Sears will not honor warranty...

I bought a 50" LG Plasma just over two years ago and purchased a extended warranty. The TV started about 3 months or so ago when it gets hot turning itself off for 5 to 10 minutes, or when you hit the volume control. I call Sears and they sent someone from Alabama, which is over 120 miles from where I live. The took it and kept it for 3 weeks and brought it back and said there is nothing wrong with it. This was how they honored my extended warranty. I call the 800-749-5899 to report this. They told me they would send the same people from Alabama again, these are the ones who said there was nothing wrong with it. I've been shopping with Sears for over 50 years and this is my first warranty issue, but never again. Sears will never get any of my money again. Both Sears and the Service place, without using the word lier, called me a lier. Buyers Beware... Anonymous

Sears in Houston, Texas - Liar, liar, liar

elderly customer who purchased a sofa that was not delivered on time.therefore, i told sears not to deliver. to return the product. speaking with sears i was told (absolutely) that if returning the sofa i would receive 100% credit on my MC. i asked this question in several ways.always the same answer. BEHOLD !!! they charged me 97.00 as a cancellation for a product they didn't even deliver in timely (promised) manner. sears, you're a liar. you dance around issues with no intention of resolution !!! it's all HYPE !!! i am a disabled 70 yr. old person on fixed income .... no wonder you're sinking !!!!james curet (sears, listen to your own tape !!!!

DO NOT SHOP AT SEARS!!!

My wife and I have been life-long customers, as were our parents. We have shopped at Sears for everything our family needs from shoes, appliances, and tools....but NEVER AGAIN! Sears boasts no hassle returns but havent they always had no hassle returns...Isn't that why this company has been in business for over 100 years? My recent experience took less then 15 minutes to purchase an item via phone, but to receive a hassle free refund it will take close to a month of run around and overseas customer service redirecting me to the website that doesnt function. I called back 20 minutes later, the same number I made my purchase, to cancel my order and my information wasnt available, no one could find my order. I called my credit company the next day and the order was pending...mmm...they can charge you very easily but it will take an act of God to get it back. This company is not hassle free if you need any customer service AFTER your purchase. Once they get your money they are done with you. After days and days and a dozen phone calls I Finally spoke with an English speaking representative who SOLD me an electronic UPS label. Then they directed me to spend my time and my fuel to take my purchase once received to a UPS location so that sometime at their convenience I will get a refund. Does this sound hassle free??? To say the least - I will never buy from Sears again and for the remainder of my days I will tell everybody I come in contact with "DO NOT SHOP AT SEARS!"

Sears in Indio, California - Worst Service I've ever Had

I have a service contract with Sears. Microwave failed and service call was on Nov 19. Technician did not have parts and they were express ordered and delivered the next day. Called to get parts installe and was told can't come until Nov 30. Didn't like the long wait but accepted it. Time given was 10am -2-pm. Time was changed by email on the day service was to be provided 3 TIMES with the last time ending in 4:45pm. When I called and indicated no one would be here at 4:45, they wanted to reschedule to Dec 8 which would have been 3 weeks from the original service call. Escalated the complaint and it was a waste of time. Worst service I've ever had. Both Sears and their subcontract service company, A&E Appliance are worthless. DO NOT USE EITHER FOR SERVICE.

I had contacted Sears Home Repair Service about doing preventive work on my Air Conditioning. The repairman took it apart and began to tell me I need a new air conditioner, capacitor, and electrical work to be done.

When I shared with him that the unit is less than 4 years new and had receipts his attitude changed and said oh well, I can't fix it for you. We asked about the Freon and he stated "it is fine that is not the problem". He then went on to close it up and then inform us that he can't help us.

The next day I had a certified repairman come out.

He checked the unit, replaced 4 pds of Freon and it works like a charm and the temp is not 76 degrees. CV Air & Cooling is the best!

Fighting with Sears to get my money back and additional fees added on.

DISSAPOINTED WITH SEARS. Went into sears on Saturday the day after black Friday to look at a lawn tractor. The price was 2507.00 on sale, I ask if that was a black Friday sale. Answer: no. The salesman said they have been this price for a while now, and he was nice enough to send me an email for 10% off, So I went home to do some research, and decided to buy. I checked it Monday morning, you never know they might have a better deal on cyber Monday. To my surprise their cyber sale was 2699.99. That's 192.00 higher. That shouldn't be a problem, so I called sears, the same salesman said, "you should have bought it when you had the chance" this time he wasn't so nice and would not honor the price. DISSAPOINTED IN SEARS.

