Sears in Washington, District Of Columbia - Sucked me into buying a washer and dryer they knew was not a good product.

Have always bought appliances like washer/dryer in pairs. I had problems with these 2 since the first delivery. After 3 attempts, delivery on last 2 had dents in the outside. Exhausted, I accepted the dents for a small amount of money. Repair has been to my house so many times that the repair men laugh everytime they get here. These were recalled and Sears has not done anything about them yet. Purchased in 2003. Wardrobes have been destroyed with tares and bleach on dark colors. They break down monthly. When they should have replaced, they didn't. Still under warranty. Nothing moves Sears. You just get STUCK.

Sears tire bait & switch, then fail

Got an unrepairable flat on my car. Borrowed a car to go to Sears to confirm they had the correct size tires for my car - 215x60-16. Sales guy said they did but wanted to do a physical check of inventory because "sometimes the computer says they are there but they aren't." He verified the tires were in stock. I got my car and made it to Sears to get the tires only to be told they do not have them. Good thing it's raining. Not only don't they have them but they can't get them. But the same sales guy said they could fit a size smaller or a size larger - at a higher price. I asked if they could split the price difference or do something. NO! the sales guy went to the manager who evidently was too into himself to come out and talk to me. Then the sales guy finally admitted that not only did they not have the tires I wanted but they did not have the other tire sizes in stock and couldn't get them for at least three days. Hero manager didn't ever extend the courtesy to crawl out his hole. Sears corporate said they could send me a $20 gift certificate for my trouble. I said to keep it.

Exact same bait and switch situation happened to me at a California Sears. This must be part of a Sears sales tactic taught nationwide.

Called for a specific tire I saw online. Sales person said they have a different brand but same (lower) price. Got to the store, sales guy makes it a point to show me on the computer they have 5 "somewhere in the store" but since they're backed up on orders it will be a few hours and he'll call me back. Few hours later he calls me back.

"Can't find them" he says but he can pick up a different tire that's in stock at their warehouse at a much higher price of course. I looked online again, that tire he quoted me that he will pick up was $40 cheaper on Sears website. He said he can "try to price match". I said "according to your website "you will HAVE to price match".

1 day later I have received no phone call, my rim is still at Sears. Protect yourself before you go in for tires. Check online or bring in a copy of the tires plus your 2nd or 3rd choice for their website.

They will for sure quote a different price than what you have and for sure will try to sell you a higher priced tire. I will follow-up soon.

Noone ever works at Sears or so it seems. I submitted the details of my business ( Lovely Intimates, Inc) and requested for approval of online sales program - 'Sears on Sears' for a month. The date I registred is 08/01/2011. I contacted Sears seller support on ...

Yes - I am having the same experience. I sell on Amazon, Buy, Ebay, Shopping, PriceGrabber, etc.

and have had no difficulty with account set up of feed uploading.

Clearly SEARS has no interest in adding new merchants.

I can't believe the run-around my 86 year old mother has gotten on her new kitchen durable products. A fridge- broke three times, dishwasher- broke one time with a blown up board, and stove top - broke one time with cracked glass. Each service intervention has...

Dear "Sears Cares", You have got to be kidding! I e-mailed a letter to Sears' "Social Media Support" in reponse to a note I had from a fellow named Roy, which pertained to this very issue of faulty appliances and poor customer service.

It was a detailed letter, including contact information and a breakdown of the concerns. Two weeks later that letter has gone un-responded-to.

You claim Sears cares! If they did they'd stop sending canned responses to very important business correspondence and communicate directly with people who are so upset at Sears' practices. Sears doesn't really care, and the way they handle their customer complaints speaks to that statement.

Fortunately we live in a world where we have choices.

Mine is to NEVER buy an appliance from Sears again. I hope the rest of the common public can follow that as well.

Sears in Atlanta, Georgia - This company is just horrible, period.

