Sears credit card? why bother.....

I applied for a sears credit card and six months later I still haven't received one. Two months ago,I needed a refridgerator and went to sears to purchase one. They were able to put it on my account using my teleohone number. I never received a bill on it and was called by city bank that my account was dilinquent and that a service charge had been issued as a result. After hours on the phone I managed to pay my bill with the delinquent charge removed. I no longer have a Sears credit card and will go somewhere else to shop in the future......

I applied for a sears credit card in march 2014. Bought a treadmill and was paying off each month, with no late payments, trying to build my credit. When I signed up for credit card I went paperless almost instantly. I made a habit of the first of the month to get online and pay the bill. In October , I signed up like usual and paid my bill. Well on October 30, I got online and I had a notification that my acct had been closed or number had changed. I immediately called sears. They told me I had not responded to something sent in the mail. I asked them what address they had for me and it was a mixture of a PO Box and physical address. Well, when I was applying for the card I told the lady that I needed to put my PO box down bc I do not receive mail at my physical address( small town) . She said no problem we will put both down. I got my credit card in the mail, so I figured it worked. When I talked with customer service they said the mail was returned to them so they shut my acct down. I immediately told them that I never received it and that I was paperless and I never received an email..... They had no explaination about this. I asked what I needed to do to open the acct back up. THey said they couldn't and that I would have to apply again. I just wonder why would you want to lose a paying customer. Will never buy from sears again!

SEARS Delivery FAIL

I spent $1800 on a new washer and dryer in the Astoria, OR Sears store - arranged to have it delivered on Friday, 10/31/2014 - I took the day off of work to meet them. I never got a call the night before, so at EXACTLY 9:32 am I called to check on that order - only to find out that the original Sales girl in Astoria, OR took down my Phone number Incorrectly - so they could not call me, and they tried to deliver - between 9:24 and 9:32. I finally found out that the phone number was wrong, I gave the correct phone number. Then they told me that the delivery would not happen today?? It was only about 9:45 am at that point, surely they could deliver that washer and dryer - that I had spend $1800 on and had waited a week for and had taken a day off of work for - within the 7 plus hours before it became 'closing' time at 5:00 pm. I stayed on that call for more than 30 minutes, just to talk to a manager, just so I could get in touch with the delivery guys and tell them how to get to my house. I was told there was no way to contact the delivery guys directly - an email had to go to dispatch and then they could get in touch with the delivery van...How Incredibly Inefficient and Counter-Productive that method of Delivery would be - if that were true. I am EXTREMELY DISSATISFIED with the delivery service that Sears is using, your phone support is not in America and I REALLY do not like to spend money on a 'MADE IN THE USA' company, that contracts all of it's customer support 'OUT OF THE USA'. I tried to go to Sears.com to leave some feedback, but my SalesCheck # comes back as not valid - so now I am not sure what kind of hoops I am going to have to jump through - What kind of work I am going to have to do to get the Washer and Dryer that I HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR! I am done dealing with Sears, I will spend a good portion of my energy and time spreading the word about the DIS-SERVICE you are using for your delivery. SEARS did not get back to me until 5:30 pm - 7 hours after they had promised to get back to me asap. The recording said that there was a problem with my delivery and I need to call and reschedule...by the time the recording got to me, I only had 30 minutes to reschedule that delivery. Guess what number was was a phone menu nightmare and recordings only - with a promise to speak to a person - for about 43 minutes...at that point it was too late to schedule a delivery, apparently, because the call was then disconnected. Shame on SEARS for using such Lousy Customer Service and Delivery contractors. I am no longer a Sears customer.

Ordered a washer online and scheduled delivery. The night before we got a call from sears automated phone service that confirms delivery date and 2 hour window. On the deliver day, no one showed so I called customer service, they read some script about how they guarantee it will be delivered by today. At the end of Day, no one showed. I called customer service again and they said I have to reschedule. On the rescheduled date, no show again. No one from Sears cares or calls to tell you the status of the delivery. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH SEARS. They charged my CC but never gave me my items. I did call sear about 4 times to verify the address. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH SEARS.

Sears in Toms River, New Jersey - What time will the repairman be here?

I had a Sears repairman fix my dishwasher. After he fixed it I had a leak under the dish, washer dripping into the basement. I called to get the repairman back. They gave me an appointment a week later between 1 and 5. i waited and waited, but the repairman did not show up. I called again to complain about he fact that the repairman never showed up. The person on the phone apologized, rescheduled my appointment and assured me that I would be the first stop that the repairman made, again between 1 and 5. I waited and waited until finally at 4:55 he showed up, partially fixed the leak and told me I would have to get someone else to (a plumber) to fix the rest of the leak.

I was charged twice by sears calgary online . The credit to my visa did not come in 7-10 days and my credit card company will file a report after 30 days.

So im in limbo untill then. I guess i will post about it every chance i can.

I will give sears one chance. This afects future dealings with this company for me

Sears is now owned by a hedge fund. What's usually the case is sears will be milked dry for those quarterly returns. Policy is now never give a sucker ( in this case consumers) an even chance. Capitalism ala hedge funds.

I bought a freezer that did not work I contacted the door in seven days and was promised by a Salesman Myka that I would get a new freezer. I called the store and could not get a live person, just an answer machine. So, I visited the store three times traveling at least ten miles each time. I waited three weeks and complained to the store manger who told the salesman to set up a date to be repaired and no response. I had to call the office of the president before I was able to get a repair person.

I was once an associate at Sears and their management is absolutely horrible. They are discouraging all their customers by poor customer service. They are unorganized and very untidy. I used to get customers that would ask me when is Sears closing down because they have closed many Sears stores recently. The company isn't doing as good as they were in credit and they push credit too darn much. There was no opportunities to advance to any higher position. The store manager was never there and she doesn't do hardly much. Sears sucks as a company.

Don't Buy Appliances from Sears (Kenmore Waterheater) 5 failures in 2 months

I've had 5 failures on my Kenmore Waterheater (4 within 1 month). I have a Service Warranty and have to wait a minimum of 2 days without hot water before a tech will arrive. Simple solutions are not listed in the troubleshooting section of the manual. They don't want to tell you so individuals have to pay 160.00 on a service call. My last service call tech replaced the entire Gas Module on my unit. He left leaving a gas leak that filled the garage with gas fumes. I called Sears Service to report this. I reached a representative from the Philippines who gave me the standard scripted speech that they couldn't get a tech out for 2 days. I explained the seriousness of this, and they still emphasized they couldn't get anyone out for 2 days. You would think at least they would be trained to react to emergencies like this. They didn't even suggest to me to turn off the gas. I called back to request to speak to a supervisor. Again I reached the Philippines. The lady asked if I could hold for 15 minutes. I asked her to have the supervisor call me. She said I could expect a call within 2 hours. Nobody ever called. I received a call the next day and explained my concern regarding this. The lady again, from the Philippines expressed little concern and basically just repeated what the other rep had said. I asked her why their reps weren't trained to deal with emergencies like this and why they didn't even provide instructions on turning off the gas to prevent an explosion. I couldn't believe that she told me that she wasn't technical and to look in the manual. She then said that they don't provide on-call technicians. I then disconnected from the conversation and figured that speaking to anyone at Sears was a waste of time. A warning for others... Look elsewhere for your appliances and warranty service!!!!