I purchased a recliner through Sears online for 1044.00. Recliner came by truck three weeks later. When i took recliner out of the box there was no way to attach the back to the seat. Brackets were missing. I was told by sears there was nothing they could do and referred me to their purchaser. After a couple dozen emails to Unbeatable sale and Sears and the manufacturer Chelsea Furniture i still have an unuseable 1000 dollar recliner in my living room after over a month. Worst online buying experience ever.

I know. I just baught a bed from them spend way to much and it's causing the worst back pain I've ever felt I served 9 years active military 3 tours and had 5 kidney stones so me saying the pain is bad it's bad.

They basically told me with pick up fees and restock fees I'd be loosing aroind 600. I've tried reviewing there product on there site but it won't post bad reviews on there new products I guess

Sears in Muncy, Pennsylvania - Overall poor delivery service

We bought a refrigerator on November 15 at the Muncy, Pa store and the delivery date was November 20. The delivery people arrived on time and were very courteous but certainly not very thorough. They left without leveling the refrigerator. He had to know it was not level because at one point the door slammed back against the wall. So my husband who had a stroke 15 years ago had to try to get down on the floor to level it. I think that should have been their job. Then on Thanksgiving day it started making a strange sound and we thought that it was already having a problem. After checking the back where the sound was coming from we found a certificate of conformity that was attached to the back of the refrigerator with blue tape that they should have removed. You would think no big deal but my husband had to again try to get back down on the floor again to raise the legs so we could pull the refrigerator out just so we could remove the tag. Easy job for someone who has never had a stroke but not my husband. I know you're going to say we could have called service but we were disgusted and didn't want to wait who knows how long. It took us almost a week to get it delivered. So at this point I am thoroughly disgusted with Sears and will look elsewhere for my next purchase.

I purchased a Christmas tree (color switch plus) from Sears by Kmart online last Christmas. It says it has a 3 year warranty. I put the bottom piece on the stand it lit up, then the 2nd piece. It lit up. Then the last piece and it lit up. Perfect. I put it away and it is now November. Time to put up the tree again. So I put the bottom in. Nothing lights up. The rotating stand it attaches to that came with it works fine. The power goes through it so I know it's not a power issue. I've tried 3 different working outlets. No lights. No burnt, missing or loose bulbs. I only used it for 2 weeks last year. So I call Sears warranty center. After giving them all the info and a 30 min phone conversation. She tells me I didn't purchase an extra warranty so I would have to go through the manufacturer. Ok no problem. I find out the manufacturer is Kmart which is one in the same with Sears. On the box and the stand it says made in China for Kmart. So I call Kmart warranty which happens to have the same phone number. I explained that they are the manufacturer and I need a replacement. Another 30 minutes and the representative tells me she will mail me my original receipt and I can take it to a Sears repair center since that's the warranty I have. I asked if she could email it since its 2015 she said no it has to go to the billing address. I ordered it online so they also have my email. She told me once it gets there it would take 3-6 weeks to repair. Christmas will be over. I wasted $300 on a product that lasted 2 weeks and they won't fix it until after I don't need it anymore. I have to purchase a new tree. I purchased a lot from Sears for many years. From clothes to appliances but I will never shop with Sears or Kmart again due to this issue.

Sears in Livonia, Michigan - Terrible customer service and rude employees

I paid $500 plus for a snowblower online and I selected the option to pick it up at the merchandise pickup area in Livonia MI. I get there and was the first customer of the day and the employee, Royce, was a complete *** to me. He wheeled my snowblower out on a dolly and when he realized I was driving a car, he refused to even wheel it out to my car to see if it would fit. He kept telling me that he does this every day for a living and was yelling that he was not going to wheel it out there because he knew for a fact that it wouldn't fit. I asked him several times if we could just take it out there and see because I was a single woman and only had the car to pick it up in. He continued to refuse. I asked him if I could measure it and he was a complete *** and was basically berating me and arguing with me. He did all of this in front of another customer who felt the need to tell me "good luck" on her way out because it was so bad. I told him I needed to speak to a manager and he continued to speak disrespectfully to me in front of the manager too who did nothing about it. Two managers came out to assist...they were very nice, however, they told me they'd give me "rewards points" for the trouble their employee caused. I didn't get the points and felt like they were making excuses for him and why he was behaving that way. I will NEVER go to sears again.
