Sears review in Wilmington, Delaware: Charged a restocking for a refrigerator that did not work

We purchased a Sears refrigerator and discovered within a few days that the freezer section formed frost (it was suppose to be frost free) and it leaked cold air. We asked to get it fixed. A technician did come out and showed me on his laptop that the leaky freezer was a common problem with this freezer. He did the recommended fix. It did not work and the freezer section continued to accumulate frost and it leaked cold air. We asked to return the refrigerator and get our money back. What an ordeal! They stated that it was past the 30 day warranty. We pointed out that we complained about the issue before the 30 days and it was their slow service response. Eventually the did agree to give us out money back. They even sent us a confirmation email that showed the correct amount of money to be returned to us. After a week, a credit did show up on our account but it was $99.75 less than the amount that had been confirmed in the email There was no explanation. After more phone calls, (I have all the calls documented) we finally got an explanation that it was a restocking fee -- so Sears restocked a defective refrigerator!!! That is unethical and should be against the law. We complained to our credit card company (Sears credit card!) and after more phone calls (again documented) they eventually agreed that there was a restocking fee (for a defective refrigerator).

Thanks for the heads up... Don't need the drama with Sears.

I'll be looking elsewhere for my next refrigerator.

With such a despicable customer service department .

It won't be long before Sears ends up being nothing more than a footnote in retail history. Just like Montgomery Wards!!!

They never responded to my complaint and kept the gift card. yesterday someone from regal Park Sears contacted me and was supposed to get back in touch with me this morning and never did. they stole my gift card never sent me the product and when they do contact me they don't resolve the situation they are nothing but a bunch of liars and thieves don't buy nothing from them and definitely do not write them a letter or send them a gift card with money in it because they will keep it for themselves

First off, the review was against Sears Holding corporate office chief exclusive officer. I sent them a complaint against that Queens New York store along with a gift card with $400 they never sent me the item and they kept my $450 gift card they are nothing but a bunch of thieves and liars my situation has not been resolved

Sears review: Returned a Microwave oven still waiting on refund

Returned a microwave oven it has been over a week purchased it online and returned to a store. Says wait for email for refund, I had received an email a week ago about the refund and now have to wait 14 days for the refund. Don't buy anything at sears.com. The service stinks and no phone number to call only chat and they hang up while you are talking!!! Not going to buy anything from them again!!! No customer service just able to take the money and merchandise and receive nothing!!!

purchased gas stove from lake Charles, la outlet store. Was told that the only day that they delivered was Monday. Called the store 3 times late in the afternoon to see what the hold up was, was told by the person answering phone that they would call 1/2 hour before delivery. At 10 that evening went to bed. Called sears the next morning and was told by customer service that they could not pull up our receipt and would have to call the store. After being passed to several other departments, with the same story, finally got a girl, Fahra, to say that she could not do anything other then to lodge a complaint, what are the chances of that going any where? Finally got a gentleman to call the store directly and talk to store manager, oh wait, not really the store manager, she was a sales manager, Billy, really. These people can say anything they want on the phone. Store manager finally got on the phone, and was really annoyed that we were even having the conversation. Delivery guy called, Tuesday morning, altho they don't deliver on Tuesday, and said the stove was on his truck and he would be there before noon. Told him that we had waited till 10 the night before and now had things we had to do. He said he was on a schedule and had to do it in order, I can appreciate that, but what about our schedule? Anyway turns out that the stove was NOT on the truck for Monday, the sales manager when she came in at 2, knew this, but never mad a phone call to us, to apologize for the screw up, store manager was in Lafayette and said her store runs very well when she is there, but evidently no on can think for themselves, when she is not there, She the store manager has taken off the delivery charge, and 50 dollars for our trouble, really, trouble till 10 at nite, an hour and a half on the phone Tuesday and I am supposed to be happy with them.. Oh by the way Arizona is the one who does the routing for the Louisiana store. There is so much more to this story, one customer service guy told me that the delivery guys had the keys to the store, to put the stove back in storage, It went on and on, Does SEARS care about any of this, I think not!

This is what I sent to Sears:I stopped by store #1027 needing to buy some batteries for my drill. On the shelf there were 3 boxes for a 2-pack Compact 19.2 Battery clearly marked for $39.99 (I have a picture and I can send to you, I have attached picture by now they had removed rest of the items). I proceeded to register and it ran up quite higher. I attempted to discuss with cashier as to the discrepancy. We both walked to the aisle and he confirmed that they were stocked and marked incorrectly. I asked that they honor the price and he declined. He then called the manager (Carlos) and they both stated that the best they could do was a 10% discount. They immediately moved and corrected the mismarked item. I hope that you can assist me somehow and remedy this issue as I am still in need of these items. We make many purchases at your store and want to continue to be one of your patrons. Instead of arguing with your employees ,I chose to use this method to communicate with your team. Thank You for your time.

Sears review in Mchenry, Illinois: Worse mattress ever

Purchase a mattress from Sears September of this year tried it out for around 45 days the noisiest spongiest mattress I've ever slept on. Tried to get a hold of sears told me there was a 30 day guarantee with this mattress so I was passed by 15 days. Called them up basically they told me I'm out of luck The warranty exchange program is over after 30 days my thing is now I know why Sears is running into all the problems that they have right now very *** poor management. They sell garbage they don't stand behind the merchandise like they did years ago. Remember from my parents God bless their souls Sears satisfaction guaranteed or your money back I Guess that is something from the past and the last time I will buy anything from Sears which I see them going out of business in the next two years anyhow leemanges53@gmail.com

Sears review in Pine Bush, New York: Cancel pool table because no legs

To whom ever is willing to solve this problem for me. I purchased a pool table on line November 22, I found out the next day it came with no legs. So I never went to pick up I cancel the order on November 23, as by phone , so I thought every other day I call 1800-349-4356 or 877-927-7957 or 1800-479-5899. No one has been able to cancel or give me my refund of $456.15 this has been a nightmare for me. This was suppose to be a anniversary present for my husband now my anniversary is a week away and I still havnt receive my refund. Now I called the customer solution they try calling the Hyde park store no one picks up. That where the pool table with no legs is at.

Sears - Repair Review from Washington, District Of Columbia

I have an 11 month old gas stove i bought from sears. On thanksgiving one of the burners would not turn off. I called sears and was told no one could help until the next day. I called first thing in the morning and was told the first time someone could come was on dec. 7. We had to push the stove out from the wall and turn the gas off so as mot to have a fire. The repairman came and said he had to order the part snd they eould fix it on the 18th of december. Outrageous. I will never buy another appliance from sears.
