Sears in Wells, Maine - Customer service - what a joke

My wife and I bought a 46 inch Samsung TV from Sears two and a half years ago...on Aug. 27 I got home from work to have my wife tell me there had been a loud pop, then no picture. We had the extended warranty; I called customer service and described, the problem, along with the fact that the on light flashed three times when I tried to power up the TV, which is a diagnostic tool to help indicate the problem; the CSR couldn't find what that meant (although I did a few minutes later after a quick internet search), but said a tech would be coming...on Sept. 11, more than two weeks later. That led me to sending emails to Sears, and I got a call from their Blue Ribbon team a couple days later....they offered us the option of leasing a TV until ours was fixed; I wasn't going to pay out of pocket then wait for a reimbursement, nor was I going to lug 46 inch TVs back and forth; they also offered us an $85 reimbursement toward the purchase of a tv, and, with no other set in the house, we bought a much smaller tv to hold us over until repairs were done. We also were told that they would get a tech to our house earlier if possible....and lo and behold, he was at our house on Sept. 4. He pushed the power button, took the back off the TV...and five minutes later, he told me that the problem was the one I had found online. He added, however, that he had no replacement parts because of the age of the TV - again, two and a half years - and would have to order them and come back...on Sept. 18. So it's going to be three weeks before a repair is even attempted, and who knows if it will be fixed them. I contacted the Blue Ribbon team again after this fiasco. Not surprisingly, I haven't heard anything back. And I doubt I do.

Bought tires there and cant even get car in to get tires serviced. 1 person working counter and one person working in the garage. Hours wait to get oil/tire rotation. This store SUCKS!!!! WILL NOT BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM THEM AGAIN. THEY DESERVE TO GO OUT OF BUSINESS!!!! Make appointment to be first in and first out. Schedule 3 other cars at the same time. Do not have time to leave car for the day to get a simple oil change/rotation. This should be accomplished in a short time. Now have to take somewhere else to and pay for rotation and balance after I've already paid for the road hazard on the tires. This is the worst run department i have ever seen.

Sears - Mattress right and left side different heights, lumpy and uncomfortable, more cushion than firm.
I realized a difference on each side of the mattress. When the mattress was measured it proved to be a difference in the height on the right side and left side. The right side is Lumpy and not smooth, has a cushion feel not firm. When you roll to the center of the mattress a major difference in the height is noted.It is not a mattress of comfort. One email was sent Sunday August 31, 2014, I am trying to send another due to the fact no one informed me that one picture needed to me sent at a time due to your web site system. PICTURE #1

My Mother had a warranty on her air conditioner, a PAID for warranty at that. She has been without a air conditioner for 6 weeks now in the summer heat. She is disabled and my stepdad just had double knee surgery. They have been lied to over and over. They were suppose to install the new airconditioner on Sept 3 and they waited all day and no one showed up, call sears AGAIN and they said it was down for Sept 5th. The girl looked up the sku number and said you are right it was for the 3rd and someone changed it to the 5th. This is the most incompetent Company I have ever dealt with!!! I really hope that your company goes out of business and I am suprised with your beyond poor customer service that you are still in business. I am telling everyone that I know not to deal with Sears

Sears - Long wait for repair to finally happen, replacement parts were faulty, treats my house as their own personal warehouse, available 8am-5pm multiple days for them to continually set new repair dates

The transmission went out on our washer machine a month ago. They sent repairmen out to diagnose the problem. Then they didn't have parts anywhere close. So they had the parts shipped to our house and we had to store the parts as if we are their own personal warehouse. Then they were to come back in 9 days. One of the boxes that was sent had grease/oil on it and stained our front porch. When the repairmen arrived today they knew the sent transmission was bad by the grease on the box. Obviously whoever sent it would've known it was bad before they sent it, but sent it anyway. Now I have to wait another week for them to get another transmission. The washer completely stopped working last night and won't even clean a little. In addition to that I just got around to folding the clothes of the last week(busy mom always behind syndrome) and found that instead of cleaning the clothes, the washer has been adding oil and grease stains to all my clothes that were cleaner before they were even washed. Now I have set in, new stains. I also have to wait (at least) another week for the repair to happen. And of course you have to be available for them to come at the very non-specific time of 8am-5pm. At least the repairmen who've come are polite.

