Sears - Delivery Service Review from Newark, New Jersey

I ordered a $9K, Jenn Air, built in frig., paid in full 9/2014. Was suppose to be delivered 9/18/2014. No delivery, four voice mail messages in last two days. No one answers the phone. This was the Grass Valley, Ca. store. I had to call Sac. To find out my delivery was rescheduled for two weeks later. Just awful customer service. Left a detailed message with their corporate office in San Francisco. No return phone from them either.

Sears - Credit Card Review from Livonia, Michigan

I worked at Sears for about 8 hours and quit. They put me my first time EVER on the cash register on a SATURDAY, the busiest day of the entire week. It was horrible; imagine using a caveman age computer (how much money do they make and they can't fix the *** computers or update them???) with impatient customers who had to put up with the new girl. It was just insane. Not to mention what got to me the most; the *** credit apps. you constantly had to sell *** credit cards that would do nothing but destroy people and ask people over and over again if they wanted them. And it's your fault if you don't sell them. I don't want to be responsible for someone else's destruction through a credit card. The pay was 7.40 ... REALLY? When you put up with *** rude customers I think you should at least be payed the right amount. Another thing; some of the workers that have been there for 15+ years only have two weeks vacation the entire year!!!! SEARS IS RIDICULOUS AND I WILL NEVER SHOP AT THEIR STORE AGAIN. They're disgustingly money hungry.

Going through the same issue. I am even willing to pay the restocking fee and pick up fee, they still will not resolve my issue! Buyers beware!

Got a new Ventura sofa mid July and within two weeks it started matting and looking terrible. Sears has not picked it up or refunded the product even after a complaint and Fter sending someone over to look at it. This is poor customer service and poor product quality. Do not buy this hunk of junk. Look at pictures ..this is after two weeks folks, looks like a forty years old sofa. I'm shocked that something selling for one thousand dollars is this poor quality, unbelievable. I feel I have no choice but to post this information given they are not doing anything about it.

Elite Appliances Review

Elite appliances(fridge, stove, dishwasher)are rusty after 5 months. The one non-elite appliance (microwave) is not rusty. They told me rust is not covered, what a joke as they sold me their stainless steel cleaner and that is what has been used on all appliances, but 3 of the 4 are showing rust. Sears in New York, New York - They canceled warranty on dishwasher first time out

Bought a Samsung dishwasher in Sep 2012 with a 5 year warranty.When I asked them to come out (may 2014) they sent a guy who blamed me for it not working. I have had dishwashers for 40 years and never had a problem - they canceled my warranty without ever repairing it and now I am stuck. DO NOT buy from Sears. Tried to even get them back out with paying for the repair, but now their repairman is refusing to even come out and seems that they only have one person in my area. When I called other companies to get a repair person they all told me that Samsung always breaks down. So I guess I made two mistakes.

Sears in Glendale, California - Failure to make confirmed service repair

Our Kenmore refrigerator broke down. A service appointment was made and the date and time confirmed by Sears. There was a week-long wait for the repairman. No repairman showed up for the appointment. During a call to the Service Department I was told that Sears didn't have enough repairmen. They could make a new appointment but no repairman could come in less than a week. There wasn't a guarantee that one would come. At no time prior to the iniitially scheduled appointment did Sears call to say that they wouldn't make their confirmed appointment. Sears had a week to call me. They could have called on the day of the appointment, but didn't. Sears at one time was the "gold standard" for goods and service. Sears repair service should definitely be avoided.

Wait...once they get you to lease, then the real nightmare begins! They kept hitting my account for what they called "partial payments" which I didn't expect and caused things to bounce, then late fees cause they'd hit my account on the wrong days and just kept adding...

Unfortunately, Sears has no control once you start a lease. WhyNotLeaseIt is a company that partnered with Sears to offer an additional financing option for people in a bind, that need an appliance or large item now, and do not have the funds readily available to purchase it.

I hope that the company rectified the random debits crom your account. That is hard and frustrating for anyone in the situation.

Sears in San Jose, California - *** Poor Customer Service / Never Told Us They Did Not Have Refridge

Attention Customer Complaint Dept. RE: Refrigerator - Here is the complaint! We were on the market for a refrigerator for about 3 months. And - after visiting 5 stores looking for help (and not getting the kind of help we wanted ) we went back to Sears for one more chance to see if we could get what we wanted. I wanted to go to Best Buy but my husband has been a fan of Sears for years, so I agreed and said - Okay lets give it one more try (this was our third visit to Sears looking for help) We FINALLY met a smart and extremely knowledgeable Sales Professional at Sears [ Location: Alpharetta Sears Store - 01695 # ] He was thorough and verified that the refrigerator we selected was available. We set a date and were soooooooo excited. The day before the delivery we got a call and an email confirming the delivery window . YAH! I took the day off (losing $350 because I could not work that day - because I had to be home to clean and prepare for the delivery) When 5:30pm came around And there was no Delivery or Call about why they were running late etc ----, I thought it would be a good idea to call Sears Home Delivery Service. and find out what was going on. BUT THE PHONE NUMBER WAS NOT ON THE EMAIL GO FIGURE!!! So, I found the phone number on GOOGLE and called Sears Home Delivery Service and explained the situation to a gal in customer service who I could not understand. So, I asked for her supervisor. And After being placed on hold for 3 solid minutes --- the supervisor finally got the on the phone, and as it tuned out, I could barely understand her, either!! But what I did manage to hear was this.. She said, "Oh sorry for the inconvenience but the refrigerator is not available and you will have to order another one" WHAT ?????????? I said. No one called us about this!! As far as we knew according to the phone message and email we got the refrigerator was to be delivered today. She said (at least five times) " OH, I AM SO SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE! I said, thank you and yes this is in inconvenience for sure - But What I want to hear the answer to my question. --- why were we not alerted???? that the refrigerator we ordered was not available. And why did I HAVE to call YOU to find this out? Okay - you get the pattern. Once again like a faceless tape recording she said, Oh, I am so sorry for the inconvenience. (then here is the worst part!!!!) She says ---- Sorry but The calls and emails are automated and that is why you are not finding out until now that your refrigerator is not in the warehouse. (WHAT - REALLY???? - And she is the Supervisor????? Seriously??? ) This is just another example of poor customer care!!! I said, That is not what I want to to hear! What I want to hear is that you will do research and whatever it takes to find the refrigerator we ordered and see to if it is backordered or if it is in another warehouse and make this right. OF COURSE - She mumbled something - that sounded like, Oh, I am so sorry for the inconvenience.... And then she asked, Can I have someone call you within 24 hours to help you order a different refrigerator? of course I said YES, fully thinking to myself --that will never happen!! With that I decided that this was the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD Don't ask me for her name because I could barely understand her.

Sears in Annville, Pennsylvania - Where's My Truck?

Delivery scheduled between 9 and 11 am. Called at 11:30 am - no help. Said they could not tell me when delivery was going to occur. Told me truck broke down. Hear at noon that the truck story is a lie, that the driver went to rent a delivery truck at 10 am when the rental counter opened (this rental place is at least a half hour away). After an hour waiting, they finally tell me that the deliver is not yet scheduled and they would call me back. Waited till after 1, called back, nobody called, waited 20 minutes, told that the delivery would be in thirty minutes. Waited till 3, called back after hearing from nobody, finally told truck on the way. Got a call from delivery supervisor, who was arrogant and obnoxious and would not tell me when the delivery truck would arrive. Lied some more. Truck shows up at 3:30, I ask why the delivery was six hours late, express frustration, denied delivery. Cancel the order, wasted a whole day. Never buy anything from Sears you can't take with you.
