This is a joke!!!!!! Sears represents their app.repair as top notch meanwhile it's not even on the pole!!! Service scheduled three times in a month time and they cancelled three times. This was on a broken belt on our dryer and in time we waited one month???? So meanwhile I get sick of hearing rude people and called August Sears appliance manager he tells me because I live in a ruel area I get inferior service????????? I ended up fixing it myself,THIS IS SUCH A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!!!!

Long story short Ordered a fridge for my tenant as hers had stopped working and was promised a delivery date 5 days out. The night before received a call that it would be an additional 7 days, unacceptable given the old one was not working...when I called Sears totally insulted me on two occassions trying to "buy me off" by offering coupons and gift certificates off future purchases...the tenant did not have a working fridge, why on earth did they think I would accept coupons and leave her without a fridge??? Arrogance! I stopped in the local Sears store and the sales associate was very helpful, we cancelled that order and placed a new one with him and it was delivered in 2 days rather than 7!!! here we are 3 months later and still no credit given back on the credit card for the original purchase...3 MONTHS! There are many retailers out there, stay away from this unreputable company..its obvious Sears could care less about their customer and the overall Sears experience

Sears in Petaluma, California - Delivery?

I would like to share a story about attempting to purchase a mattress at Sears. I grew up with Sears and have always trusted the brand, having previously purchased a refrigerator and a washer/dryer set from Sears. After this experience I am not so sure I can still trust this company. I visited the Sears store in Santa Rosa, CA on Sep 12th looking for a new mattress. I found one that my wife and I liked and proceeded with the purchase. It was an expensive high end mattress. Prior to leaving the store I arranged for delivery on Sep 21st. On Sep 18th I received an email from Sears telling me that the mattress would be delivered in 3 days. On the evening of Sep 20th I received a call from Sears telling me that the mattress would be delivered the next day between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. No delivery occurred on the 21st. At about 8:00 p.m. on the 21st I called Sears delivery team. They advised me that the delivery had been rescheduled earlier that day and the mattress would now be delivered on the 27th. At no point did I receive any proactive contact from Sears advising me that the delivery had been rescheduled. It was not until I phoned Sears to ask about the missing delivery that I learned that Sears had rescheduled the delivery. It is now the evening of the 27th. I received an email on the 24th advising me that I would be receiving my delivery in 3 days. Last night I received a phone call advising me that the delivery would occur today between 4:15 p.m. And 6:15 p.m. At about 6:45 this evening when nothing had been delivered I called Sears again. I spoke with someone who advised me that the mattress was scheduled for delivery this evening. I checked the order status online and it listed a delivery time of 10:30 this evening. As I checked back online intermittently, the delivery time kept getting later until it stabilized at 11:00 p.m. I checked online again at about 10:10 p.m. and noted that order status was now marked as delivered. NOTHING HAS BEEN DELIVERED. I have been patiently waiting for delivery of this mattress and Sears has not delivered it nor have they contacted me in regard to this item. I tried contacting the Sears delivery 877 number and received a recording that the office was closed due to 'unforeseen circumstances'. I tried reaching Sears through the web site click to call functionality and received the same message. I finally contacted someone in support at Sears via their online chat function and they were unable to assist me as they only provide support for online purchases. They were able to confirm that the system shows that the mattress had not been delivered. I will be going to the Sears store where I attempted to purchase the mattress tomorrow. In all likelihood I will be cancelling the sale. I have to say that the sales staff in the store were professional and courteous as were the support people I have dealt with. It appears that Sears is incapable of living up to their end of the bargain by twice failing to fulfill their deliver commitment. I am becoming quite disenchanted with Sears subsequent to this experience.

I set an online appointment with Sears one week earlier to change the engine oil and filter for my vehicle. I have been told the vehicle will be ready within half an hour after receiving the oil filter. The counter lady came to me after thirty minutes of waiting to tell me that she received the filter and they will start the job soon. I wait for another an hour and half to discover that my vehicle is still in the parking lot and no one touched it. I took back the keys of my car thanking her for the "worst Service" I ever had. Conclusion: Respect your customer by respecting his time.

Sears - Protection Plan Review from Rayville, Missouri

SEARS home appliance protection plan is a JOKE!!! Do NOT waste your time nor MONEY!! It has taken over 2 MONTHS to get then to fix my dryer and washer. When the tech finally came yesterday, while fixing my washer he broke a switch now I can't use it at all. He said "sorry" and they said they would call to schedule to come fix it. They did for almost 4 weeks out!! This totally UNEXCEPTABLE!!! I WILL NEVER BUY ANY SEARS PRODUCT AGAIN!!!

