Sears - No wonder this company is tanking

I ordered a washer and dryer online. I ordered online because any time I go into Sears I feel like I'm surrounded by vultures working on commission. I was instructed to call to schedule delivery. I called the home delivery line, they advised me to call the customer service line, which I did. They informed me that I would receive an e-mail in 3-5 days then I could set up the delivery. As I was purchasing due to my old washer being broken I informed them to cancel the order. A few hours later I received confirmation that my order was being processed. I call customer service who says they can't cancel I need to call home delivery. I call home delivery who cancels but says in order to get a confirmation email I need to call customer service. Finally I get a confirmation email only to realize they charged my card several times. Do they care? No. Are they able to tell me when my money will be refunded? No. Thousands of dollars tied up. The bright spot in all of this is that Lowes sold me the same set for $100 cheaper and delivered same day. Sears will probably close before I see my refund. Sears customer service is obviously outsourced and not even the good outsourcing where you can comprehend the broken English. They obviously have no level of continuity in training. It's exceedingly obvious why Sears and Kmart are closing at an alarming rate. Stay away.

Sears in Linden, New Jersey - Delivery system and broken refrigerator

1/31/16 (Sunday) bought refrigerator from Sears store at Watchung, NJ requested haul away and made sure I repeat couple times, my delivery came Tuesday 2/3/16 the drivers recused to haul away my old unit and at the end the new refrigerator they were delivering was damage. I called the home delivery department and request for another one to be delivered as soon as possible they assured me I would receive the refrigerator Wednesday, the day came I called to confirm they told me that refrigerator was not available that my delivery was confirmed Thursday. Thursday came they came to deliver another damaged refrigerator and of course I was very upsad with the whole situation, you can't run a household without a refrigerator. A lady from Home Delivery department called stating that I would either expect delivery Saturday or cancel the order because I was rude to her driver, mind you I am the customer and she is calling me rude after all the inconvenience I was put thru with this company. Home delivery departments is one of the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in my live, it seems that Sears doesn't care for their customer and put anyone handling their home delivery service which is terrible.

NEVER EVER EVER use Sears.com's online layaway!!!!

Placed 2 layaways online within days of each other with Sears.com (not Sears). Sears.com cancelled both layaways without telling me and without my request. Payments were up to date on both. For 5 months I have been "re-routed to" and "emailed from" a number of people but still have been unable to secure a refund for the second layaway. The first was refunded without incident. Absolutely NO ONE in Sears.com is capable of following a paper trail, let alone a paper trail as convoluted as the one that is housed in Sears.com (I believe they hire these types by design). I've utilized their online layaway many times and this is the first time I have experienced any challenges with their service. As a result, I was left with no other option but to file a small claims suit in Illinois due to their blatant indifference.

I know dryers that aren’t clean can be fire hazards, Dri & Kleen Home Services is one of the best dryer vent cleaning service provider. OUR KENMORE REFRIGERATOR WAS NOT COOLING PROPERLY. REPAIRMAN REPLACED COMPUTER BOARD. STILL DID NOT COOL PROPERLY. REPLACED COMPRESSOR, CONDENSOR AND FANS. WORKED FOR ABOUT A WEEK. CAME AND REPLACED THE BOARD AGAIN. NEXT DAY NOT COOLING AT ALL. WE HAVE ALREADY LOST A GARBAGE BAG OF FOOD WHICH THEY DID NOT REPLACE. GET THE COOLERS OUT AGAIN.WHY WOULD A $3600 REFRIGERATOR ONLY WORK FOR 3 YEARS. OUR 20 YR OLD ONE IS STILL WORKING IN OUR DAUGHTER'S GARAGE. DOES SEARS EVER HAVE TO REPLACE A FAULTY PRODUCT? I purchased an engagement ring online but unfortunately my fiancé didn't like the ring so I returned it via UPS from the tracking label SEARS emailed me. After two weeks of waiting I called to check the status of the return. These sorry individuals didn't have none of the return information, tracking number, nothing. I had to do my own research for them. I mean what are you getting paid for if I have to do your job for you. After giving them the info the should already have, the individual going to tell me I have to wait 3-5 business days for my refund. Excuse me its been pass 3-5 business days, *** its been two weeks and I still have to wait. I would not ever in my life recommend sears to anybody. *** I need a paycheck from Sears after doing my own research and giving it to these insignificant individuals that don't know nothing. reading from a *** script to me. Please stop it. Im not slow nor incompetent, I know what im talking about and doing.

Sears in Plainfield, New Jersey - Stove

We brought a stove from Sears in late October early November with paid delivery. The heartless unlicensed individual who installed the stove snatched the old stove out of space only to rip the gas line out while my three children, pets and sickly aunt was in the house. The fire department would not enter my home due to the strong gas odor. the individual caused $1100 in damage. I am now filing a complaint against both Sears and Expo Logistic in small claims court.

Sears in Venice, Florida - Horrible attitude towards customer

About 9 months ago I purchased ( online) an Evolv Compressor that was pickled up by me at a Sears Retail store. Last month I finally got around to hooking it up to do some air nailing. No pressure...useless piece of garbage.The warranty provided in the manual says if thye machine fails to work within one year RETURN IT TO ANY SEARS STORE OR ANY OTHER CRAFTSMAN EVOLV OUTLET. ***!!! A big fat lie! Each store has refused to honor this. STAY AWAY FROM SEARS. The aggravation and high theft potential is not worth the bargain price. Their warranty means nothing. *** at least Wal Mart honors its warranties

I put some items on Sears layaway in December. Due to the weather being so bad I missed a payment. I was told I'd get a refund. called Sears they told me to go back to the store. The store claims I have to call the corporate number, which they haven't given to me. I went on your chat format they said they couldn't help me. I knew Sears was bad I just didn't know it was this bad dealing with customers. Two months later and I'm getting nowhere.
