Sears is a nightmare company. An example is we had to replace 4 dehumidifiers that lasted 1-2 years. I tried to contact headquarters, but ended up speaking with people in the Philippines who were impossible to understand. I have given up on Sears.

I bought jewlery from sears on mothers day. It was50% 0ff each pair of errings that sold for1 50.00 each. The errings start falling apart after i wore them i couple of times. Our local jewlery store said they are not even worth 50.00. I went back to sears and they said they could not do anything because i did not but insurance. The sales clerk never told us about the insurance.i want my money back.the jewlwey is junk.09

The washing machine I bought failed after 3 months. After 3 repair attempts, each requiring ordering parts and almost a 2 week wait between appointments, they finally agreed to sent a replacement washer as they would not do a refund. It was DOA on delivery. I don't even want this washer if it's this bad. Now they claim they don't warranty replacements and they wont refund anything. They say they will repair it and have no record of my previous calls so they will be starting the repair again. I know they won't have the parts and it can't possible be repaired until the second visit if at all. You can't talk to anyone because when you call the number 800-479-5899 they say they have no manager or supervisor and there is no one else to talk to.

Same problem bought a new washer for500$ in Nov. Left film on clothes @ ruined some of them I hated washer sears wouldn't take it back after 2months sent repair service they didn't do nothing but put a computor on @ said no problems didn't even run it @ said if I call again for same problem id be charged for service call u had to buy a new washer elsewhere @ it works great I will never set good in any sears store again they robbed me of $500.

Sears in Overland Park, Kansas - Lousy return policy

I no longer will buy at Sears. They have a short 30 day window for returns. I got burned since the salesperson said if it's not the right size bring it back anytime and we'll exchange. I brought it back after 30 days...unused...and was told they had begun enforcing their 30 day return policy. "We've had this policy for years but were told to start enforcing it" Nice if I'd have known. Never going back! Spreading the word with my social media contacts....'Don't get screwed at Sears!' I'm betting they are run out of business within the next couple of years. There's no way to compete with a Lowe's or Home Depot, Ace, etc. with that kind of policy. What used to be a quality chain is now run by a bunch of incompetents. No wonder they are shopping around for buyers of their brands names.... the first steps for a company on the ropes and contemplating bailing out of the market. Once they are gone we I will have one less lousy store chain not to choose from.

My order was cancelled by sears for a denied payment. My card was charged by sears and now i have to wait for up to 10 days for refund on a payment that was supposedly denied.

I ordered a set of 4 tires online and paid for them to be picked up and installed at my local sears store. I recieved an email 2 days later from sears stating my payment was declined and order cancelled. According to my payment source sears recieved 864.00 from my account. I have spent several hours on the phone regarding my order being cancelled and all im being told is my money was returned but may take 7 to 10 business days to show up. Im at a loss for words as to the incompetency of sears. U take my money in a matter of seconds... cancel my order but cant tell my why or who cancelled it. Cant tell me who issued the refund to my account or why it takes so long especially when payment denied is the listed cause of cancellation. Now I cant order the tires i need because my money is tied up and cant go anywhere else until my money shows back up. The incompetence truly shows when the customer care rep i spoke to isnt even able to get the tires sent to the store until i can pay for them again. Furthur delaying my ability to purchase tires. If anyone at sears cares to look it up my order number that was paid for and cancelled is 982229741.

I have been a loyal Sears customer for over 25 years and have never had a problem until today (6/27/16). I went in to exchange PJ's that my husband bought for me on 5/18/16. I needed a smaller size. I had my receipt and all I wanted to do was exchange them for the smaller size. The lady at the register tried and then informed me that she would have to speak to her manager because it was past the 30 day return policy. It took her 3 tries to get the manager to call her. The manager called her, told her no. I asked to speak to the manager and it took 2 calls to her to get her to come and speak to me. When she came to speak with me she was rude to me. I understand a policy is a policy but all I needed was the smaller size. THE 30 DAY RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND UNLESS THEY CHANGE IT BACK TO A LONGER RETURN PERIOD I AM NEVER SHOPPING AT SEARS AGAIN. For the past 6 years I have spent a lot of money at Sears buying presents for friends and family. With this shorter return period I will not buy gifts for people because if something I buy doesn't fit then they are forced to return it quickly or loose out on it. What if I bought a Christmas present for someone on black friday but didn't get to see them until January? How is it fair that they should be penalized for not returning it 30 days after purchase if they didn't even have it in their possession until after the 30 days? Sears should seriously rethink their return/exchange policy.

Sears in Madera, California - Product Support? Really?

purchased craftsman power tools and when I needed parts to repair them, guess what? THEY ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. So because they don't want to carry the parts, I now have several hundred dollars of lawn art! (commonly referred to as junk). How can they not carry replacement parts? To top it off, I spent a lot of time trying to talk to a human (5 phone calls, through their phone trees) and no one was able to route me to anybody that could help, 3 of the calls ended in disconnects (Hang ups? perhaps) If this is what sears calls customer support, I will no longer buy a single item from there. It's really sad to see a great company like sears turn to ***, but that's what seems to be happening. Over the years I've bought lots of big ticket items as well as small, but no more.
