Sears review: Refund of money

We bought a washer and dryer from Sears Ocala, Florida. We waited 3 weeks for it to be delivered. When we received the appliances they did not work for us, we then returned the items. We were told that we would receive a refund no later than 1/6/2017 That came and went when calling a number of different we were lied to, made more promises that weren't kept. Then were told that we had never called and inquired or complained. We also told that Sears sent the refund to our old address in Utah when we live in Florida and where the items were delivered to. Customer then put a stop payment on the refund without asking if that's the way we wanted to go then told us it could take an additional 3 weeks to receive our refund for something that was bought on 11/24/2016 When ask why they sent the refund to the Utah address I was told that was my address that was associated with my rewards account, I then pointed out that I had updated that info online and also at the store and was told that couldn't always be trusted. This is what I was told by Christin # 410678 on 1/11/2017 when ask to speak with a supervisor she said that no one else was above her and if we wanted to make a complaint to send it to corporate

Sears review: Poor Customer Service

Bought a gas range. It was the same one that Lowes had for the same price. Trying to keep business in the local town instead of traveling 25-28 miles one way, keeping someone with a job. Humpth!!!!! They had to special order due to the fact we have LP instead of Nataul Gas. They NEVER called to let us know that it had arrived. I went to the store in person, do to the fact, that when you call they give you the run around. When I walked in the girl did not greet me or act like she was happy about a customer coming in the store. When I told her why I was there, she treated me like I was some ***. I had to give her my name several times, then she asked for my phone number. We asked about them installing the LP Orifices. We were informed that we were responsible for installing them our selves since we were taking the range home ourselves. When we had difficulty locating the 2 orfices that went to the oven, I called customer service line and got transfered multiple times. When I returned the next day, they said it would COST us $150 for them to come out. I told them I would return it firstand get my money back before I would pay them that, for doing something that should be done at the store. We were going to see about buying a refrigerator from them, NOT NOW.

Sounds like you didn't provide the correct contact information at time of purchase to be notified of merchandise being available.

Being charged to install lp orifices is because YOU did not want to install yourself and thus take on liability of poor instalation. To obtain QUALIFIED instalation of said LIABLE services you must pay as no one at the store is qualified.

Would you trust someone from mcdonalds to handle an instalation of gas related products?

Probably not and the MANUFACTURER does not provide lp ready units. Think before you point fingers.

Washer & dryer scheduled for delivery from 5pm - 7pm. At 7am the morning of the delivery got a automated call stating my delivery was canceled due to bad weather. Told to call the delivery phone number to get more information. When calling the number my call went to a International call center. I spoke to 3 different people all of which I could hardly understand and who could not help me. Then called another number, in Texas. They gave me another number to call - still no one could help. The sun is shining and its 49 degrees outside. Forecast is showing same weather conditions at 5 - 7 this evening...Not sure why my delivery was canceled/rescheduled...sun and 49 degrees is bad weather,for Central PA in Jan? My appointment is now scheduled for Saturday, the worst weather forecast day of the week. Go figure. Sears lost a customer!

I have had an absolutely terrible experience with Sears--I strongly advise to never purchase large appliances from them. I ordered a brand new GE electric gas range about a month ago and the oven is STILL not working after having to *** work to have not one, but THREE service technicians out to take a look at it. Parts were ordered to fix the range but 'damaged' so the technician could not make changes. It was clear the technician who came to my condo had no idea what he was doing as he had to actually face time someone else to help him with the repair!!!! Every single time I have called customer service to try to get this issue resolved as fast as possible, they keep recommending to schedule ANOTHER service appointment!!!! I haven't had my stove working over the holidays and it is absolutely unacceptable for a company to operate with such poor customer service where no one is accountable or responsible. The saga continues whether or not my stove will work... absolutely ridiculous.

Today SEARS was to show up to put parts on. I started called at 10:30a and was informed personal would be at my residence by 2-4p.

At 3:51p called and was informed personal were at my home at 2p.

I would like to know who's house he went to because it was not mine. ...

The bottom line is that no one should buy a Sears product ever again, given the current state of their "customer service" unreliability. I see Stanley products is now going to manufacture the Sears Craftsman line.

This means Sears is further along on a vertiginous descent into oblivion. As you stated, warn everyone you know.

bought a washer and dryer, took advantage of, no interest one year contract. First payment through citibank direct, was not accepted put me in arear, and therefore was charged at end of contract, full interest. I was told that payment was sent to wrong address? address selected by citibank, rest of payments went to same address and had no problem, they held my first payment, did not cash it to render it delinquent. WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH SEARS AGAIN. Cheaper at Lowes, and they treat you like a valued customer.

Got an email back from them. Not resolved yet.

The reply just stated that I have a repair date and I should be happy. The service department is very busy. I just have to wait until the repairperson shows up.

Sears - Sweater Review

I purchased almost $700 of clothes for Christmas gifts for my wife and grandchildren at the sears store in cape girardeau Missouri. This morning after I had left for work my wife went to put on a sweater that I had given her and she found a small hole in a seam on the shoulder. She was going up to cape today which by the way is over 60 miles from us. She thought since the tags was still on it she would just exchange for one not damaged. Well customer service rep would not allow it without receipt. I think since it had not been worn and tags were clearly still on it that an even exchange for the exact same thing should have been acceptable but no!!!!! This on top of a lawnmower that has always left a streak of uncut grass since purchase and a brand new tiller that the transmission jumped out of gear the first 3 minutes of use and instead of giving me a new one I had to call repair center and they had to order a new transmission to go on a rear time tiller the day I bought it. Guess I am through with sears and craftsman. Ever appliance in my home is Kenmore brand but I won't be shopping in your store anymore.
