Sears - Installation Review from Dripping Springs, Texas

Purchased a chain link fence from sears and installation was done by sears, or should I say sears contracted someone to install. Fence had a lifetime warranty on it, nice plastic coated wire. Well, about 3 yrs down the line, wire starts to rust, plastic coating cracks, breaks, wire rusts. Attempted to get problems corrected various times and they just will not stand by their warranty. It has been year since these issues with Sears, the fence is litterally falling apart on its own. Holes the size of basket balls where fence is just rusting and falling apart. Why are they allowed to advertise lifetime warranties and not held accountable when problems such as this occur... I dont recommend anyone purchase any type of home improvements from Sears, save yourself the trouble of having to deal with thier associates excuses, poor behavior at times and lack of resposibility to their customers...

I sent Sears corporate headquarters chief exclusive officer a complaint against one of this New York City Sears store. I also sent him a $400 gift card with that letter of complaint requesting that a GMC bicycle be sent to me. He never responded to my letter and he kept the $400 gift card as far as I am concerned they are nothing but a bunch of thieves and liars

Had a new garage door installed, I had already paid for the install. The installer charged me an extra $100 for making adjustments to the rail that was part of the install. I called to complain and was routed to 3 different numbers and no one would take my complaint. So finally out of frustration I asked for them to take it back and refund me my money. Now waiting on them to schedule a time to uninstall the opener.

I purchased a Craftsman Garage Door Opener from Sears on 12/2. I had to wait 6 days before I could get it installed. Sears could not give me a time frame - I had to wait by the phone for them to call and tell me when they would be here. On 12/8 the finally installed the opener. It worked for 1 day, and now will not work at all. I called the service number provided on the sticker by the garage door, and was told I had the wrong number. I called the next number they said I needed to call, and again, was told I had the wrong number. I then called the third number and they said I had the wrong department and wanted me to call yet another number. I insisted THEY call the other number and stay on the line until we knew I had the right department. VERY FRUSTRATING! Then, they said they would not be able to send a technician out until 12/14. I said that is rediculous, I want it fixed now. It only worked for 1 day. They stuck to their guns and said the 14th. Then I asked for a time frame of when they would call, and was told that I again needed to sit by the phone until they called. I am so angry, I swear I will NEVER BUY ANYTHING LARGE FROM SEARS AGAIN!! My car is parked on the street, I live on a steep incline and it is hard for an old woman like myself to lug everything up the driveway. I want my garage door fixed and I don't want their telephone shuffle and lousy customer service anymore. Whatever happened to customer service? Do they even know what that means any more????

Sears in Phoenix, Arizona - Brand new washer dryer purchased 12/2 installed 12/6 dryer brook 12/8

I had gone to sears prices' corner in delaware, on 12/2/15 to purchase a new washer/dryer..delivery was 12/6 ... dryer broke on 12/8 ...had called customer service no# ..it is not in America..told my story to 6 different people..who only said...It's a GE and only a GE repairman can fix. Did not want it fixed..I wanted it replaced. They all talked over me...I then asked ..Who can I speak to ..I don't want it repaired I want a new dryer. Finally someone gave me over to Customer Solutions ..spoke to a "Stacy" she was very helpful..because she heard the anger and frustration in my voice. She took my info..gave me 2 choices repair or replace...I said replace. then she set up a CASE NO# and a Sales Ck #. After our conversation..she had set up a Delivery for 12/10 ..and that the Delivery people would call on 12/9 between 6 - 9PM...WHAT A JOKE...no one called..I finally had to call spoke again to someone outside the US..barley understood them..had them repeat several times...called on 12/10 to see what time they would deliver ???? never again will I ever ever purchase anything from sears again !!!

Sears customer service is the WORST I have ever encountered.

I purchased a new dishwasher from Sears. Installation was delayed for weeks, when finally installed it was done incorrectly; when I had them come back to complete their work they refused to finish the installation I paid for. Customer service was worthless, the local store manager also worthless. I strongly recommend avoiding Sears for home appliances. They demonstrate a lack of basic customer service. In addition the service tech committed to arriving between 10 am - 2 pm; just past noon he called to let me know he would not be there until between 3:30 and 4 p; at 4 pm he calls to tell me it wont be there at all. I would like to know who has an entire day to sit around and wait for a Sears service technician.

Sears - Kenmore Elite 721 86002 Microwave Oven Review from Raleigh, North Carolina

I have a KENMORE over the range microwave. It is less than 5 years old and it has had 3 major breakdowns. The first 2 were covered under the 3 year warranty plus an additional year warranty I bought because of being scared. But now it is out of warranty and once again it isnt working. It was repaired less than a year ago. And it is a Kenmore, Sears own brand! I will never buy another Kenmore product! I buy all my appliances from Sears always. But this is making me think twice. I also have a Kenmore range and it has an intermittent problem which never happened when the repair man was here. Also the door design on the range is very bad. Spills get in between the glasses on the door. Looks horrible! I know I willnever buy another Kenmore EVER! The microwave is unacceptable. 1st breakdown was less than 2 years old! Bad. Bad. Bad.

Sears in Wilmington, Delaware - Charged a restocking for a refrigerator that did not work

We purchased a Sears refrigerator and discovered within a few days that the freezer section formed frost (it was suppose to be frost free) and it leaked cold air. We asked to get it fixed. A technician did come out and showed me on his laptop that the leaky freezer was a common problem with this freezer. He did the recommended fix. It did not work and the freezer section continued to accumulate frost and it leaked cold air. We asked to return the refrigerator and get our money back. What an ordeal! They stated that it was past the 30 day warranty. We pointed out that we complained about the issue before the 30 days and it was their slow service response. Eventually the did agree to give us out money back. They even sent us a confirmation email that showed the correct amount of money to be returned to us. After a week, a credit did show up on our account but it was $99.75 less than the amount that had been confirmed in the email There was no explanation. After more phone calls, (I have all the calls documented) we finally got an explanation that it was a restocking fee -- so Sears restocked a defective refrigerator!!! That is unethical and should be against the law. We complained to our credit card company (Sears credit card!) and after more phone calls (again documented) they eventually agreed that there was a restocking fee (for a defective refrigerator).

Thanks for the heads up... Don't need the drama with Sears.

I'll be looking elsewhere for my next refrigerator.

With such a despicable customer service department .

It won't be long before Sears ends up being nothing more than a footnote in retail history. Just like Montgomery Wards!!!

They never responded to my complaint and kept the gift card. yesterday someone from regal Park Sears contacted me and was supposed to get back in touch with me this morning and never did. they stole my gift card never sent me the product and when they do contact me they don't resolve the situation they are nothing but a bunch of liars and thieves don't buy nothing from them and definitely do not write them a letter or send them a gift card with money in it because they will keep it for themselves

First off, the review was against Sears Holding corporate office chief exclusive officer. I sent them a complaint against that Queens New York store along with a gift card with $400 they never sent me the item and they kept my $450 gift card they are nothing but a bunch of thieves and liars my situation has not been resolved
