so hard to assemble and sears will not help. their customer service is a disaster. do not buy through Internet ! so sorry I went to sears ! next time I shall go somewhere else where they provide help. some employees really do not care ! sad to see such a bad management you need to improve your after sales department if you want to catch more clients. competition exists and you should realize that. do it or you will fail

Sears in Hilo, Hawaii - Warranty!!

You pay big bucks for Sears warranty on any appliance. But when your appliance fails you, you'll have to wait forever to get it fixed! Especially if some *** repairman orders the wrong parts on your first repair appointment. Then on the second repair attempt he finds out its the wrong part and has to reorder the part again! Let's see what the third repair attempt brings me!!! Ridiculous to have to deal with people like that! Yet he tells me the part should arrive the next day....haha which it never did and it's the weekend and Fedx and UPS does not deliver till Monday! What a bunch of *** from Sears appliances to the repairman!

so if it did not work upon installation why didn't you have them come exchange it out then? sounds fishy to me that someone would get something installed and NOT test it right away to ensure it worked.

My wife and I were looking for a twin bed at sears in Hastings MN and I should of listened to my wife and went to Slumberland and bought one. My thought was they are local and the bed was just for a spare room. Had to wait for two weeks to get it but like I said its a spare room. They told us Jan 8th but it was a day late and we had one of our employees pick it up for us. I was at home waiting and after we unloaded it I noticed I got two box springs and no mattress so we called sears right away. They had to check into it and call us back. They called my wife and said they ordered the wrong thing and it was going to cost us more money if we wanted the mattress. My wife said what? They told her it would be another $85.61 to get the mattress and we would not have it till Jan 20th or so. So now it will be about a month or more and cost even more money then we were quoted for Sears mistake. I already am getting yelled at by my wife that we should of never went to Sears and instead got it at Slumberland. THANK YOU SEARS! On a situation like this I would think since it was Sears mistake they should eat the $85.61 for inconvenience they just costed there customer! Sad part is while the wife was ordering the bed I was checking out the appliances because we are also going to redo the kitchen and laundry room, but now Sears will not get another dime from us!

Sears in Atascadero, California - Dishwasher

I bought a Whirlpool dishwasher from Sears 8 months ago since then it has had 8 service calls ,5 repairs and 3 where they came out with the wring parts. My dishwasher has now been broken since December 5th. At this time they have agreed to replace the dishwasher which seemed like a good thing...Not so I chose the new dishwasher on December 23rd they finally called me on January 6th and can not install the new dishwasher until January 27th. At this point I would have rather they fixed the old one at least I would have a dishwasher. I have spoken with installation,delivery,customer service,the local store and the compensation department spending hours on hold ,being hung up and getting the wrong answers. It appears to me Sears is no longer a reputable company. Buyer Beware!!!!

Sears in Desoto, Texas - Frig delivery left me out in the cold

I purchased a refrigerator from Sears and set up a delivery time. When the time had come and gone I called Sears and they said it should be delivered shortly. It ended up being delivered 2 hours late. I had plans that night that were ruined as I had to wait till 9:00 pm at night for them to finally arrive.I talked to CS who apologized and said that they would send me a 50.00 gift certificate and a survey to complete. That was over a month ago and I have written to them twice asking what the status of my certificate was and got no response to either request. It is no wonder to me that Sears is on a downhill slide as a business if they cannot even meet a simple deadline or follow through with a promise to a customer after a mistake has been made.

I am an older customer and have shopped at Sears for my entire life.Recently had need to call for a furnace repair.Big mistake.Waited two days for an appointment for service,took time off of work to be home and they did not show up.Turns out they scheduled me for the following week.This is Cleveland in January mind you.As irate as I was a very nice customer service rep convinced me to give them another try and I somewhat reluctantly agreed.Mistake.Late in the afternoon of the scheduled appointment I called to confirm.After being put on hold for several minutes I was told they could not make it and could not come out till Monday.They did not intend to call me.Iwent into I need to talk to someone higher up mode,another mistake.I was shuffled between several extensions,put on hold,offered a fifty dollar gift card,apoligized to and given a colossal runaround.Their strategy worked and after being transferred to Jordan who sounded like he was talking on a phone under water,I gave up.I have called a local company who are coming between six and eight tonight and happy to do so.If I can spare anyone the same lousy experience I have had ,this post will be the well spent.Do not call Sears to fix anything unless you are willing to gamble on receiving a similar scenario.

Seriously? You spent all that money and left a dishwasher you knew to be faulty.

Then you leave it running while you are not home? What you have dealt with is unfortunate but I would have never installed new flooring until I had spent a few hundred more and bought a new dishwasher. Horror story?

You should speak with my grandmother who survived the Holocaust. Now THAT was a horror story!

Sears in Tewksbury, Massachusetts - Trying To Return An Online Order: Impossible!

I have an item to return. It turns out that despite the fact that I bought it on Sears web site, it is not their product and refuse to accept the return, saying that the manufacturer needs to authorize that. I have tried twice via phone to Sears online customer service (which is based in the Philippines by the way) to get the needed RMA. No dice. Sears will not accept the return at their local stores. I'm pissed.
