....and you can bet I'll be calling Sears in the morning!

On Nov 24, 2016 I ordered an electric fry pan one day sale item from Sears.com. With free delivery. It's now Dec 12, 2016 and they can not find it. When you call the customer service is in the Phillapines the lady I talked to did not know what an electric fry pan is. I bought on sale for 29.99 but to get the same fry pan now I would have to pay 59.99. What a rip off. I have always shopped sears. For 25 years I have been a customer. Not anymore sears is not a customer friendly store.

Looks like everyone higher up at Sears is leaving the sinking ship! I bought a $5,000.00fridge (Samsung) that quit working after a year...they told me I could pick another...cuz I bought the "No worry" warranty...only to be told it would be 2 months until I'd get the replacement! Then, upon the day the replacement was to be delivered, I get a phone call an HOUR before the scheduled time to say "It didn't arrive", and I'd have to take ANOTHER day off from work! Tried calling the store...(straight to voicemail at 11am) and called customer service, only to be handed off 3 times, until I got a "customer service rep" who tells me "do you want the fridge or don't you"? I will NEVER ever shop there again! I don't recommend you do either!
