Sears - Kenmore Elite Mildew Washer

I was sold an inferior product. When I call for them to fix it I was literally told it was my problem and that the washer technically works just fine. The only problem is that the washer is suppose to clean clothes and not leave them mildewed. It is not pleasant to get up to take a shower every morning to dry off with a mildewed towel. Do not buy this product! Sears customer service is not helpful, they are a joke. They read off a script and keep saying I'm sorry, but there is nothing we can do.. Here's another number for you to call. I will never buy from sears again.

I am very disappointed at sears Kenmore front loading washer. I purchased a Kenmore elite front loading washer and it is only 18 months old and I have been having problems with it.

My husband was on the phone all day today and got nowhere. It keeps leaking water and they replaced the rubber seal and the repair man just ordered another seal today. It also is flashing codes and when they come up I can't use the washer. We have always had Kenmore appliances and have always been good up until now.

Since they are no longer made by Kenmore they are junk. I will never buy a Kenmore appliance again since they don't want to replace my washer, due to the serviced agreement. I guess they want the agreement to run out and then I have to pay to have it fixed.

We have been dealing with Sears for over 30 years and if this is the kind of service we are going to get, well guess what, no more dealing with sears.

Some washing machines you have to leave the door open when not using to prevent mold build up but after washing a load that should be gone especially a bleached load. Sounds like a spin/dry cycle might not be working right along with a drain/discharge problem.

Keep after them. Report that model and Sears to the Better Business Bureau.

Good Luck

Sears - Advertising misleading on luggage.

Recently I was in Sears in Gatineau (Hull) and noticed a few signs that had luggage at 55% off. When I got to the cash I was informed that that was not the luggage thatwas on sale. The sign was aaround the handle of several pieces and a large sign hanging from the ceiling above it. When I sent an email to complain I was told that I would be contacted by someone. A woman named Wendy called and left a number where she could be reached. I called several times with no response, you would think an answering machine would be helpful to them. When I did reach someone I asked that Wendy call me back. I never received a return call from her, this after asking on three different occasions. I am now a Target customer as Sears seems to think they are still in 1950 where there are no alteratives to them.

Sears

I previously worked at Sears in Lawrence County, PA. I really liked my job (for the most part) however; I really got annoyed because we were forced to sign "fake" people up for the shop your way rewards card. Everyday that I worked I was begged by my manager to come in the back office and create fake individuals so that they would have a high store ranking; they also forced us to sign individuals up for the credit card or we would be threatened with getting fired. If you didn't sign people up for these things; they would only schedule you for like 3 hours once a week or even 15 hours a MONTH! They also had employees walk through the isles and beg them to sign up to get their houses remodeled...if they couldn't get at least 5 during their shift...they would be suspended or fired. It really was horrible how they treated some of their employee's...it reminded me of high school how they had their cliques! I really enjoyed working for the company however; they really need to watch who they put in charge.

Sears in Marietta, Georgia - Technicians can't do the job and don't show up for their appointment

Sears and its support system lies and fabricates situations. I am so frustrated and left with a broken refrigerator and sears could care less. They order expensive parts and can't fix it. They say they are coming and they don't. Unacceptable and unprofessional behavior!! We had to purchase a new refrigerator that did not fit in our kitchen from sears just to be able to contact a normal daily needs. They are supposed to come this week, but I am sure they will come up with new excuses as to why they can't fix the product. At the end of the day, they will order more expensive parts which are still under warranty and tell me they that they will come back in a week. What am I supposed to do? The costumer service operators keep telling me that they feel my frustration !!! Are they kidding?

Sears in Saint James, Missouri - Having the extended waranty

I brought our 70 pint dehumidifier in for repair on July 22 2013 at the Rolla, MO store (3382 ). I think it is sad to not of heard back yet as we live in an earth contact home and need this very badly. I took out the warranty since I bought it a year before and explained how much it has to run for the moisture in our house. Now we sit without it for this long and it probably just needed to be replaced with a new one after working hard. This product works hard in our place and I need it daily. I need more words and have said it all. Leanne Johnson

Sears - HR Records sold in filing cabinet!!! Chicago area.

