Sears review in Hackensack, New Jersey: Unprofessional

We bought a tool at your Hackensack, NJ Location 40 days ago. We never needed it and were only able to try to return it yesterday as we were away on a family emergency from July 27th through this past week. My husband was told at the counter that the policy is 30 days - the item was never opened and you had more on the shelf, so it wasn't like returning Shorts at the end of the summer when winter clothes are on the rack. He asked to speak to the manager and was directed to talk to Darwin Cruz - who stood behind the policy. When my husband tried to explain the issue - Darwin said "What's the matter with you, Can't you read?" Quote end quote. I find that extremely UNPROFESSIONAL - and will be telling everyone we know how awful your store and management is.

Washing Machine Review

I bought a brand new wash machine and i have 7 people in my house. The minute we bought it plug it in we have water all over the floor. Thougjt a clamp was loose but its not. Called sears they said two weeks. We have no laundry mat near us and clothes are piling up. This kind of service is not acceptable. I would not buy another one again.

Sears Terrible Return Policy

Never again will I shop at Sears. I had no idea the return policy was only 30 days and I tried to make a return 10 days late WITH my receipt and they refused to make the return. I would even be fine if they would issue store credit after 30 days with a receipt, but not even that! Ridiculous! I can't even use the items I purchased because they don't go the the color scheme of my remodel (which lasted longer than the 30 day return period). Last time Sears, last time. I am major pissed at you and will be sharing this on every social media platform and sharing with friends. Don't ever shop at Sears unless you are purchasing Lands End! And one could see why I am so confused because I really only purchase Lands End items and the one time I venture further in the store, I have no idea their terms and conditions could be so different and have NO grace. Like I said, I have a receipt, just give me store credit so I'm happy and will actually return and buy something!

Delivery was changed due to delivery company issues. Tried to reschedule for our convenience but could not be accommodated could only be rescheduled for the convenience of the delivery company's schedule, which could NOT be met due to prior medical/surgical commitments on our part. It's a refrigerator, so what do we with the food in the meantime? Talked to several CS people overseas and delivery company without any resolution of our issue. There is a refusal to accommodate any options we gave to them. Lucky us..... Called delivery company. Person was rude. Called customer service three times and were cut off when agent attempted to call supervisor. Why?

I completely agree and just had the same horrible experience. I've shopped at Sears for more than 40 years and have purchased thousands of dollars worth of items over the years, including appliances, tools, sports equipment, jewelry, clothes, etc.

Tried to return 2 items of clothes that still had the tags and because of being 3 days over the 30 days with my receipt (didn't know about the 30 day "nothing" policy) they refused to give me my refund or store credit. I will NEVER, EVER go back into Sears....total rip off, no wonder they are going down hill!!

i am thoroughly disgusted with sears technicians, customer service, and the whole process they use. i have not a fridge since the end of July. It took them 10 days to come and look @ it only to diagnosis wrong telling me it was the thermostat had to wait another week for a part that was not even needed. Waited another week for another technician to tell me the cooling system is out, and i still don't qualify for another fridge. Now they want my 85 year old mother to move her fridge in the dining area because one of the two technicians that is coming to work on the fridge is to overweight to fit in the kitchen area! As a consumer this is unbelievable to me why would you put 1200 into a 12 year old fridge? which is the question i was asking the costumer service rep when she hung up on me & she was a manager. Your costumer service is in another country, so they do not have to be accountable for what what they tell people and when they cant your question they hang up this is your management representing your company. i will never buy another thing in sears and i have purchased my stove & TV there also. They think everyone has a second fridge unrealistic she has been living out of a cooler & is 85 years old ridiculous!! i have always stood behind sears but this total BS. Further more you can not get a hold of any upper management to speak with they are invisible or make themselves invisible to the public. Very poor way to run a business.

Bought a Refrigerator from Sears 16 years ago. It died 7/20/2016. Called Sears to repair. After a month of no Refrigerator, 5 repair visits and one missed appointment, Sears finally gave me $500 toward a new Refrigerator. Do the math 16 years at $400 a year for the warranty. So I got a new Refrigerator and it was delivered last Friday 8/26/2016. The deliveryman then said I can't hook up the ice maker because he didn't have a coupling to hook the Refrigerator to the water line. We'll have to have someone come out later. Later never happened. Been on the phone today 8-31-2016 for 3 hours trying to find ONE SINGLE HUMAN that will take ownership of this. Dream on. Sears is so bad now, no one gives a rats *** if customers are happy or not. All Sears employees care about is, when is lunch and when do they get to go home! Sears sucks like nothing has EVER sucked before. NEVER BUY SEARS!!!!!!!

I was so excited at the prospect of getting all new appliance when I bought my new home two years ago. Big ticket items, but well worth the investment or so I thought. I even let my daughter convince me to get all the same brand of Kenmore from Sears. Let me tell you, never again. My refrigerator which cost almost a thousand dollars by itself makes ice like its on crack. It over fills the bin which the weight causes it the hand down just a bit, it's only a matter of time before the ice avalanche goes into effect. However, the biggest problem is that every single time you get ice, the ice shoot gets clogged so minutes later you have ice constantly dropping out onto the floor and since one of my pet peeves is wet feet, I cannot tell you how annoying and aggravating this is to constantly walk into a puddle of water on my kitchen floor. I did call Sears right away to have a tech come out due to a second issue of more water going down the front of the fridge than in my cup. The guy basically made me feel like an *** who did not know how to hold a cup, still dis not solve my ice issue. I also got a midline dishwasher with more bells and whistles, but I think a cheaper version would have done a better job. It has long wash cycles and my dishes don't even get clean even with the using the Finish Tabs. Sears, I'm sure you are loveable by some, but for the most part, my stuff sucks. I could have gotten the cheapies and been just fine. Signed wet feet in Michigan.