The Lawn Tractor I purchased from Sears never performed well. They sent out service but one thing or another continued to work poorly. I finally went and bought a push mower at Home Depot just so i could mow my lawn. My yard is big and with the heat i decided i had to get the tractor in good shape. Service came out and did a basic tune up and leveled the deck, which has never been right. They charged $175. The mower then would start, run a few minutes, and die. I called them back out and he did some work on the carburetor and said to add some gas detergent. It was covered by the 90 day warranty from the previous service so there was no charge. Unfortunately, there was also no change. The mower will not run. It was a wasted $1,000. My push mower still runs well though. Unfortunately, this is par for the course. I'm kicking the Sears habit.

Sears in Los Angeles, California - The Worst Warranty In The World!!!

Sears is not the company my parents and grandparents once knew. I've always bought appliances from them and over the last 5 years its been a horrible experience. They will do everything in their power to not give you the service you paid for! They'll give us an appt. in a 4 hour window and then call 2 hours into that window and say the repairman called in sick and they can't come out. But this is after we've taken the day off work to wait for the repairman. So its much worse than just not fixing the appliance because we've lost money from not going to work. I'm currently going to the city courthouse to get the paperwork to sue them. I'm also putting a call into the news organizations to let them know about this. :(

Sears in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan - Mix up with delivery and install

I live in Saskatchewan and own a condo in Edmonton, Alberta. The dishwasher in the condo in Edmonton was no longer working for my tenants. To make things easier (I thought), I ordered a dishwasher from Sears and picked a delivery date on the calender provided. Then I "tried" contacting the service department for install. Oh my God, what a trial that was! On my initial call, I was transferred to four different departments, and then was led to believe that I was speaking to the right person (department). I get a call last night to confirm delivery - but to Saskatoon not Edmonton!! So I had to go through the whole thing again and now it can't be delivered and installed until Sept. 7. Meanwhile I get a email from the service department apologizing for all the mix ups, and claim them don't know why it would have been delivered to Saskatchewan..and gave me a 1-866 number to call to see if I could change the delivery date. I called the number and it is not Sears...it is some service that you have to pay for....I am very disappointed and will never order anything from Sears again.

Sears Auto Center refused to do brakes

I had a coupon for $114.99 for brake service (one axle). They required a $15 "inspection" prior to doing any work and came back with a list of things "wrong" with my car and said they can't install new brake pads until I get all those things repaired. I told them I could only afford to fix one thing at a time but the customer service advisor wasn't even listening to what I was trying to tell him and they wouldn't do the brakes so I left without having any work done. I left very disappointed.

I went to Sears to get new brake pads installed but when I found out that I had to pay $15 just to have them tell me they needed to be changed and probably more and that it would have cost me over $400 to have it done, I decided to just do it myself. I youtubed a video for instructions and holy *** it was easy.

Plus, it only cost about $50 total to do it myself.

Around $40 for all of the pads at NAPA and around $10 for the brake caliber need to reset the piston. Still one of the easiest repair jobs ever.

Sears is giving me the run around about replacing our t.v.

We purchased a Panisonic 56 inch H.D T.V. in 2007. Since we purchsed the t.v. we have had nothing but problems. We have had 3 bulbs replaced and now the whole chasis went out. We have the chasis sitting in out living room and Sears will not install it becuse they called Panisonic and they both want to just replace the t.v. We have been waiting a month and still no resolution and still no t.v. Sears has lost a life time customer and my next step is contacting my Attorney and the better business bureau.

Sears in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan - Sold 2006/2007 appliances in 2009, can't get griil now.

In Jan. 2009, I purchased a Kenmore Pro Refrigerator and Freezer for $3,000.00 at Sears in Oakland Mall, in Madison Heights, MI. My contractor preferred that I have all my appliances before they started my construction project. For the last year in a half, I've purchased the Kenmore Pro 3. cook top, 4. dishwasher, 5. double oven, 6. single oven and 7. warming draw totaling $12,000.00. Nevertheless, I've been trying to buy the Kenmore Pro Dual Stainless Steel Grill since March, only to find out that it's discontinued. It was available for purchase on the website until July or shall I say until I complained. After complaining and calling, everyone, I found out the my fridge and freezer is Sears 2006/2007 model. Wow. Unbelievable. I knew it was a problem, because all appliances last a few years and parts and accessories should last longer.
