Sears Auto Center refused to do brakes
I had a coupon for $114.99 for brake service (one axle). They required a $15 "inspection" prior to doing any work and came back with a list of things "wrong" with my car and said they can't install new brake pads until I get all those things repaired. I told them I could only afford to fix one thing at a time but the customer service advisor wasn't even listening to what I was trying to tell him and they wouldn't do the brakes so I left without having any work done. I left very disappointed.
Sears is giving me the run around about replacing our t.v.
We purchased a Panisonic 56 inch H.D T.V. in 2007. Since we purchsed the t.v. we have had nothing but problems. We have had 3 bulbs replaced and now the whole chasis went out. We have the chasis sitting in out living room and Sears will not install it becuse they called Panisonic and they both want to just replace the t.v. We have been waiting a month and still no resolution and still no t.v. Sears has lost a life time customer and my next step is contacting my Attorney and the better business bureau.
Sears review in Saint Clair Shores, Michigan: Sold 2006/2007 appliances in 2009, can't get griil now.
In Jan. 2009, I purchased a Kenmore Pro Refrigerator and Freezer for $3,000.00 at Sears in Oakland Mall, in Madison Heights, MI. My contractor preferred that I have all my appliances before they started my construction project. For the last year in a half, I've purchased the Kenmore Pro 3. cook top, 4. dishwasher, 5. double oven, 6. single oven and 7. warming draw totaling $12,000.00. Nevertheless, I've been trying to buy the Kenmore Pro Dual Stainless Steel Grill since March, only to find out that it's discontinued. It was available for purchase on the website until July or shall I say until I complained. After complaining and calling, everyone, I found out the my fridge and freezer is Sears 2006/2007 model. Wow. Unbelievable. I knew it was a problem, because all appliances last a few years and parts and accessories should last longer.
I have been trying to get service out to my house for over three weeks for a Riding Lawn Tractor. The tractor was bought new in March 2010. Since then I have had 1 repair on it and it needs service again. The tractor is under warranty. I call into the customer...
Sears review in Akron, Ohio: Way off on there phone quote for children glasses
I called sears for an estimate with all the info needed to give me a quote over the phone. Glasses for a five year old even prescription info they quoted me at seventy five dollars, then drove all the way there spoke with an associate and they changed there quote to 130 which is way over what i was told on the phone. Sounds like a scam to me or commission issue either way i was peeved for the misleading info and was not pleased with the way I was told it was a mistake. How is it a mistake when all the info was given, even prescription, bull #$%@
Sears:selling 4 year old fridge as new floor model (discounted)
I purchased a side by side refrigerator in August of 2011 (floor model on sale and because it had a couple of small dents on the side and a small area of paint missing I received a further discount). When I got it home I found two more dents on the top of the fridge. While looking for the model and serial number on the fridge I found the manufacturing date; it was built in August of 2008. I went back to the store with this information and asked for a further discount. They stated there was nothing more they could do - they had given me the best price possible. How can they consciously sell an OLD product represented as NEW floor model that has been discounted without conveying this information to the customer? I have been a Sears customer for years; purchased all our major appliances and replacements as well as home and garden products. Another family of customers gone. All pricing aside, this is more about being deceived. What a scam!!!
Sears review in Baltimore, Maryland: Horrible phone warranty support but people in store saved the day
I bought a Kenmore electric range with a glass top, which cracked after four months. Nothing hit it, it just cracked in half by itself. I called the Sears warranty people and was told it was a "thermal crack" and was covered by my one-year warranty. We set up a date for the repair: Thursday between 8 a.m. and noon. I took off work on Thursday and at 15 minutes past noon the repair man called and said it would be $129 for his visit plus $250 for the part. I said it was covered under warranty and he replied "No, 99.9% of the time the crack is the homeowners fault and I am the one who determines fault". I told him to kiss my *** and called the Sears warranty phone people back, asking to speak to a manager. They put me on hold and 50 minutes later I was still on hold, so I hung up. A lady I work with suggested going to a Sears store, and what a great idea it was. They took great care of me: They came and got my stove and installed one without a glass top. I will never buy a glass-top stove again. So glass tops on ranges suck, the Sears phone warranty people are horrible, the Sears repair people are horrible, and the Sears store people are great.
We have a Kenmore upright freezer that stopped working after 2 years. The tech told me it wasn't meant to be in the garage. Really? When we went to buy the unit we told the salesman exactly where it would be placed and exactly why we were buying a new unit. The...
In May 2011, our Kenmore clothes dryer stopped working. We called Sears for service. We were "upsold" a service package that included not only the repair but an extended warranty – something we usually do not purchase. We made it clear when we booked the service, and...
Mattress purchased from Sears
We purchased a Sterns & Foster mattress Nov. 2010 from Sears Dept. Store. The purchase price was over $2,000. In early July I noticed that the side of the mattress was buldging (I have pictures which I sent to Mattress Warranty Exchange and to Corporate office). I was told that it was "normal" wear and tear. I have had it only 9 months and I have a 10 year warranty. I sent in the ridiculous claim form along with photos and was told we were denied! Ok, so I complained, called several numbers and one day out of the blue they told me that our claim was reviewed by a Dept. manager and we would be getting a replacement. Wonderful!! Ok, here is the status. It is now mid-August and have already had 2 delivery dates canceled at the last minute because the mattress they had at the warehouse was dirty and did we still want it?! Huh?? No, I don't want a dirty mattress! Both canceled dates were because they had a dirty mattress. Now, my new delivery date is August 26. Let's just see if they have another dirty mattress - - I'm sure it is the same mattress - if it exists at all. We have had to *** work and stick around waiting and changing plans last minute. I'm pissed!! I have dealt with Sears for over 40 years and I will never buy even a paper clip from them again! I hope it gets resolved within my 10 year warranty. Sucks!! Going to Sterns and Foster and then to Better Business Bureau!
