Sears in Houston, Texas - Installation issues and customer service incompetance

Installed a microwave without attaching to outside vent. exhaust now blows back into the house. When used, trash blows onto the food. Have unplugged to prevent using. Installers have promise to come fixed but never show up or call. Going on a week and when we get them on the phone they keep moving the date out. We called to return the refrigerator, stove, microwave, and dish washer due to this dissatisfaction. The run around we have gotten between installer and return personnel is outrageous. Installs lie and say they have called and no one answered although they didn't leave a message. We didn't have any such calls.

Sears in Omaha, Nebraska - Poor service double billed!!!

I have placed 2 purchases from Sears in the last few weeks. First I was charged on both orders twice and had to call to have one taken off my bank account. The second one cost me an overdraft charge and all I received was a sorry. Also got an E-mail stating my order was shipped and a fake tracking number. When I tried to contact Sears I get foreigners that speak very poor English. Want to get back to me in 3 or 4 days very poor customer service!!! I do not know if I will ever place any more orders with Sears!!!

The reason you were 'charged' twice is because when the order is placed all Sears does is put a hold on the account until the order ships. Once it ships the hold disappears and an actual charge takes it place.

The hold can take a few days to disappear and some banks can remove/hurry the hold along which obviously yours did. Keep in mind many online retailers put charges through this way.

Sears - Delivery Service Review from Livingston, New Jersey

We had purchased a washer and dryer from sears and were told the merchandise would be delivered on Monday and when I called to find out what time to expect the delivery I was informed that it wouldn't be delivered until Thursday! We ate VERY unsatisfied with this and will never buy ANYTHING from sears again! The department manager tried to tell me that the sales person had made a mistake in telling me that the merchandise would be delivered on Monday and that I was confused in what I had been told! I explained to him that the person said I could've had it delivered on Saturday and I told him we had family coming in town to visit and would rather have it delivered on Monday so we could spend time with our family...and so that's when we set it up...so here I've cleared my schedule for the merchandise to be delivered and now I'm having to reschedule everything for Thursday and he acts like it's no big deal!!! And I'm supposed to be ok with this horrible customer service!!!! I am very unsatisfied with the customer service and I feel that everyone should know what poor customer service we have received!!!

I am thoroughly disgusted and disappointed in sears. We have purchased all of our appliances from you and now that we have an issue with our washer we cant get any service. We bought our samsung top load machine in dec 2012. 4 months after the warranty expired the motor went. We contacted sears and arranged for service after realizing the motor is covered for 10 years and we should only have to pay for labour. Upon the techs arrival we were told yes it is the motor...great lets fix it! When it came time to pay him for the call i was told he cannot accept cash only a credit card and we do not use credit cards. He said he will not order our motor and it cant be fixed until we have a credit card. REALLY!!! we are not going to go get a credit card just so we can have our machine repaired when we are capable of paying by cash. I have called customer service repeatedly only to be told I would get an invoice which i could pay first then repair would be done. Ive reveived no invoice, cant get a return phone call, been given the run around several times when i called and still no invoice. I am stuck going to the laundramat twice a week since we are a family of 6 to do my *** laundry when i have a practically brand new set sitting here. We will NEVER buy from sears again and as business owners we make sure to tell everyone about the terrible treatment we have reveived and i will continue to tell everyone i know. I am appaled and just wish I could get a call to fix a simple problem. Now i dont know what to do with my washer besides maybe scrap it. Unreal

Flat Tire Fixing Review

Brought Plymouth into shop with a flat tire. It was still under the warranty since bought all of them quite recently. The refused to change the flat tire. Sas itpoke to them once but he also would not fix the flat as it continued to deflate. Got noplace with them.

Imagine working for them! I'm a fulltime college student who previously worked at Sears and I hated it. The managers annoyed us all day about getting customers to sign up for credit cards which was so annoying. I'm not talking about 1 or 2 credit cards a day, I'm talking about 15 credit cards a day per cashier! It was ridiculous and when the customers said no we were told to ask them FIVE TIMES and let the sixth time be the last. If we didn't do it we would get in trouble which was completely not fair because no one WANTS a credit card, especially a store credit card. I'm so happy I quit. And if you are a teenager looking for a job, please do not apply at sears. They're annoying as ***.

Sears is awful. We paid to have a service plan on out riding lawn mower & we have called numerous times due to lower than standard quality of the mower. When you can get in touch with someone they will put an appointment in but tell you their repair man will be there anywhere between 8am and 5pm. They actually think you have nothing better to do then wait all day for their people to arrive. We waited & nobody showed up & when we called they said they had to records of a service request for us. After waiting 3 weeks for the appointment date they said they would issues yet another service date in 3 weeks!!! Now its well over a month and a half that we've waited to use our mower and we are expected to wait the entire day once again for someone to arrive. We were beyond pissed, but when speaking to their customer service reps we couldn't get any better action. Thinking they were just under trained we asked to speak to a supervisor who was even worse. She actually hung up on us without any explanation, or any action to rectify the situation. I will post everywhere I can about their poor quality, their less then standard customer service & lack of compassion in hopes NOBODY buys any power equipment from them, and endures what we have. Next is my local news stations who love to run clips like this. They are downright awful!

Discharge Review

I filed bankruptcy & received a discharge. Sears kept calling me even though all charged was unsecured. I listed them in the bk & sent them copy of d/c. Get this I get a call from Rodney who tells me "you needs to write us a letter of explanation as to why you filed bankruptcy" I told him I follow the rules of the federal bankruptcy court, I'm not sending you any such thing. He became very abusive. They are going bankrupt themselves & there will be plenty of unemployed high school grads like Rodney filing bk. that's why I went to school & live in a nice neighborhood so I dont's gotta rub shoulders wid dem Rodney's.

The bearing kit is around $100 , there are many you tube videos step by step how to complete the repair. (if your handy) Btw your kenmore oasis is made by whirlpool. Research whirlpool cabrio as well as the maytag bravos bearing failure..very common issue.
