Sears Service Rip off

Call SEARS REPAIR for front loader washer smell and has mold growing in it. Sears sent a repair person. Charged $120.00 to add a washing machine cleaning tablet. It still smell and has mold what a rip off $120.00 for one single washing machine tablet. I guess sear does not value me as a consumer that they felt this service price was correct. I request for mold removal and got an expense tablet instead. never again. watch out for shady sear repairman. Call Sears complaint dept they did not care made three phone call they make a ceas number and tell you someone will call you back. call the third time talk to Vincent asked to speak to someone above him he refused to let me talk to anyone. What a joke for customer service. Sears in Delaware, Ohio - Kenmore Refrigerator

Had 1st delivered 9/15/15. Delivery guys came in an took old one out in the yard. They then unloaded new one from truck and unwrapped it. New one had three dents in the refrigerator side door. They said I should accept it and they would bring a new one. We refused. They called their rep who offered us $150, $250, and $350 sears gift cards to accept as is. We refused. She spoke very broken english and was hard to understand. She then says new one will be delivered Sat 9/19/15. I told her I would need to get back to her and she hung up on me. They put frig back on truck and left. We went to leave a little later and there was styrofoam, latex gloves, paper and a large bolt left in our driveway. We were able to accept delivery 9/19 and Frig was delivered. This time they unloaded first and we inspected exterior which didn't show any problems. One of the delivery crew asked to see where frig would go and we showed him it was replacing our current frig and old frig was to go to basement. It immediately said we are not taking it to basement even though we were told by salesman it would be. I then told him to put the new back on the truck and we would go elsewhere for a frig. They then agreed to move it. After it was hooked up and they left my wife and I took all shelves and drawers out of frig side to clean. We noticed that the deli bin had 4 scratches on the front and there was several yellowed lines on the interior cabinet. I called the store and was told the salesman and manager were both on vacation for a week and to call customer service. Again we have to speak to someone you can't understand and we feel doesn't care. One salesman at the store said we could get a 10% discount on frig but we had to go to store after second one was delivered. We doubt that will happen based on our experience with Sears to this point. He also told us to contact the delivery people and see if they could compensate us for the inconvenience. They told us us we would get a $80 sears gift card within 48 hrs by email. After a week later and probably 6 phone calls we have not received the gift card and were told several different reasons why not. Called the store again and both salesman and Mgr were still on vacation. Was told a person named Russ would be the one to offer options related to the second damaged frig. Have left a message for him twice with a coworker and he has not returned call after 2 days. Everyone we have dealt with refers you to someone else. They all want you to believe they care. We will be returning this piece of junk as soon as we get new one from different vendor. By junk I mean the yellowing, scratches, loud humming, and pitiful ice maker. Moral of story, drive as fast as you can by Sears if you are looking for appliances. On second thought if you need anything. There is a reason why Sears is close to going under and we just experienced it.

Sears in Memphis, Tennessee - Product Damaged - Credit not Received

The whole process has been time consuming. For the actual bed I wouldn't know if it's good or not. After I waited two weeks to receive the bed, at delivery it was completely damaged/destroyed, I refused at delivery. To top it off it's been another two weeks and they tell me I need to wait for the delivery people/company to get it back to Sears before I get my order of $500. + refunded. I ordered the Bed on 8/11/15 it's now 9/9/15 - no bed and no refund. Not happy. It's now 9/22/15 still no refund, still very unhappy with Sears.

Sears in Houston, Texas - Purchase applicances elsewhere or do without!!

I purchased a wall oven from Sears. The installer said the existing space was not tall enough. I had a handyman here who immediately began to make the adjustment. The installer said he had other installations in the area and would return to install the oven before leaving the area. He left the oven in my driveway. I placed 2 calls to him which he did not answer before calling Sears delivery. Sears called the installer's supervisor - no answer; then the installer - no answer. While Sears is relating this to me the installer calls me to say he is on the other side of town. They want to offer me next day installation. Not possible. I talk to 3 different Sears reps. They offer me gift cards of $50.00 - $300.00 but never a satisfactory installation date. I tell Sears to pick up the oven and refund my monies. Pick up scheduled for Tuesday between 4 - 6pm. Surprise! No one picks up the oven on Tuesday. I talk to 2 CSAs on Tuesday. The final was another manager who again promised to escalate to the opening manager, who would call me on Wednesday. Did not happen. I have spoken to 3 different Sears representatives today, before 11 am CST. The oven is to be picked up 9/24. We'll see. The saga continues. I will never make another purchase at Sears. The sales representative was excellent and knowledgeable, but if you cannot walk out of the store with the item, you are doomed to a black hole of contractors, who have no allegiance to Sears and customer service representatives who have no skin in the game. I'd prefer to dig *** in the ground to bake than be subjected to this level of ineptitude.

WARNING: SEARS HAS NO BUSINESS INTEGRITY

Be very careful when shopping at Sears. They have no limit to how low they will go in an attempt to cheat their customers. My experience began with the purchase of appliances that QUALIFIED for Zero Interest if we used our Sears Credit Card. Even though we paid off the purchases in the allotted time, Sears underhandedly charged interest AND to make matters worse, has sold that fraudulent "amount" to a collection agency AFTER acknowledging - IN WRITING - the interest they charged is not valid! Essentially Sears created, out of thin air, a "balance due", admitted that balance due isn't valid and continued to attempt collection of it. Rather than correct their errors, Sears chose to sell the invalid "amount" to a collection agency. Sears made the decision to avoid ownership of their mistakes and treat their long-time customers with disrespect and harassment. Sears continues to put the emphasis of their business on swindling honest customers and displaying their lack of value for hard-working people.

Yeah, they do all kinds of trick one of the ones I caught them at was taking a unbranded winter boot and calling it one name and selling for say a regular price of $100 and a discount of 25% then changing the name slightly and the item number and changing the regular price to $85 and a discount of 25% so at not to look like they are trying to blow them out. I took screen shots showing that when you searched for the old item number after it was changed it shows the new one as they did not change the storage location of the images etc.

Its false advertising to claim a regular selling price that the item never sold for.

They did it twice on one item. Sears is mortally wounded don't get stuck with anything that is not directly backed by the manufacturer.

NEVER buy anything at Sears. I bought a Kenmore refrigerator 2 years ago. Compressor went out and it smelled like my kitchen was on fire. After 15 calls and a call to the store manager at Mid Rivers Mall, he refused to do anything about it. I am stuck with a lemon frig!

Sears in Richardson, Texas - Freezer repair under warranty

I have been waiting on my freezer to be repaired for over a month. I have lost both food and time off from work waiting for a repairman....which have cancelled twice. Totally unprofessional and unacceptable by a company that prides itself on good service...it has been anything but. You call and call and the next available date is 3 to 4 weeks. Sears does not have the decency to proactively place your work order at the top of the list knowing that they are at fault for NOT fulfilling their commitments. It has been a terrible experience and I will be taking my business elsewhere.