Sears - Delivery people were not helpful

we were told that the delivery people would hookup the frig but when they got there they said that they couldn't because of the new code saying that because of no hookup behind the frig. How do people know the new code? Our house is only 10 years old so we thought that we were up to code. We forgot that we needed the door switch to the other side and we had problems and the drivers would not answer the pages and messages and the sears store even called a frig man but none of the calls were answered so we had to put the doors back like they were. I was told that the delivery people looked over the frig and didn't see any dents. I found a dent within 5 secs after they left. I was told that their would be a call were I can report it within 3 days and again there was no phone call to report anything. I would not replace the frig because of the problems we had thur sears

My husband picked out his wedding ring last November 2013 at our local Sears. We were told that the tungsten carbide ring would not break or scratch! We were excited because my husband works in construction and would need a ring like that. It is now September 2014 and my husband's ring has broke and has a chunk out of it. I contacted Sears with my order number assuming there be no problem to replace his rings saying that it was Sears. I have purchased many items through Sears without any thought of being taken advantage of. Once contacting them they told me that the ring only had 30 days to be returned. I could understand if I was wanting to return the ring but I'm wanting to replace a broken item I purchased less than a year ago from Sears this is a big store! I am now on hold waiting for the third manager to speak to in customer service at 120 time being told they could not speak to me if I was going to record the conversation. I told them I would not record the conversation but I would go ahead and what social medias know what's going on with their great stores Sears. Last April 2013 the portrait studio for Sears bankrupt who actually was owned by CPI a third party that regardless Sears allowed their customers to associate with Sears policies. I am afraid Sears is on its last l ed now cheating their customers out of any money they can. I am very disappointed and will continue to inform consumers of the poor service I received when purchasing something as important as a wedding ring and it breaking in less than a year and being turned away for any replacement! I spoke to Lucy in customer service employee ID 825117 she was very rude and very unhelpful made Sears look and sound like a hoax and not a true American Store!!

Sears - Without refrigeration for 6 weeks in the Tucson summer

My refrigerator stopped working after only 2 years. It was NOT the bottom of the line. I bought the extended warranty. It's been 6 weeks, 4 repair visits, at least 12 hours on the phone, and them forcing a check from me that they were not entitled to because I had the extended warranty but the repairman would not leave until I gave him money. I've been without a refrigerator for 6 weeks now in the middle of a Tucson AZ summer. They got my records mixed up with someone with the same last name, showed up without informing me they were scheduled, and changed the ice maker twice even though the first time made no difference at all. I can't make them understand it needs to be replaced and my warranty says I'm entitled to a new one.

Bought a AC/Heating Unit for $10,800. and AC broke after 2 yrs. Sears installers only give you warranty for 12 months after that Sears will cover only the cost of parts not labor which is the most expense plus the $100 for them to come out. Then the they tell you this is your fault because you didn't purchase the extended warranties which were never offered and are also very expensive. It is just one scam after another with them. They told me that the condenser always fails, this is common and happens all the time with their products because they are junk. The condenser is made of 3 different metals which do not work well with each other, causing them to leak and fail. It lost all it's refrigerant in just two years. It is going on 2 months now with no air condition and we are having a heat wave it is 87 degrees in my house, so I just went out and bought 3 AC window units, because they still have repaired my unit. I have a 15 yr old cat and this heat today almost killed him. I am completely fed up with SEARS. They made me an offer to fix it, we agreed to the offer the repairman came and ordered the part and 2 days later they called me and broke that agreement. They told me that they could not do it for that price they quoted me and that it was going to cost me more. Can't trust in this company anymore. I will have to get everything in writing for now on! This company can't be trusted! They keep putting the blame on us for their faulty product instead of just fixing it! No loyalty here! I was a life-time customer, but I won't ever buy their products again! Filed with BBB still waiting for some HELP!
