Sears in Los Angeles, California - Kenmore gas water heater.... Junk!

Kenmore 50gal gas water heater made 'loud' humming noises a month after installation. After spending hours researching it (not a warranty issue according to Sears) turns out it is caused by vibration on an internal shield. Sears is aware of the issue because I stumbled across a service bulletin that describes the repair for it. Then 1 1/2 years later the t/p valve fails... Sears wants to charge a service call to determine if its a warranty issue. I bought it because it claimed to have a 12 year warranty! Pressure valve shouldn't fail after 1 1/2 years! Spent 45 minutes on the phone with three totally rude Sears representatives. I will never buy another thing from Sears!

Sears in East Peoria, Illinois - Gas range

I bought a Kenmore gas range on Labor Day and was to be delivered on Wed. which it was, but took back because I didn't have a gas shut off. I got a plumber to install the shut off and called Sears delivery to re-deliver which they would do on Friday. They came and said you have copper tubing we cannot hook up until you have a black line, so back went the gas range again. In going back to the first delivery I was told that some of Sears delivery and hook up people were qualified and licensed to work with a copper line so I assumed (you know what that stands for) they would make note of the copper line but no one did. So-o- today for the third time they are to deliver and hook up my gas range..We will see what happens. If it is not I AM CANCELLING MY ENTIRE ORDER!!!!

I spent 62 years in miami, fl. Believing sears was a fine American company that serves with respect and efficiency, too bad its not true any more. I just spent thirty minutes trying to speak to a service and repair representative at store number 1365,cutler bay, miami, fl., by phone, what ah joke. The joke is now on sears, i will not do any more business with this company. I have nothing but contempt, between the charges for diagnosis of the pressure cleaner purchased there, to the place out of town used, to misinformed representative who called two weeks later stating that this was the second time I'd brought it in, to the charges they wanted for repair, to the inability to speak to a person at the place i dropped it off at and the amount of time it took to get it back( which i still don't when). I'm done with this company and will try to dissuade anyone i ever speak to from going to sears.

In March 2015 our kitchenaid refrigerator failed - after several repair attempts in early April we were instructed to pick out a replacement model from local Sears store and the Kitchenaid was replaced by a Kenmore Elite model. When the new fridge was installed I noticed a dent in the front. They were going to replace it with another one but instead just replaced the dented door. On Monday 9/14 around 9am I noticed front ice/water was not working Nd an error code was on control panel. I called tech support and a very nice man walked me thru resetting it from my elec box as the plug is inaccessible as I can't pull unit out alone. The panel and door lights came back on. Around 4pm that afternoon I returned home and the fridge was over 60 degrees. I got on the phone immediate and started throwing food away. We were told a new control panel would be ordered, I gave them our model number. They scheduled a Saturday due to all of the loss work time earlier in the year with repair issues. The part arrived Wednesday. On Saturday tech # 0913301 came to our house. He started to remove fridge from wall space and I asked what he was doing - told him doors need to come off if he was trying to remove it from that area. He said it just needed reset. I told him that had been done prior to scheduling repair in home. He said the right part is not here, they are famous for that, I will order it and come back Monday. I told him I cannot take any more time off and I wanted to make a call to lemon dept before he left. He told me that wasnt going to change anything and started to leave. He had been here all of 5-8 minutes. I got upset at that point ( and yes used a curse word ) in getting my point across that I wanted him here when I got warranty dept on the line to tell them, it would require another visit. Last time at this point tech recommend new unit so that's why I wanted him to wait. He started packing his stuff and going for the door - I stood in front of the door and demanded a receipt for him being here as I have major food loss to recouperate. He threatened to call the police if I didn't move from the door. I again demanded a receipt - he finally complied and left. This is insult to injury. First two broken units in six months, multiple service issues and a replacement over last 18 months and he doesn't have 3 minutes for me to get a warranty person on the line? Obviously if the wrong part was ordered there are communication issues in getting things done right and quickly. The warranty person finally got to hear me explain that they can send another control panel but the unit was making loud racket from freezer/back area - so it may be more than the control panel. A lot of assumptions with no real diagnosis going on. The expectation that a family can go 1 week - and now add two more for Sat service without a fridge is upsurd. I got clearance for a rental and had to pay out of picket $269.49 for deposit and rental fee. That and waiting up to 21 days for refund of lost food is an issue in itself. There is no reason for us not to be getting delivery if a new unit at this time. Two downed units I. Less than six months, poor repair service, advancement of our money to have refrigeration, costs of eating out because we can't store regular amounts of food or but I quantity for better rates all needs to be taken in consideration here.

Do Not Buy Sears Warranty

We bought a $2000 refrigerator from Sears two Sears ago. 12 days ago, it went out. We have their top shelf 3 year warranty and called right away. They sent out parts that the repair tech said were the wrong ones. The tech tried to order the right parts, but couldn't because Whirlpool requires diagnostic proof that the refrigerator is broken. So the guy injected some dye into the system and said he had to wait two weeks to come back and see if the test showed the refrigerator was broken. I have tried since to get a replacement, but Sears says no and there is no time limit for them to repair the refrigerator. One guy on the phone said he could give me a $50 gift card for my troubles. Only the distance between me and him kept him from a beating. So don't spend $380 like I did on a warranty. They suck.....and my refrigerator probably won't be fixed for at least another month. If nothing by next week, my next stop is corporate Sears.

My garage door started beeping, I called Sears because I have a warranty. I told them the problem and was told what I needed. Appointment was made but was not kept. The day of the service call is when I was told the appointment had been cancelled. I think that was unprofessional. I should have been told that Sears did not cover that part of the warranty, not sitting around waiting for a service man to show up. Very disappointed in the quality of this service. Now I have to stand on a ladder and take care of the problem myself.

I have the warranty protection!!! I think that this is a joke I"ve been having real problems and it seems that they rather keep putting parts and not really fixing the problem.I"ve been a customer for over 20yrs.Every time I call of the problem they keep transfer me to another dept.I can not get someone to handle the concern.Is this the way they treat customers.I even have a video of the noise coming from the machine.And every time they make a appointment they can"t come because the parts are not here yet.So i have keep giving up my time when they are the ones who keeps changing the appointment!!!.I would like sears to replace the washing machine but there is nobody that can make that decision.

Sears in Portsmouth, New Hampshire - Failed To Deliver Washer But Showed It As Delivered On Line

On the 7th of September we purchased a washing machine and delivery was scheduled for a week later. Come that day, no washing machine showed up but online it showed it as delivered. I called Sears only to get someone who spoke very little English and told me it had been delivered and included with the order was a refurbished HD TV -- which was not ordered. I again told the agent there was no delivery and magically the connection ended. When I tried to reconnect online I got 16 in Que and 320 second wait -- I did try again the next morning and got such a bad connection and again someone who barely spoke English there was just no way the conversation was going to continue. I next tried the salesman and on the receipt found the "home" 800 number and called it. They sent me on an individual who had much better English and explained that the washing machine had not been delivered to the warehouse???? So there was not going to be a delivery; but no one bother to inform me -- and she wanted to schedule one for Saturday. Well I had already given up plans for Thursday afternoon and was not going to change Saturday's to sit and wait. I went with Monday. The last person tried at least to understand my anger and acknowledged it but I am regretting making a purchase from Sears. I wonder if they would have just assumed it had been delivered ....
