Sears in La Vergne, Tennessee - Warranty rip off

I have a Sears gas grill. It is only 3 years old and 2 of the burners rusted out. The warranty covers this for 5 years. After being on the phone with 10 different for almost an hour, I found out that I would have to pay a tech $101.00 to come out a verify that the parts rusted out. The parts cost $43.00. The left hand does not know what the right hand is doing. I will never buy another thing from this crooked company. No wonder they are losing money and closing stores. Bunch of crooks!

Sears in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Took 3 techs to fix my fridge

It took almost a month to get it working, but the part ordered did not fix the problem. I need to present the homeowner (I'm a renter) with a Receipt so I can get reimbursed. Endless hassle trying to get a receipt. I will not be calling them back to work on anything ever. so sad they are going under like this. They used to be (n the 70's) n the top of their game. I'm done writing, if you don't like it don't approve my post. I'm not going o write any more for you. Thanks, bye.

My floor was damaged when a refrigerator was delivered in March. I filed a claim and somehow the delivery team found out so one of the guys called me threatening me that I shouldn't file a claim and that things could get ugly in court. I called XPO to let them know about the guy who called and that didn't seem to matter. I've been told 3 times that they'd send me a settlement check and till this day I haven't received anything. They never answer or return my calls.

Sears in Saukville, Wisconsin - Poor Quality Tractor and Bad Customer Service

Sears 22HP, 46", Kohler engine tractor. Two year old tractor-inpossible to start from new-choke only opened half way. Diehard Battery DIED the 2nd year. Motor mounts loose, first year, then fell out. Service call, parts ordered, One week wait for initial appointment. Nine days for parts before 2nd appointment. Day before installation, parts not here. Called Customer Service-robotic person with pat answers, "we're sorry, I understand your frustration". Spoke with such a heavy accent that I couldn't understand her. Called again, could barely hear person for all the laughing in background. No wonder Sears is closing stores. Will never buy from Sears again.

I will never buy another appliance from Sears!!! I almost purchased a washer snd when i called my local store there was no answer anywhere in the store for hours. I merely wanted to change my delivery option to pick up. This attempt was no less than a fiasco!! When i finally did get someone they directed to the 800 number which was somewhere in the Philippines Trying to talk to people who don't even understand English and re_directed me back to the store. I CANCELED MY ORDER AND WENT TO HOME DEPOT. Amazing difference. Dont waste your time or money at Sears.

I purchased a Sears free standing range May 2, 2016 paid for install and discovered the oven door would not close. Called got a replacement and same problem. Got a different model but it's now June 20, 2016 and my range has not been installed. I am truly disappointed with Sears product and service. If I had known Sears had so many complaints I would've gone to a different store. They are definitely not the dependable company they used to be. Please don't buy anything from Sears! Hopefully, all stores will close soon.

We purchased a lawnmower with delivery and set up. They left us the box. It seemed assembled other than the handle, but the self-propel didn't work. After 4-5 phone transfers, they refused to come out to fix it for free. Now, a month later, we are still on the phone as I write, 4-5 transfers in, after much duct tape, trying to get service that we paid for originally. After another hour on the phone, we finally have someone scheduled to come out. We'll see if they actually show up now. If you want no-hassle customer service, Do not shop Sears is our bottom line!

Samsung Electronics Refrigerator Review

My son bought a new refrigerator from Sears, what they delivered was a refurbished refrigerator and the repair was not done correctly. The discovery that it had been refurbished was made when a service tech came out to repair the refrigerator . Called Sears and just got passed around, why should they care they already had their money. I'm done with Sears, worst experience ever.

the stores around here never seem to have the a/c working...too hot to wander around and shop...so I end up leaving. Kmart has been on everyone's list down here for being too hot to shop in, you are getting that reputation also. I don't know how you can keep workers. Sears Return Policy

The 30 day return policy is ridiculous!!!!! Bought a skirt & top. Was not feasible to alter, so tried to return to store of purchase. Handed a REFUND DECLINE slip with an 800 number ( useless to call any Sears number as you only hear the same robotic answer....."30 day return policy, no exceptions"). Policy NOT stated on receipt. Told that I should have checked online. If the return policy is 30 days, can't the idiots in corporate print such at bottom of the receipt? This appears to be a deliberate scheme to scam customers. Will NEVER do business with Sears again. Who wants to do any type of business with a company that treats customers with such little respect after a purchase. I don't know of any other retail store with such ridiculous policies on a clothing item. Good by to Sears. This company deserves to be in the financial strain it is in. Hope others also take their business and money elsewhere, too.

I just experienced the same issue with a return on day 33. This was purchased in advance of an event.

All packaging was still intact as well as the receipt. Would not even make exchange.

Which would have put the $$ right back in Sears pocket. But instead cost them a customer and I will shout from the roof tops DO NOT SPEND YOUR $ at Sears.

The policy is clearly stated on a sign above the registers. If you had looked up, you would've seen it when purchasing.

Also, if you weren't sure what the policy was, you should have called the store or looked it up online. This is in no way their fault. It is yours.

It's not a ridiculous policy.

It's their policy.

Just because you were ignorant and unhappy because your own mistake(s) does not mean that they have to pamper you. If you knew the items weren't going to work out, then you probably should have brought them back right away, not a million years later.
