Sears in Waverley, Nova Scotia - Kenmore Elite Range

Bought a kenmore elite in late 2009. For several years we have had a problem with racks falling into oven. Serious safety issue. After checking the internet to see how to fix the issue we discovered that at least a dozen other people had reported the same issue. I called Sears. Not only have they not recalled the product they said we were outside of their service area. Strange they had no problem delivering them here. We live in Waverley, a few miles from Dartmouth, NS. The oven is a bloody safety hazzard as the walls apparently expand after using the self cleaning function. I am beyond pissed off! Never buy their products. They do not stand behind them or provide proper service.

The fact that many manufacturers use the very same part should tell you something. You overpaid, most likely for one of those dumb and inefficient front loaders and then compounded it by purchasing a very, very expensive extended warranty.

Just think of all the machines you could have bought with all the money you paid for both items mentioned. It is always best to buy a basic appliance with no bells and whistles and never, ever an extended warranty.

When it breaks and you cannot fix it yourself after the original warranty period, just throw it out and buy another cheap, basic model. You will save alot of money by using some common sense.

used mower three times this year. runs poorly, took it to sears for repair, was told there was bad gas in mower and needed carberator repair at a cost of 101 dollars. by the way this is a new mower under warranty. I don't see why i should pay for repairs, this was a cheaper mower sold by sears. i should have bought a more expensive mower somewhere else. reality is i have a 170 dollar mower which is now 300 dollars by the way i had a new heat pump and furnace installed by sears in march of 2016 at a cost over 10000 dollars. forget any future purchases at sears.

Kenmore Washing Machine Review

Bought new kitchen and wash/dryer set, washer goes after 1 year, with 3 warranty. Service takes so far, 2 months to come out and fix. Not acceptable. Fool me once, and no more money for Sears from me ever again. It's great to see companies living and dying by their own lack of standard. Even the old timer once loyal crowds are turning. Sears, Kmart, yeah these guys are about done now.

The store manager from Sears New Brunswick is very rude to the customer she never wants to help the members with the problem always sending us to call diffrent numbers or isn't at work when she is needed. She pushes her associated to annoy us about the *** credits which is highly annoying we tell them that we don't want it and they constatly insist. She doesn't treat her employers good is obviously know since she can't treat her own customers at her store in a respectfully manner.

Sears in Thornville, Ohio - Addendum for "wit's end"

At my initial attempt to return everything I bought, My faulty double wall oven had only been used twice, so it was still brand new upon trying to return it. As for the other appliances purchased at same time, of course the fridge & dishwasher had been in use since delivery in October 2015. As for my sales lady, After she dropped the ball with me, she was no longer employed at Sears! I also wanted to add that I made several trips and phone calls to my local Sears store Heath, Ohio,) and made many several service calls trying to get things taken care of...SEARS is the WORST company I've ever dealt with! What happened to QUALITY & SERVICE? We are owners business ourselves, if we treated our customers the way Sears has treated us, we would have been out of business years ago! Is this the reason for the many Sears store closings? I know I will never shop there again!

At my wit's end with Sears, Heath, Ohio

I have had the worst purchasing nightmare in my life ever!!! When I was ready to replace all of my kitchen appliances I went to Sears 9/25/15 seeking good quality & good service! I got neither! I wanted all matching appliances so I went with Kenmore Elite. I ordered and paid for them that very day. The deliveries were spread out through the month of October. I had to call service the very next day for my double wall oven because the racks peel the porcelain off oven walls leaving porcelain chips in bottom of oven (both ovens same problem). had to wait a week for service only for them to tell me there is nothing they could do, but told me to rub racks down with CRISCO! Really? the replaced it finally, oven #2 has very same problem! In the meantime I realized one of my cook top's burners does not heat properly, my dishwasher's heated dry does not seem to dry very well (silverware basket drips water when I pull it out & needs hand dried). My side by side freezer frosts up & there's a problem with hinge on fridge, microwave has door & touch pad issues and does not match other appliances like it was supposed to, and trash compactor is just a rattletrap. They were supposed to bring me oven #3, before Thanksgiving as they knew I was having 40 guests for the holiday... It never happened! So after Thanksgiving I went to Sears to see manager, I told her because of all the issues with my brand new appliances & extremely poor service I had, I just wanted to return everything & get my money back. Angela (manager at Sears Heath Ohio) said I waited to long. But she would review everything and get back with me. That was early December! I called Sears several times since then (December, January, February & March) they have never called me back! I am so sick & tired of being sick & tired of Sears! It is now almost June 2016... They are wearing me down & I'm sure that was their plan. I am not going to settle for this kind of treatment!

I bought a Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator about 3 years ago. I called Sears to tell them the paint is peeling off the front of the fridge. They said "oh well it's out of warranty but if I'd like to pay $60 today and $39 a month they will come and look at it", but "it may not be covered". Are these people for real? There call center is now in Asia somewhere. The best is when you call Sears Holdings Corporate it just sends the call back to the call center. Cute!. I'm done with Sears, of course since they are about to fall through the floor it's no big deal.

That's serious. Sears should immediately recall that microwave and give everyone who purchased one a full refund, including you.

There could have been a loss of life if someone's home had caught on fire due to their microwave catching fire.

Also, everyone who gets their refund should also receive a brand new microwave from Sears free of charge. (a different model, of course!)
