Sears in State College, Pennsylvania - Brand New Broken Washer
Two weeks ago, I purchase a Kenmore front loading washer and dryer from Sears. I Hadrian some awful complaints towards Sears regarding appliance deliveries only after purchasing them and was then nervous, but the delivery guys came on time as expected and everything seemed right. Three days later, my washer stopped working. I called Sears and set up an appointment with a Sears technician for this morning. First, the technician gave an eight hour window of time and did not call like he was supposed to but just showed up. He then said that he couldn't do anything because we had removed the sticker with the serial and model number that comes on the washer. I told him that we had not seen or removed any such sticker yet he repeatedly accused us of removing it and basically told us we were out of luck and left! I then called the store I had purchased it from and no one could help me other than to say that I have to wait to speak with the sales associate who originally sold them to me. They recommended I purchase another set, have them delivered and then have my current ones hauled away to get reimbursed. Seriously?! Now I am on the phone with customer complaints waiting on hold after again being accused of removing this ridiculous sticker. I could not be more frustrated and am currently stuck win a brand new and for me expensive washer that does not work! Ridiculous. I made the mistake of giving Sears a chance and I am seriously regretting that now.

Sears Lies and Customer Service is a Joke
Purchased a washer & dryer from Sears in January and for 3-4 months everything was fine. Then the nightmare begins. I have spent more time on the phone with them and taken more days off of work to wait on a technician to come out. First time the technician came out and fixed the problem and said there was a design flaw with the specific model and we should try and get a new one. Second time they scheduled it (under the wrong name and model) then called and said the technician was sick so they would have to reschedule (again had taken half a day off work). Later that evening a technician showed up out of the blue, he had all the wrong information, name, phone number, model number etc. But because the service ticket was not correct he could not do anything. About 3 days later another technician showed up (another half day off of work) and said that there was a firmware update due to the design flaw. Now the washer has been working ok (other than the grinding noise it makes when they cycle starts up) but wait went to turn it back on and low and behold the unit wont power up and the door is locked. My wife and I have collectively been on the phone with Sears for over 3 hours and no one can seem to help us out. Problem with this is not that the service date is for next week but the fact that we have cloths in the washer and by waiting for a week the cloths will probably spoil. So I am trying to get someone to give me some help on getting the washer opened so that we do not have to replace all of the cloths in there. Again, customer service tells me there is nothing that can be done till next week. If I try to open it myself the warranty will be voided. So do I let $1,000 -$2,000 worth of cloths spoil or do I open it myself.
Sears - Delivery Service Review
New in the area mistakenly, went to Sears to purchase Washer and Dryer. Employee in store needs more training, Customer services lied about my concerns information was entered. After 4 trips and paid for deliver set up they still did not compete job. After being charge by Sears for set up was so sick and tired of them I ended up paying someone else to hook up washer and dryer. Company have to take the time to train the Employees and also the ones working in customer service . Very disappointed would not referral Anyone to Sears.

Sears - Mattress Set Review from Bellevue, Washington
Bought two mattress sets and a stove. What a nightmare, first one of the mattress sets was incorrect and so we go to correct it downstairs and aren't given our stove receipt. They changed the delivery of stove and then wouldnt take our old mattresses after we paid for this. He wanted to leave my new mattresses in my garage or outside and refused to put them in our rooms this is an outrage I canceled all items and will take my business somewhere else.
Sears - Bad Service, Bad mower
In late 2011 Purchased a ride on mower at Sears, Model # 944.601380, this unit is manufactured by Husquavarna. First had an issue at the end of 2012, front tires were literally rotten, checked with Sears, no recalls, even thought the parent company that manufactured the mower did recall it for rotten tires. This mower has been used for no more then 20 hours and now the Subasm final drive is gone in it, the part alone is $322.99 plus a big job to install. I have friends that have mowers from Sears that are 20 years old and these kinds of problems not even heard of. This model is obviously the exception to the rule and I would like to know how many other consumers out there feel ripped off by Sears pissy warranty of 2 years on something like this.

Sears - Lemon ruling is a lemon--Refrigerator customer service
A year and a half ago, I purchased a Kenmore top-mount refrigerator which promptly broke down. It was fixed under warranty. Last month, it broke again. So I called the "lemon" number. A nice representative said that he spoke to his superior and would refund me not only a 2 percent discount on the next fridge but also what I would have paid in service (about $230." After three follow-up calls and unpardonable wait times while customer service reps did "research," I was told that the check I was promised by the first rep had been issued twice and cancelled because the repairs had been done under warranty. No one took the trouble to even notify me about this. This after I'd been promised the $230 rebate plus the 2 percent discount. This is a way to treat loyal customers? To me, this is not only not a company that doesn't behind its product but also one that prevaricates, fabricates and plays its customers. Meanwhile, I've been stuck with a broken refrigerator for two weeks and they've lost a customer. I expect nothing more than the usual syrupy "Oh, we're so sorry about that.
Goodbye, Sears, and forever
I'd been a confirmed Sears buyer for decades. A year and a half ago, I bought a Kenmore top-mount freezer fridge that promptly broke down. It was repaired under warranty. Three weeks ago, it broke down again. I called the customer center, and a very nice customer rep promised me not only a 2 percent discount but also a rebate equal to what the repairs would have cost me. I got an e-mail with the case number. After two more calls that included a promise for a check instead of a credit card rebate (since I heard nothing more), I learned today from a fourth call that included about 15 minutes of "research" that the check had been issued and cancelled twice because it had been done under warranty and the rep shouldn't have promised me such a thing (he had done this after speaking with a superior). No one even gave me the courtesy of a contact call. This is a way to treat loyal customers? To me, this is not only not a company that doesn't stand behind its product but also one that prevaricates, fabricates and plays its customers. Meanwhile, I've been stuck with a broken refrigerator for two weeks. They've lost a 40-year customer and I've contacted them as such. I'll most likely get an e-mail with a syrupy "Oh, we're so sorry about that."
I've been trying to make a layaway payment since September 3 and I can't get through I been making phone call they can't help me
Sears in Ann Arbor, Michigan - Still waiting for my Washer and Dryer
This has to be the worst company to deal with. I am still waiting for a delivery that was scheduled and never came. I was told by a computer what time my delivery would be on Friday and it was not convenient for me so I called and changed it for later that day. The delivery came in the morning when I was not here and I was never notified. So, I wait all day until 6:15 and call. They told me they came in the morning and I was not home...Well, duh...that is why I changed the time. The customer service person promised me the machines would be at my house Monday morning by 8:00 am. God forbid they try to correct their mistake and come on a Saturday. I get the email Saturday telling me they are coming Monday and will call the night before to tell me the time. At 9:00 pm Sunday I call, they are not coming Monday, now they are coming Tuesday. When was someone going to let me know? I will believe it when it happens. Remember, if you want to work for Sears Home delivery, you must complete 3rd grade and be able to not give a *** about customer service.