Sears in East Hampton, New York - Shop Vac

Purchased a Sears Vac in Oct of 2014, removed it out of box in spring of 2015 as I was away for the winter. Used it less than 3 hours it stopped working so I called Sears to honor their one year warranty. Made two separate calls each lasting more than one and one half hours, spoke to more than a dozen people and departments, got nowhere except more and more frustrated. Was finally disconnected after almost two hours on second call, life is too short to suffer through this kind of service. I'll take the loss but will never buy anything from Sears again.

Bye, bye Sears! You stink!

If could give Sears minus stars would. We purchased a top of the line washing machine on-line from Sears including the 5-year warranty. They were scheduled to deliver on a Sunday between 5:30 p.m and 7:30 p.m.(really). At 9:30 p.m..and no delivery and no phone call, I called and after holding for 30 minutes I was told that we were #18 of #20 deliveries. Beyond that, they supposedly "couldn't" give me any other information......if they were still going to deliver that night....what time they stopped delivering.....etc. When I asked them who WOULD know, they said they didn't know that either....they didn't have that information. I waited up until midnight,, and of course, no delivery. I called fuming the next morning, and was PROMISED without fail delivery the following Friday between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m When I called Thursday night to verify the delivery date and time, I was told it had been changed to 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.(but of course we hadn't been notified of this change). Furious, I asked for a manager. After holding for 20 minutes, they disconnected me. My husband I realized if it was this difficult to get a new product delivered, we were going to have NO chance if something ever needed to be fixed. I called back again and CANCELLED my order. The associate told me that she would give me 50,000 Sears points if didn't cancel and told her that those points were USELESS since I would NEVER be purchasing from Sears again. Another bit of information....every single call was routed overseas. You are talking to people who don't even know where you hometown is, nor do they care. Bye, bye Sears! You deserve to go bankrupt. Thank goodness we didn't buy this machine. What would I do with a 5-year warranty from a company that is probably not going to be around much longer. As a happy after note, I researched "Best Appliance Store" companies, and found ABT. Wow! They have blown my socks off with their customer service. They are family owned, and CARE about their customer. You talk to a real person in THIS country. No wonder Consumer Reports has ranked them #1 six years in a row, and Sears LAST. .So, so happy.

THE STORE SERVICE IS ROTTEN THEY LIE TO THE CUSTOMER , THE HOME DELIVERY SERVICE SUCKS THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SEARS THIS SHOULD BE SPELLED SUCKS INSTEAD OF SEARS BUT I FOUND OUT THAT EITHER ONE FITS THE BILL SEARS SUCKS THE PERSONAL AT SEARS SUCKS, WELL THEY HAVE SUCKED THE LAST DOLLAR THAT THEY WILL EVER GET A CHANCE TO *** OUT OF I WILL DIE AND GO TO *** BEFORE I EVER DO BUSINESS WITH SEARS ...... I was on line ordering a dryer working with their chat room. I was given confirmation about the dimensions and placed the order. I then went on line to the manufacturer and found the chat person was wrong. I went onto the chat room again and was told they could not help me. I needed to call some other dept. I explained it had been less than 10 min since I ordered and they said it did not matter. I spent the next 5 hours trying to get the order canceled and they refused to send me an email confirmation. The sale confirmation was within seconds. They refused to refund my credit card for 7 business days. I explained that I did not receive the goods and the order was placed and cancelled in the same 15 minutes. They blamed the bank, the credit card company stating they could NOT refund my card because of these financial entities. I spoke with numerous call centers and they said to go to corp. They however did not have ph#. When I goggled the phone # for Sears corp was another call center. I then saw Ed Lampert listed in the long list of consumer complaints against Sears. I asked for him and was told he does not address consumer complaints. Sears believes they can take money without providing the goods or service. They think they are above the law and that when I gave them permission to charge my account for the dryer it was their money. I said but I did not and will not get the dryer and they said we keep the money and collect the interest for 7 days and there is nothing you can do about it.

Order costume through sears.com size was unclear and CSR thought they verified it was in fact a toddler size (asked them to triple check and they were extremely courteous). Order came wrong size, no return information, no webpage information for seller - nothing in email or in package. Finally had to have sears get involved in requesting return after 6 follow-up emails asking for a return auth # from 7th ave and now they want to charge 20% restocking fee and not pay for return shipping. The restocking fee criteria on their own webpage was not met on any of the 3 levels posted (bout before October, not a multiple and not over. Horrible CSR - don't bother with them (Costume cheap looking to boot).
