Sears review in Highlands County, Florida: Repairman never arrived

On 02/13/2015 We scheduled a repair appointment. We were advised the tech would arrive between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. We contacted them in the afternoon and was advised he would be at the residence around 4:30 pm at 4:50 pm we contacted Sears and were advised he would be there in five minutes.I again called at 5:50 pm and was told they emailed the tech and he would call back at 6:00 pm. I then contacted the supervisor Ceaser at 6:10 pm and was advised he could not get in touch with the tech but would reschedule for the next Saturday between 8:00 am to 5:00 pm...He also advised he would file a complaint in my behalf to be investigated...I was also advised there were no phone numbers for the corporate office..... I dont believe after waiting a whole day for NO ONE to arrive WE should have to waste a whole saturday a week later for the tech to possibly come to the residence.....

On January 1st my husband purchase a fridge which was not in stock and would not be delivered until February11th 2015, needless to say we live in in New England and has some bad snow storms leading up to delivery date, On February 11th, the delivery person came and promply told us that he could not deliver the fridge because the drive way was too icy and he could not make it up the stairs, so after some talking with his deliver department we agreed that if we could get the drive way free of ice he would returned at the end of his other appointments to redeliver the fridge. He never showed or call. I contacted Sears and was transfered to the delivery call center, and thats when the worst customer service experience occur, I was informed that the driver had already return to their warehouse and would not be delivering my fridge that day. I spoke to a supervisor and was promise that the delivery team would be delivering the fridge later that day and I would be getting a phone call within half an hour, one hour after no phone call I again call the deliver center and was told the deliver was not possible that day, so they will be delivering it the following day February 12th. its now 4:07 February 12th the message i got my answering machine was that my delivery was delayed until february 13th ad i would get a phone call, really. After this experience I will never purchase anything from sears again and will be spreading the word about my experience. Still no fridge as yet.

Sears review in Littleton, Colorado: Scheduling Problems

Made an appliance appointment via Sears.com under Master Protection Agreement. Email came saying I needed to pay. Took several calls and four departments to clear it up. They said 'a third party got involved and put the charge on. Appointment was for 10-2. Then the day of the appointment, they told me the tech is coming at 1:27. Then they told me he'll be here between 1-1:30. Now, the new window is 2-2:30... which is later than the original window. This *** happens EVERY time I make a repair appointment with them! The techs always tell me that they overbook knowing that the techs cannot make most windows. They need to hire more techs and replace the head of repairs.

Sears review in Baton Rouge, Louisiana: Service charge with no service

I called Sears on Monday to request repair on a Kenmore refrigerator (small ¼” water line leak). The Sears service technician arrived on Tuesday and requested to borrow a flashlight so he could look at the problem (I would think a technician would have a flashlight). He took a cursory look at the refrigerator and then stated “I can’t fix this unit, parts are no longer available and it sounds like your compressor is also going out…that will be $95 for the service call”. He never even attempted to repair the water line leak before collecting his service fee and leaving. After my wife informed me that Sears could not repair the unit I called Calvin’s Maintenance in Baton Rouge and their repairman was at the house within one hour. It took Calvin’s Maintenance approximately 15 minutes to change 3 feet of standard water line and the repair was done (the old line was split). Calvin’s Maintenance also stated that the compressor was fully operational with no problems found. The refrigerator has been operating fine ever since. I am now disputing the charges that Sears billed me for no service rendered and I would expect a full refund. The Sears repairman that showed up was either incompetent, unwilling or not knowledgeable enough to perform a simple water line repair. Had he attempted the repair and failed I would have been ok with the service charge however he did neither and I ultimately had to pay twice for the same repair.

Not just Sears. All department store jewelry is marked up like this.

You probably shouldn't trust the appraisal either.

Jewelry is not an investment. Buy it for enjoyment only, you won't be able to sell it for anything close to what you paid.

We bought a mattress from Sears a couple of years ago , on one of their blow out sales . There was no mattresses to try at their store , and the deal seemed fabulous , so I bit . Bad move , this thing seemed new , but it like sleeping on a forty year old mattress that I found next to somebodies trash can . I get up and sleep on the couch sometines , it is so bad . And the thieving support at Sears will do nothing about it . We have purchased a different one elsewhere and have ceased shopping at RIP-OFF SEARS FOREVER ! FIRE THAT Foreign CEO THAT IS RUNNING YOUR STORE INTO THE GROUND , SEARS !

Ordered fridge, washer and dryer from Sears Outlet online. Assumed all units would be shipped from same store, but the order was split. W&D came no problem, but fridge order was placed with outlet store in Clearwater, FL. I struggled with delivery issues magnified, then when it did get delivered there were dents and scratches all over it and it failed, malfunctioned. We had it three weeks and had to send back. This situation caused us no end of stress and frustration. Got another fridge from St Petersburg store and it seems to be working fine. Have reached out to Sears Customer Service numerous times, so far nothing but we're working on it! #1Fail!

First fridge died because Sears was unable to get here in time to fix what was wrong. They traded us for another and we have a problem with it.

The delivery people did not install doors correctly and we are faced with again calling for service which will be two weeks out. I have decided not to rely on Sears for service because this is unacceptable and instead phoned the manufacturer who will be here in less than a week.

I have also written to Sears corporate office. Their customer service is useless, nil!

If you read the description of the items you look at in the Sears Outlet Store online, it tells you where the item will be shipped from, and if you're purchasing a 'like new' or 'refurbished' item, there is normally a picture or pictures of the item.

My mattress set was delivered wrong, twice. After numerous hours with many representatives I had thought everything was straightened out. I then come to find they are charging my credit card $70+ more dollars than what was agreed on in the store. One representative would claim to give me a discount for my troubles and then the next would charge me more for absolutely nothing. What I thought was a good deal wasn't and I would have rather paid more to get what I wanted when I ordered originally. I WISH TO ONLY BE CONTACTED BY A SUPERVISOR AND NOT BY ANY "CASE MANAGER"

Sears review in Greenville, North Carolina: Defective Microwave

Purchased a Kenmore microwave from Sears .com The microwave was defective. Called sears to determine how to handle the issue...they said to return it to local store ( 45 mile round trip...not going to happen)...I asked them to send me another and pick up the defective one...they refused...they sent me a RMA form to fill out...I completed the form....one of the form requirements was to cut the cord off and send it in with the form and dispose of the microwave...two weeks later I called to check on the status of my refund and they know nothing about the RMA form!...said I had to return the microwave to the store or they could send a UPS pick up ticket...(good thing I did not dispose of the microwave!)...so at this point I do not have a box to put it in for UPS...so I either head to town and buy a box or just drive the 45 miles and return to the store (they do not have one to exchange it for)...VERY poor way to conduct business...I will NEVER buy anything from sears.com again.
