Sears in Muncy, Pennsylvania - Overall poor delivery service

We bought a refrigerator on November 15 at the Muncy, Pa store and the delivery date was November 20. The delivery people arrived on time and were very courteous but certainly not very thorough. They left without leveling the refrigerator. He had to know it was not level because at one point the door slammed back against the wall. So my husband who had a stroke 15 years ago had to try to get down on the floor to level it. I think that should have been their job. Then on Thanksgiving day it started making a strange sound and we thought that it was already having a problem. After checking the back where the sound was coming from we found a certificate of conformity that was attached to the back of the refrigerator with blue tape that they should have removed. You would think no big deal but my husband had to again try to get back down on the floor again to raise the legs so we could pull the refrigerator out just so we could remove the tag. Easy job for someone who has never had a stroke but not my husband. I know you're going to say we could have called service but we were disgusted and didn't want to wait who knows how long. It took us almost a week to get it delivered. So at this point I am thoroughly disgusted with Sears and will look elsewhere for my next purchase.

I purchased a Christmas tree (color switch plus) from Sears by Kmart online last Christmas. It says it has a 3 year warranty. I put the bottom piece on the stand it lit up, then the 2nd piece. It lit up. Then the last piece and it lit up. Perfect. I put it away and it is now November. Time to put up the tree again. So I put the bottom in. Nothing lights up. The rotating stand it attaches to that came with it works fine. The power goes through it so I know it's not a power issue. I've tried 3 different working outlets. No lights. No burnt, missing or loose bulbs. I only used it for 2 weeks last year. So I call Sears warranty center. After giving them all the info and a 30 min phone conversation. She tells me I didn't purchase an extra warranty so I would have to go through the manufacturer. Ok no problem. I find out the manufacturer is Kmart which is one in the same with Sears. On the box and the stand it says made in China for Kmart. So I call Kmart warranty which happens to have the same phone number. I explained that they are the manufacturer and I need a replacement. Another 30 minutes and the representative tells me she will mail me my original receipt and I can take it to a Sears repair center since that's the warranty I have. I asked if she could email it since its 2015 she said no it has to go to the billing address. I ordered it online so they also have my email. She told me once it gets there it would take 3-6 weeks to repair. Christmas will be over. I wasted $300 on a product that lasted 2 weeks and they won't fix it until after I don't need it anymore. I have to purchase a new tree. I purchased a lot from Sears for many years. From clothes to appliances but I will never shop with Sears or Kmart again due to this issue.

Sears in Livonia, Michigan - Terrible customer service and rude employees

I paid $500 plus for a snowblower online and I selected the option to pick it up at the merchandise pickup area in Livonia MI. I get there and was the first customer of the day and the employee, Royce, was a complete *** to me. He wheeled my snowblower out on a dolly and when he realized I was driving a car, he refused to even wheel it out to my car to see if it would fit. He kept telling me that he does this every day for a living and was yelling that he was not going to wheel it out there because he knew for a fact that it wouldn't fit. I asked him several times if we could just take it out there and see because I was a single woman and only had the car to pick it up in. He continued to refuse. I asked him if I could measure it and he was a complete *** and was basically berating me and arguing with me. He did all of this in front of another customer who felt the need to tell me "good luck" on her way out because it was so bad. I told him I needed to speak to a manager and he continued to speak disrespectfully to me in front of the manager too who did nothing about it. Two managers came out to assist...they were very nice, however, they told me they'd give me "rewards points" for the trouble their employee caused. I didn't get the points and felt like they were making excuses for him and why he was behaving that way. I will NEVER go to sears again.

SEARS IS HORRIBLE!

I will never shop at Sears or KMart again. I have been a customer of theirs for years. Went through a tough time recently so I did not use my credit card there. They do not appreciate your business unless you spend tons of money (obviously) and shop there constantly. I had a cc with them and because I didn't use it often enough, they closed it down out of no where and with no warning. Don't spend your money at Sears or KMart since they are unappreciative...I know me and my family will not!!!

Sears in Miami, Florida - Unresponsive and ineffective customer service

When I was growing up in Chicago, my parents and I shopped almost exclusively at Sears which offered friendly and effective service. Unfortunately my recent experiences with Sears repair and customer service have been horrible and ineffective. Do NOT use Sears repair in contrast to IKEA and other stores which stands behind its service and products. Sears repair charged me over $500 to repair my AC in Miami. The AC failed to work a few months later; however Sears claimed that their 90 day warranty (they had never advised us of this limit) had expired. I contacted Customer Solutions, the Sears Exec Office etc. MANY times. I was shuttled to at least 8 people, two of whom hung up. With only one exception Sears refused to return phone calls or to even talk on the phone. Six different people wrote without responding to specific questions and using fake names and no titles or responsibilities. Sears did not even respond to my offer to submit this dispute to mediation. They did offer a minimal discount should I decide to spend even more money for additional repairs. I will never do business with Sears again !! (I had the AC repaired by a local and responsive company for about 20% of the Sears price!!) Avoid Sears. Sincerely Alan

Technician came out and confirmed glass was shattered but could not authorize range replacement. He gave me number of Sears customer solutions, 877.878.3687, I figured one more call couldn't hurt so I called, got Beth, she listened to my problem and they are delivering new range this week.

I would suggest any problems, call this number first, I wasted 2 days on customer service. Thanks.

No resolution at store so I called customer service regarding shattered glass on 2 month old gas range. After several calls and being on hold for 20 minutes at 11 am, they called back 10:30 pm, woke me up to read their policy from script. No resolution and could not understand because call came from India. Absolutely worst customer service ever. They are sending technician to determine problem, guess they don't believe glass really shattered after giving photos to sales manager at store. Instead of saying "sorry for your problem", they are questioning my request for replacement range. Never again sears, you've definitely lost this customer.

Worst ever experience!! Sears customer service is probably trained to delay and frustrate customers so that they give up. Company ought to be put out of business. Management is useless since they tolerate or worse cultivate business behavior that is insulting.

I had a service call with sears from 8:am to 1:00 pm . It is 5:15 no call and I have called them 16 times and lied to every time. No phone call or anything. I have bought so many appliances from the but not again. Customers should be your number one focus. I see why so many stores have closed.

Sears in Menasha, Wisconsin - Rewards Points Problems

Once I bought a house I started spending a ton of money at Sears, mainly because of their Shop Your Way Rewards Points program. Over the past 18 months there has been countless issues with Sears not loading the correct amount of points to my account after a purchase. I've started having to take a print screen of the checkout page showing the rewards points that should be earned. Even that won't help you in getting sears to add the correct points. They claim that the point total listed is only an estimate and they can change the total to almost anything they want. Most recently I made a purchase of a couple items from their Deal Heist page with high value points back. I should have received $60 in points. I actually received about $10. Last time this happened I was ripped off of about $80 in points and stopped shopping at Sears. With Black Friday deals I started shopping at Sears again. Looks like that was a poor decision and I'll be shopping elsewhere again. Use this as a warning and make sure and watch your rewards points total closely to see if they are ripping you off.
