Details
Ordered online. Wanted to add a frame. Customer service would not order it and add onto the order even though had only been an hour since placing the order. Delivery said would set up and take old mattress. Would not and was extremely rude to my 80 year old Mom who was accepting delivery by herself. And Mom said matters quality was the pits after spending $800. I am so disappointed and feel so taken advantage of. Never ever will buy Sears again for anything!!!

Sears Sucks

Ordered a dryer with an expected delivery of 3 days Ten days have passed. I still do not have the dryer. The only person able to give me a straight answer was the third party delivery service. Who informed me that they received the request for delivery today (the 10th day) and will deliver tomorrow. The store manager blamed the delivery service. Just a bunch of no my faults. Sears Customer service was no help at all. They offered me a 10% discount which doesn't ever cover the cost of the delivery charges. I have never been this upset about any purchase. I will never ever buy from Sears, the company my parents and grandparents trusted. How sad. I sure hope the CEO reads these and makes changes.

Sears in Brooklyn, New York - Merchandise return

In 11/2014 my sister was in the process of buy Christmas gifts from various vendors. She purchased 2 Intuition Plus shaving units @ $38.81 each plus tax and shipping. She entered the hospital in 12/2014 and continued to decline in health until passing away in 8/2015. She never had a chance to distribute these gifts as she was hoping to return home to do this herself. In handling her affairs and clearing out her apartment I came across these undelivered gifts. I am attempting to pick up the loose ends and return this merchandise where possible. The Sears invoice shows these items sold by Cheapees. The Sears store in White Plains, NY tells me this item is not in their system and therefore cannot be accepted for return. They suggested I contact Cheapees. The total cost was $92.78. I would appreciate your help with this problem.

Yeah, just sell this stuff on Ebay or to some friends or something. Unfortunately, your Mom bought the stuff almost a year ago...

there is not a retailer in the WORLD that will take stuff back purchased that long ago. Seriously, just give up on that...

it's only $92, not thousands. It sucks that she passed away, but I'm sure that you have more issues than the $92 to worry about if you are handling her post-life affairs.

Sears in Hamilton, Ontario - Customer Service - Damaged Parcel

My wife and I ordered a baby crib. The crib came in a week but was damaged, that is fine it happens. To get a replacement crib will take another two months minimum. First and last item we will buy from sears. The cribs are located at the Vaughan warehouse apparently, we live in the Hamilton area about 40 minutes away. I could walk there and back with the new crib in a couple days. The customer service people on the phone could care less, they kept passing you around to different departments....but at lease one of the customer reps returned my phone call. I would recommend shopping elswhere

Sears - Refrigerator Review from Milwaukee, Wisconsin

I recently purchased a refrigerator and stove from your outlet store in Wauwatosa, WI. This has become and continues to be one of the worst decisions I have ever made. First the third party delivery service that this location uses is incompetent and lazy. Twice they came out to deliver and without measuring refused to attempt delivery because if claims the refrigerator would not fit. Next, after paying with my bank debit card, which only took Sears two seconds to deduct money from, I was told the only means of refund was a check being mailed to me that could take up to two weeks. The unhelpfully management team had no means of remedy, no suggestions for resolve, and zero customer service skills. I trusted Sears because my father worked for the company for years and always bragged about there customer service. Obviously this is not the case any longer and a factor for the company's recent decline. I will never spend another penny with Sears or any if there subsidiaries. As manager of a local property management company, I have also talked to our owners about ending our usage of sears for appliance purchases for our over 400 properties in Milwaukee. I am totally disappointed and hope to one day see my 1600+ refund.

Your mistake---other than buying anything from Sears---was in using a debit card. Using something that allows a third party to immediately take money from your bank account is a big mistake. Which, I hope you will correct in the future.

