HeOn Memorial Day 2015 we visited the Dear store in Columbia Maryland. Sears’s agent Mohammed ask if he could assist us today”. We shared we were looking at the Treadmills. He shared so information, told us the sale ended Sunday and we left the store to discuss our options. We purchased some hand held weights receiving multiple sears coupons. Inquired as to the balance of our “Points” only to learn the points earned from our 2011? Oven, Microwave, Dish washer and refrigerator purchase were removed. I returned to the store on Saturday May 30, 2015 to purchase the treadmill and a freezer. Mohammed first question was where was my husband? (Discrimination) Not hello how are you? I shared with him I wanted to make two purchases. One in appliances for a freezer and the treadmill at his station. Again Mohammed ask where was my husband. (Discrimination), I do not require my husband to make purchases. I stated I want to use the coupons I had received. Should I complete my purchase here or in appliances first to use the coupons I received the day before? Mohammad said I should complete the purchase of the treadmill and go to appliances to purchase the Freezer. Ask James in Appliances to “Link” the purchases (per Mohammad) to use the delivery fee and the pickup of the old freezer and treadmill as one fee. In short none of the coupons could be used. Linking the purchases was a problem. And having to provide all of my information again because your computer are antiquated and do not save data was disappointing. A simple trip to the store turned into a debacle! In frustration I cancelled all purchases as know one (not even the area managers) was aware of how to complete ours purchases, provide good customer services and how to best utilize the store coupons for the benefit of customer. I found the above referred Sears employee actions occur in all Sears stores as I went to another Sears in Wheaton Plaza, Maryland and experienced the exact same uninformed/educated sales associates, disrespect of the customer, (I had to wait for a sales associate at lunch to return with the key to turn on the treadmill) and consistent poor customer services when I attempted to purchase the same/similar items. Now I have to pay for delivery on a Saturday, delivery of two items to the same address on the same day, delivery of one item but not the other. Choice of interest free sears card purchase or free delivery only on the freezer but not the treadmill. The store should offer the same sale and coupons throughout the store so the staff understand what is offered. No staff member had a clue of the stores policy, sales practice or procedures to complete a purchase and resolve customer concerns. shared so information, told us the sale ended Sunday and we left the store to discuss our options. My polite letter to Sears Executive Customer Service Reps... Let's see if they back their consumer!! "I am writing in regards to my order - wrong item delivered, delivery 1.5 hours late and the extreme poor customer service provided. I purchased a NEW item and was delivered an extremely damaged item tonight. Your company refuses to honor the transaction with the New item I originally purchased. Please see the attached images of the item delivered to my home today. I am requesting the exact product I purchased in the exact condition I purchased it. I am also requesting a full refund for the shipping and delivery charges of my order. It was delivered 1.5 hours late and customer service was unable to locate my order, even after 2 phone calls. I have spoken with 4 customer service representatives (2 of which hung up on me and my husband) and 1 customer service manager - ID # 448118. None were willing to accept responsibility of searsoutlet.com's mistake in regards to their error in the item received. I find this unacceptable in all aspects. The consumer should receive the item they purchased, in the condition stated, in the time frame provided. The time spent on the phone with your customer service department was from 6:30pm-10:20pm with most of it being on hold and no resolution. I look forward to your correspondence in regards to this matter/dispute."

sweetie there was a reason it was at the sears outlet. It is not brand new, it is sold as is most likely for a deep discount because of the damage.

I agree with you on their customer service though they lie that they came to your house to milk you of money.

Sears eventually made it right

After receiving less than quality products from Sears.com, I wanted to return them to a Sears store, an option listed on the Sears.com website. However, I discovered that wasn't true for the items that I had purchased. I had to ship the items back to Sears via UPS which cost me an additional $28.00. After much complaining and posts on sites like Pissed Consumer, Sears offered me a credit for the shipping charges. While it did little to compensate me for the stress and frustration that I experienced, in the end I felt it was an adequate solution. But to this day, I will never purchase something on Sears.com again.

