Sears lack of warranty support - mowers

I purchased a lawn tractor in April 2010. From the start it mowed at 3" when set at 5". I can't use any other height. I stored it inside over the winter. This year it also has a deck that shakes terribly...it may need a belt repair? THe "warranty' center told me I have to make the repairs and/or adjustments myself using my owners manual. Even though this mower had only been used for barely 10 months. Sears has left me high and dry - I will never use Sears again if this is their new policy for supporting customers and their warranties!!!

I hate to tell you but this has been Sears policy for years. Trust me, I use to work at the Parma, Ohio store for a while.

Another intresting note is that on all signing for Sears tractors it clearly states that their tractors carry a "Full 2 Year Warranty" but Sears does not want to back this up at all.

SEARS Delivery Men Stole Money From Home When Delivering Refrigerator

Purchased refrigerator fro SEARS. The delivery men came and when no one was looking stole $500 from my wifes purse. When reported to SEARS they didnt care and weren't helpful in any way. The delivery company XCEL said they invetsigated and the two delivery men said they didnt do it - case closed! Only two people entered my home other than my wife and son entered the home during the period the money went missing - they were the two SEARS delivery men. Following up with SEARS DELIVERY customer service I was put on hold for 30 minutes and then disconnected each time. Never ever got a response. SEARS service and delivery is abismal - do you want your home to be violated???? If NO then dont buy from SEARS

I am so *** angry right now. I just noticed today that while about to play my PS3 one of my videogames was missing, it was Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3.

It came out last year in November. Delivery men from sears came to my house to deliver a new fridge. First time it was 3 hispanics and they dented the fridge while taking it out of the truck so another order was placed. Second delivery comes around now 2 hispanics and one black guy.

My dad and I switched places while watching them. One of them must have gotten a small window of opportunity and stashed it in his pants or something because my tv, ps3, and videogames were in plain sight where the fridge was being put. My parents told me that it was probably tthem because Sears hires low lives to work at a dead beat job delivering things so they probably seize the opportunity to steal when they can since they probably get paid *** That videogame of mine is worth at least 60 bucks and one of them stole it.

I am going to contact sears tomorrow and get to the bottom of this and end this person. Dont steal from people because you didnt have a good education and landed a lame job at sears delivering things to peoples houses.

that's pretty *** dude, sorry to hear that. Have you ever though about suing Sears? Or keep complaining all the way up to Eddie Lampbert who is the CEO?

Sears warrenty run-a-round

I purchased a top of the line pressure washer from Sears about five weeks ago. I have used it only three and one hours total. From the first attempted use it would not keep running. Every 8 to 10 minutes I must pull the cord to start it again. I gave up and attempted to return it ti where I picked it up origionally. After a little help from the employee at the service bay and following all his requests and filling out the required paperwork, I was tole I must take the pressure washer to the service center about 30 miles away. This will be another lost day of work. Sears should stand behind their products after only 3 and one hours of use.

Dont buy Exercise bikes from Sears

Dear customers, I just purchased a NordicTrack recumbent bike(GX4.0) from Sears Roebuck on July 30, 2011 and picked and assembled on Sunday, July 31, 2011. My son, a mechanical engineer assembled the bike for me. I used the bike on Sunday for 45 mins, Monday for 30 mins and then on Tues after 20 mins the belt broke. While NordicTrack is addressing this matter , I am very disappointed with this product. I am very disappointed that Sears would sell such junk . I am hoping that I will not have a problem returning this bike to Sears today and will update this complaint accordingly.

the phonecall and was keep waiting on the phone for over 45 minutes to get someone to answer my question about a manual to repair a weedwacker that was bought at sears,I think this company does not want my money or is not intersted and does not need any more customers,Ialso wonder if the higher ups know about thi is happening or dont care about it,I can tell that I will not buy from this company ever I use to think sears was a company that was honest,This is not the way to treat a customer

why is it when sears delivery calls me the night before informing me that my washer and dryer will be delivered between two and four.Then around seven in the morning i get a call stating that my washer cannot be delivered because its out of stock.How can it be out of stock when i get a call saying its available for delivery.i called that toll free number,talked to someone in taiwan,spoke little english.i cancelled the order.went to lowes,next day delivery.how can sears be number one in appliances with this poor service.

The call at night comes from a call center that is programmed to call you as soon as the purchase is made and you agree on the delivery date. Aowhen the supply truck comes inti the warehouse at 4am is when the delivery service will know what the manufacturer sent so then we call at somewhat reasonable time to inform you. I used to work for the delivery company its a pain in the butt bc all customers are pissed at 7am haha

Sears in Washington, District Of Columbia - Missed appointment then didn't repair made machine worse then before

Today we were scheduled to have our washing machine repaired by SEARS(still under warranty). We were called last night and this morning to remind us of the time. When nobody showed up, I called and they forgot to schedule us. The repair guy was very nice and said they just called him with our info and he would head right over. Because he was new, a more senior repair person came out to check on him. They spent 15 minutes on the machine and 20 minutes telling me how important it is to give them a perfect review. In the end, they said it was not installed properly and they fixed it. Guess what - nothing was fixed. It's worse than ever. I tried it when they left. They didn't even try to run the machine because they would have known they didn't fix anything. Our warranty runs out next week and I just cannot risk taking off another day at work for a no show repair person who can't fix it. They said it was an easy fix but apparently that's not the case. Three appliance we bought last year were broken upon delivery. It took 4 months, speaking to over 40 SEARS employees and 14 appointments and it was still not resolved but we gave up. Now the washing machine is not working and we need someone to help us. Jennifer Mitchell

Sears in Dallas, Texas - Horrific International shipping costs!

Bought 4 small drills for wood. Allin all (including padded envelope) it weight was less than 50 grams. For this Sears took USD 45 to send to Sweden! Actual cost was about USD 7 I guess. I have been in constant contact with the international department of sales and all they can give me is lousy standard answers that dont meet my expectations at all. Differnt people answering my e-mails every time, makes you kind of tired after a while. I shop a lot from the USA and this is the absolutely worst and most expensive company I have ever heard of! Thank You Sears for being the rudest and most expensive company in the States!

Sears actually seems pretty reasonable. UPS would charge $110 to ship that same package.

For the nitwit commenter, $7 price was for the bits not for the shipping. Is is too hard for you understand?

However I do not understand why the OP ordered it before knowing the shipping cost. It is there before you place the order.

On the other side, sears international (even domestic) is a really bad business. They partially cancelled my order and send the trivial part, making me pay the shipping anyways.
