My order was cancelled by sears for a denied payment. My card was charged by sears and now i have to wait for up to 10 days for refund on a payment that was supposedly denied.

I ordered a set of 4 tires online and paid for them to be picked up and installed at my local sears store. I recieved an email 2 days later from sears stating my payment was declined and order cancelled. According to my payment source sears recieved 864.00 from my account. I have spent several hours on the phone regarding my order being cancelled and all im being told is my money was returned but may take 7 to 10 business days to show up. Im at a loss for words as to the incompetency of sears. U take my money in a matter of seconds... cancel my order but cant tell my why or who cancelled it. Cant tell me who issued the refund to my account or why it takes so long especially when payment denied is the listed cause of cancellation. Now I cant order the tires i need because my money is tied up and cant go anywhere else until my money shows back up. The incompetence truly shows when the customer care rep i spoke to isnt even able to get the tires sent to the store until i can pay for them again. Furthur delaying my ability to purchase tires. If anyone at sears cares to look it up my order number that was paid for and cancelled is 982229741.

Sears in New Brunswick, New Jersey - Exchange issue

I have been a loyal Sears customer for over 25 years and have never had a problem until today (6/27/16). I went in to exchange PJ's that my husband bought for me on 5/18/16. I needed a smaller size. I had my receipt and all I wanted to do was exchange them for the smaller size. The lady at the register tried and then informed me that she would have to speak to her manager because it was past the 30 day return policy. It took her 3 tries to get the manager to call her. The manager called her, told her no. I asked to speak to the manager and it took 2 calls to her to get her to come and speak to me. When she came to speak with me she was rude to me. I understand a policy is a policy but all I needed was the smaller size. THE 30 DAY RETURN/EXCHANGE POLICY IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURD AND UNLESS THEY CHANGE IT BACK TO A LONGER RETURN PERIOD I AM NEVER SHOPPING AT SEARS AGAIN. For the past 6 years I have spent a lot of money at Sears buying presents for friends and family. With this shorter return period I will not buy gifts for people because if something I buy doesn't fit then they are forced to return it quickly or loose out on it. What if I bought a Christmas present for someone on black friday but didn't get to see them until January? How is it fair that they should be penalized for not returning it 30 days after purchase if they didn't even have it in their possession until after the 30 days? Sears should seriously rethink their return/exchange policy.

Sears in Madera, California - Product Support? Really?

purchased craftsman power tools and when I needed parts to repair them, guess what? THEY ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE. So because they don't want to carry the parts, I now have several hundred dollars of lawn art! (commonly referred to as junk). How can they not carry replacement parts? To top it off, I spent a lot of time trying to talk to a human (5 phone calls, through their phone trees) and no one was able to route me to anybody that could help, 3 of the calls ended in disconnects (Hang ups? perhaps) If this is what sears calls customer support, I will no longer buy a single item from there. It's really sad to see a great company like sears turn to ***, but that's what seems to be happening. Over the years I've bought lots of big ticket items as well as small, but no more.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FROM SEARS AGAIN

I've called sears holdings customer service about 5-7 times in regard to a complaint I filed against a sears auto center and no one has bothered to return the calls as promised. I will be writing a letter to the cooperate office in hopes of some help. I am very dissatisfied. The entire company does not value its customers. No one has helped me. The manager at the auto center had an I don't care attitude because that branch was closing. I waited about 3.5 hours for new tires. After trying to file a complaint no one has called back at ALL. Every time I called I was told someone would call within 72 hours. IT NEVER HAPPENED. I had to call back each time on my own only to hear the same thing with no results.

Sears Sealy Chisolm Firm Mattress Review from Elkton, Maryland

Their customer service has to be the worst on the planet. Made the mistake of buying a mattress from them. Never again or anything else for that matter. All agents are in the Philippines and could care less about my purchase because their kids are screaming in the background. They must be going out of business soon or they should. They delivered wrong mattress June 3rd. It was hard and flat. Been promising exchange or refund since then. The Chisolm frim is 8.5 inches according to their website. The one i got was less than 7 inches. They acknowledged that error but did nothing about it. If you shop at Sears you'll be sorry.

Sears - Lack of Customer Service at Glendale California store

Went to the Glendale Sears to purchased an elliptical machine. No salesperson is available to assist me. I asked the checkout counter person to page somebody. She did this 3 times and I waited for 30 mins. Nobody showed up. Left the store and called the store manager. I did not get to talked to the store manager but talked to the appliance department manager. The appliance department is next to the fitness department. The manager said that he did not hear the 3 pages the lady did. The store is pretty empty of customer. I don't know where the salespeople but i know for sure that they did not want to help the customers. If this is how Sears treat their customers then they deserve to have their business fail!

Sounds like your biggest mistake---other than purchasing something from Sears---was in using a debit instead of a credit card. If you had used a credit card, you could have disputed the charge.

Now, you await refunds of money you authorized be taken from your bank account from a company that employs who knows whom from who know where.

Good luck on that. Now you know why debit cards are dangerous to use.
