Sears review in Greenville, North Carolina: Defective Microwave

Purchased a Kenmore microwave from Sears .com The microwave was defective. Called sears to determine how to handle the issue...they said to return it to local store ( 45 mile round trip...not going to happen)...I asked them to send me another and pick up the defective one...they refused...they sent me a RMA form to fill out...I completed the form....one of the form requirements was to cut the cord off and send it in with the form and dispose of the microwave...two weeks later I called to check on the status of my refund and they know nothing about the RMA form!...said I had to return the microwave to the store or they could send a UPS pick up ticket...(good thing I did not dispose of the microwave!)...so at this point I do not have a box to put it in for UPS...so I either head to town and buy a box or just drive the 45 miles and return to the store (they do not have one to exchange it for)...VERY poor way to conduct business...I will NEVER buy anything from sears.com again.

Sears - Couch Review from Hollywood, Florida

Went to Sears in Tyrone to look at a couch, a woman that worked there by the name of Brenda Payne was sitting on one of the displays and told my fiance not to sit on the display because she didn't want his "stink" all over it! So were supposed to buy a couch based on its looks? She replies with "no,I just don't want your stink all over it"...what a hypocritical woman, and very rude! I feel she is judgemental because we have tattoos, but we both have good paying jobs and just bought a brand new house that we needed appliances!! We will take our business elsewhere, and in fact let the world know what horrible business sears provides at Tyrone mall. I am also going to channel news 9, the newspaper, Facebook,etc! Discrimination will not be used against me or my future husband! I will not tolerate it!

Sears review in Kirkland, Washington: Trying to cancel an order online

On Jan 29, I placed a dropship order with Sears online. As I submitted it, I realized it was not what I wanted to order. I immediately tried to find how to cancel the order. It was already in processing and no cancel button available. I got on the chat line and was told they would send a stop to the warehouse and I would get an email within the hour. Three hours later, no email. I called again and got the same story--another 2 page chat. I was told it was cancelled, but I could call UPS if it got there and have them send it back to Sears. The label got to UPS but they did not have the package yet. I tried again more forcefully to get it cancelled. They said just refuse it, but I pointed out that I was not receiving it. Oh, just call the person and have them return it. I don't know the person and I do not feel they need to schlep down to UPS to return a package they did not order from me. Anytime I have received a wrong order, I am told to keep it by merchants or give it to charity. I have never been asked to return it. I finally got the money back into my account and was told it was listed as lost and they did not expect it back. Leroy told me this. I have it on the chat. This morning it was in transit so I called UPS to diver it. They said only Sears could do that. I called Sears and was told it was already done. I called UPS back and they said no record of it. I called Sears back and two people said they would do it. One was a supervisor, Drake, who said she did it as well. Now tonight I get an email from Maria, the person who transferred me to Drake, addressed to the recipient of the package asking that he return it and his money would be refunded. I went in and Sears has changed the billing person from me to the recipient of the package. Luckily they only have the address of the recipient and not the email or phone number. I cannot believe they can be allowed to change the billing name like that. It seems against principles of decency. This whole operation has been very shady and I am thoroughly disgusted with Sears.

Terrible company. Ordered item from website which did not work, called in and had the order manually placed. Never got a confirmation but got charged twice. Have spent all morning on phone with foreign call centers and been transferred all over. What a big, big waste of my time, I still do not know if the order is processed or when I will get my money refunded. I will never order from your POS company again unless it is absolutely necessary. Please update to 21st century or close your doors. Apparently none of the internal departments are connected or able to fix the problem centrally. Must be purposely designed to insulate themselves.

..I also stated to the sales person that because we had 7 people in home I wanted a large capacity washer. I wanted at least 4.3 or higher.

He offered us the Kenmore Connect Model 41182 and said it was 4.3. After getting it home and it burning the house down I Google...

Don't Buy Appliances From Sears

Bought a Samsung oven with induction cooktop and within 3 years the induction burner quit. Sears has 0 support if you want to replace the burner yourself and there are no videos on youtube for the do it yourselfer. When you call Sears parts dept you end up in the Philippines. After much discussion and explaining, giving parts numbers and repeatedly explaining what an induction burner is the part order is made . 3 weeks later the part arrives from Calgary, 4 hours away, and I open the box to find they sent a regular burner and not the induction one. I must have told them 10 times to be sure and send induction because they didn't seem to know what that was. There is a reason Sears is going under.

Sears review in Holland, Michigan: Worst Customer Service and Worst Delivery Service Anywhere!

1. Ordered washer/dry set Jan. 3, 2014 given a delivery date a month out.-Customer service reordered it and the date moved up to a week out! 2. Evening prior to delivery received confirmation call on delivery. 3. Morning of delivery they cancelled-rescheduled for one week longer 4. Delivery team 1 1/2 hours later than the window given 5. Their instructions read to leave appliances in the garage in boxes! 6. After informing them that haul away and installation was included they brought them in. Washer was not hooked up because they said I needed new faucets. After plumber came out I was told that the washer could have been attached to the alternate faucets next to the older ones and I wouldn't have needed a plumbers call. They also did not have the time to switch the dryer door and told me to call Sears and they would send someone out! 7. Two weeks after delivery dryer timer malfunctions. Sears scheduled a pickup and delivery of a new dryer 8. Confirmation call comes in the evening of January 28th for delivery between 1:45 and 3:45. Received call the morning of the 29th saying that they were running early and would deliver around 11:30! We called back and told them no one would be home until 1:00. When we arrived home tire tracks were in the drive way and foot prints to the door. When we called delivery services we were told that the drivers report stated that it was not delivered because of weather conditions and ice on the driveway! Could it be that the drivers wanted to end their day early? When I called Sears customer service they wouldn't even listen to my story. I was transferred to delivery services and supposedly spoke with a women supervisor who couldn't care less that their contracted delivery people were lying on their reports. I will never buy anything from Sears again for any reason!

Sears Cheated Elderly

My Mother is 85 years old. She is on a fixed income of $900. per month. She contacted Sears in Longview Tx to inquire about kitchen cabinets. Sears sent a representative to her home a and convinced her to buy cabinets for $13,000. with payments of about $450. per month. She realized that she could not afford it and immediately called and tried to cancel before installation. She was told that if she cancelled she would have to pay over $4,000.00. Now she cant pay her basic bills and have to rely on her kids, all because of Sears underhanded predatory sales tactics. If there is a class action suit against Sears we would like to join it.

Sears review in Brookline, Massachusetts: Flawed ordering system

Went to order something online with a store pick up option. The website gave me the store closest to me but when I clicked on checkout suddenly started telling me that the item was no longer available there. Same thing for the second closest store. I'm using point discover cards so cannot checkout using multiple ones online. I called and the rep was unable to help me checkout using multiple cards either so I asked for the product to be ordered to the store closest to me. Apparently the main branch has no ability to do this for what reason I'm not sure. Instead I have to go to the store itself to order the product to the store. Quite a flawed system and an even bigger waste of time.