Sears - Kenmore Refrigerator Review from Fremont, California

This past weekend was Memorial Day, and we were looking for a new fridge. According to Consumer Reports, the top 4 refrigerators were LG & Kenmore, so we looked at the ad for our local (Newark, CA) Sears, and they had one of the CR recommended Kenmore models on sale from $2299 down to $1199. They were also running a commercial on TV over the weekend showing the same model on sale for $1199. We checked on line to see if they had any in stock, and we were pleased to find they showed several on hand. We loaded the family in the car and headed on over to the store. We arrived, and found there were several models on the floor. Hoping to check out the fridge in person, we didn't see the advertised model on display, and asked a salesperson if they had one available. We were told that they had a few in stock, but not one on display, and if we wanted, the salesperson would show us larger pictures of the model on the computer?! With a local, and possibly national ad displaying only 1 Kenmore fridge on sale, wouldn't it be a good idea to have that model on the floor, so people could take a look at it to help sell the product? You'd like to believe that the stores were given a heads up on what models they were putting on sale, and yet no one thought to make sure that model was on display? Since the store didn't have the model on display, we left and ended up buying a different brand (for a higher price) at Best Buy, and the salesperson knocked several hundred dollars off the sales price, as we explained how disappointed we were with our experience at Sears. I used to be an avid supporter of Sears, as all of my Craftsman tools are "Made in the USA", and 4 of my 5 major appliances were the Kenmore brand, and have lasted 25 years. But once they began sending their hand tool production overseas several years ago, and this weekend's latest gaffe of not having a widely advertised sale model on display, it's no wonder, (and a shame) this once proud company is steadily going down the drain.

SEARS OWES ME A REFUND FOR 3871.98 FOR A CRAFTSMAN MOWER !

Mower was delivered, not put together properly. Three weeks later they came with another mower, it was the same as the first one. I told them to take both mowers back and refund my money. This was on May 5,2015. Today is May 28th, Sears still has not refunded my money. I know that both mowers are in the Sears warehouse, I spoke the assistant warehouse manager. I am at a loss for what to do. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on May 21st, 2015. Sears has ten days to reply to the complaint. Then what ?

Don't waste your time with BBB. That will do nothing for you.

File a credit card chargeback now. Call your cc issuer and explain that you have no product and they have your payment.

We are dealing with the same thing. Refrigerator was picked up on 4/25, refund gift card (we had paid with a gift card) supposedly sent May 1, and as of June 3, we still have not received it.

I've called multiple times and only been given the run around. Today I was told that they would reissue the gift card and mail it again. I asked for expedited shipping and was told that they couldn't guarantee that.

I'm supposed to get an email within 48 hours, but I'm not holding my breath, as I've been told that several times and never heard back from them. We will NEVER shop at Sears again!

Sears in Chicago, Illinois - Delivery

I have been trying to get a washing machine delivered since 5/22/15 to no avail. I was FINALLY ASSURED of a deliver 5/28/15, between 8-12, I received ANOTHER call from sears saying my delivery time, is between 10-12. I immediately called sears again and after speaking with people THAT DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH and requesting SOMEONE THAT DOES SPEAK ENGLISH for 40 MINUTES, I finally gave up. The last person that I spoke to was from India and he brought RUDENESS TO NEW HEIGHTS. If my washer is not here at TWELVE, I am going to cancel this order, IMMEDIATELY. This has been nothing less than an on going ball of confusion, that has cost me a lot of time. UNNECESSARY time, not o mention the time I have spent on he computer TRYING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.

Sears Sucks in evey possible way

I wanted to buy a new washer / dryer set. At checkout they immediately charged me for the unit approx $1400, as I was finalizing the checkout procedure, this nasty little screen appeared and would not not let the sale be finalized until I picked a service plan that at a minimum was and additional $250 to $350. I didn't want the service plan, the site gave me the opition to cancel the sale. I did so ans was told I would have to contact the Customer Service dept. When I did I was told they will cancel the sale but it will take 3-5 business days to get a refund. At this point I hadn't actually checked out, or so I thought. While I was on hold I pulled up my account and sure enough the charge had already been made. I requested to charge be cancelled and the money returned to my account, I was told this is not possible at this time. Requested to peak with a manager and was transferred again. At this point I spoke with a really nasty little man who sits at a desk all day with a headset on. This smug little sob said he isn't going to help with the request and it will be 3-5 days before the credit appears on my account. I was this little snot how come you can make a charge in 5 nanoseconds but it takes 3-5 days to reverse it. All this smug little B**** had to say was call your bank. I will NEVER buy anything from Sears as long as I live. I will go 50 miles out of my way and pay twice as much at a mom and pop business before ever dealing with Sears again.

Sears in Brookfield, Connecticut - LAWN MOWER SERVICE

In April I took my mover in to my local Sears for warranty service. It is still at the service center. Every time I call to see when I will get my mower back it has been the same answer for the last 3 weeks "YOUR MOWER WILL BE BACK AT THE STORE NEXT TUESDAY" guess what my mower was not back at the store, so I called the Service Department again today. The same lie came again " IT WILL BE AT THE STORE NEXT TUESDAY". I could have had it serviced locally in 2-3days. What takes Sears 7 weeks? Meanwhile for the last 3 weeks I am paying for a lawn mowing service If this is what Sears call customer service, why be a customer?