Bought a $1,099 refrigerator that was suppose to come with ice maker. They delivered wrong one, waited a week for a replacement and today they come with another refrigerator and this one does not have ice maker either!! Talked to 3 different reps who can't even find the specs on their own website, I had to "walk them through it". Supervisor promised me the right fridge even though I explained to her she was re-ordering the same model that was wrong. Two hours on phone the other day and this is my result. On the phone with Corp now for last 1/2 hr on hold, delivery man called them and they said they would call me within the hour, that was 2 hrs ago! NEVER AGAIN, SHOULD OF WENT TO LOWES OR HOME DEPOT!! And now they want to send me a THIRD refrigerator, no thanks, already lost 2 days of work and I'm sure it will still be the wrong fridge with no ice maker still!

Sears in Rochester, New York - Do not honor warranty

Purchased a new Craftsman push mower on 4/25/15, for $391... so I spent a bit on what what supposed to be a good mower. On 9/25/15 the engine failed. I sent it in for warranty service and was told that the repair is not covered and would cost $85 for a new engine as the oil in the engine was dirty. I asked how often is the oil supposed to be changed. I was told once a season or every 25 hours of use. I have not owned the mower for a full season, and the mower had less than 25 hours of use on it. Spoke to a couple supervisors.... did not help, they refuse to honor the manufactures warranty.

Sears in Charlotte, North Carolina - Issues with Exchange of Appliances and Delivery

Mid of last month we have ordered appliances for our new home and planned the whole housewarming thing. Initially the sales consultant promised that they will deliver it as soon as possible and later mentioned that they will deliver it 10 days later ( no problem for us). Once the order is placed, I started getting calls regarding rescheduling my delivery dates as there is no inventory. After several follow-ups we have got the appliances almost 15 days later. They did not fit in our house and called in for an exchange (have give the new item numbers). The customer service mentioned that I will get a call in another 24 - 48 hrs. Every time, I call them they say that the previous representative did not enter the info in the system and they have to do it again. Have called them after 4 days and told that if someone did not contact me by the 5th day, I am going to cancel the order. They are like least bothered. 5th day, I have called them and again, my exchange details or any other details that we discussed earlier were not there in the system. I was completely stressed and asked them to cancel all my orders. They did not even try to convince me , they were like Ok we will cancel. They have scheduled the pickup date after a week. Such a pathetic service and took a oath never to shop in Sears. I went to another store and it got delivered the very next day. Never ever, buy appliances in Sears, they are not capable.

Sears in Studio City, California - Worst Customer Service Ever!

I originally ordered a Sportcraft billiard table online at Sears.com to set it up at my home. It was challenging from the beginning to find a model that liked and was available in stock and for delivery. When I scheduled the item for delivery, I received a day before an automated call confirming the window time for delivery. I was waiting for it the following day but instead got a phone call from a representative asking to reschedule it because the driver had pulled out from the delivery area! I went ahead and rescheduled it two days after. Same thing, I got a phone call the day before confirming the window time, and again, half an hour before, I got a phone call from a representative, but this time, I was told the item was discontinued from the manufacturer but I could find a replacement item, and got transferred to another Department. Needless to say that the customer service is located in Asia with poor English and a terrible phone connection. The call dropped while processing the replacement order. I called back, wiggled through the options to get someone, and was told that my item was still available now and I had to reschedule a delivery, since my replacement item was now cheaper and I was asking for a credit! I spent nearly two hours that day, asking for a supervisor to call me back and no one seemed to know what the status was nor what to do. After a final call and some apologies, the item was rescheduled for delivery on a Sunday morning. Same thing here with the automated confirmation the night before, and the phone call 30 minutes prior to the window delivery time. This time the excuse was that the item had been damaged at the manufactory and needed to be rescheduled for delivery! I canceled the order and requested full refund. This is the worst customer service I have received from a big brand like Sears, although, I have been receiving large appliances, sectional couch and other furniture at my home from other big names, and all went well. What was the name again of this company that was the very first one in the US to process orders via catalog? OH, That's right! It was SEARS!!!