I use to work at Sears in River Oaks Mall, Calumet City, IL a few years ago while I was searching for new employment. Well last week while watching my local news there was a story on about a man that bought a filing cabinet from a sale of fixtures from closed Sear's stores in the area. Well low and behold he said he opened up the cabinet there were 100s of ex-employees files. Social Security numbers, DL, names and bank info. He tried to call Sears and to no response he called the local TV station. Well after putting this on the air Sears came and picked up the filing cabinet and offered the man $100.00 gift card. I hope this man is honest and did not copy any info or show this info to anyone as I KNOW what ID theft can do to you and I don't want ( or anyone else) to have to go through this *** again. I called Sears HR department and they acted *** and said they have no clue what I am talking about. Just trying to cover there *** I guess. Hope and pray they pay for this. This is one of the most careless things I have ever seen an employer do!!!!

We all KNOW that they are beyond incompetent. I really think that a good strong class action lawsuit would be just what the doctor ordered.

It's too bad that people don't ban together and sue for damages. That would probably be enough to finish them off in the process.

It's too bad. It's the end of another era.

Sears appliance replacement.

We are currently in the process of dealing with Sears to get our 1 year old Kenmore Elite refrigerator replaced. After two weeks of failed repair attempts, on Friday July 26 our refrigerator was deemed unrepairable. We were told that we would be contacted in 24-48 hours to get this process taken care of. On Saturday the 27th I called to check up on the process and was told that I takes 3 days and we would be contacted on Wednesday. Since we are without a refrigerator for our family we called on Tuesday to see if we could get an answer sooner and were again told close of business Wednesday we would be contacted. Wednesday came around and we never were contacted, so Wednesday evening I called again (these are 1-2hour calls by the way because we always have to be transferred 3 times). On this call I was told that the processing team is behind and it is taking 5 days so we would be contacted on Friday. Friday comes, I wait through the afternoon and decide I will call to check again. I am now being told that it is in "processing" and we should know soon. Not even given a time frame. The item that we are wanting to get as a replacement is in stock at our sears location in Jefferson City, Mo. If this would have been taken care of Wednesday, it could have been delivered yesterday and we would have a working refrigerator. As it stands now, we still do not have a working refrigerator and have no timeframe that this will be resolved. We need someone to take care of this situation. We are now at 3 weeks without a working refrigerator that we purchased a master protection agreement on just so we wouldn't ever be in this situation. On the phone, the only solution we are given is to wait longer. We have spent many hours on the phone trying to get this done. As I said above this was a 3 day process originally, we are now on day 8 and not one time has anyone from sears contacted us to apologize or let us know it was going to take longer.I did respond to an email from your customer solutions department letting them know everything I have told you. That was 3 days ago, and have gotten no response.I was actually told yesterday that if we did not pay for delivery of our new item, we would actually be expected to load up the non working refrigerator an deliver it to the store ourselves! If looking for new appliances do yourself a favor and look elsewhere !

Sears will not sell any products to consumers who live in apartment buildings, regardless of whether they own or rent the unit. I am so sick of being discriminated against because I can't afford to buy property. I pay more in rent, I have no investment, I don't get...

Why in heaven's name did you repeat this three times? What were you trying to buy that it would make any difference what type of residence you live in?

As far as how wealthy a person is, that doesn't determine if you rent of own. Most of the people that I know that live in apartments do so because of the convenience----not having to worry about upkeep, yard work, etc. Probably if you are trying to buy something that has to be installed, that might be a reason they won't sell it to you. When you rent you aren't supposed to install things without the landlords OK.

Most landlords want to install things themselves or have their maintenance people do the installing. What kind of tax break do you think people that own their homes receive. The people that I know that are home owners are always complaining about how high their real estate taxes are. If you pay more in rent, than a mortgage payment would be, the apartment you are living in is way too expensive.

You do have to stop and think that in your rent, some of the utilities are included. The rent for my two bedroom apartment includes heat, water, sewer, garbage. They toss cable in as a thank you for renting from them. All I have to pay besides the rent is electricity, phone, and internet.

But even if I had to pay for cable, it would still be cheaper than a home owner having to pay a mortgage payment, plus all of the utilities, and home owner's insurance.

The renter's insurance that I have is a lot cheaper than homeowner's would be. Count your blessings.

I have encountered the same thing when I tried to return a Christmas gift that did not fit. Sears would not exchange or offer a store card.

Said they must have receipt or phone number of the person that purchased the item to look up the transaction.

Sears has just lost a customer. No wonder they are going out of business.
