Sears

My LG washer that I bought from Sears only 1 1/2 years ago started acting up (could not be turned on unless I unplugged unit and plugged it back in). Fortunately, so I thought, I had purchased a Sears protection agreement. A technician came in and diagnosed that the board was bad and ordered the parts. We had to wait 10 days for the next appointment, only to be told when the technician came in that the motor apparently was bad and new parts had to be ordered. This time the earliest date they had was 2 weeks later! We have two young kids (one is a toddler) at home. Anyone with kids knows that one month without a washer is a major problem! With a protection plan I expect a certain level of competence and more importantly expect fast repairs not two week wait times each time a technician comes in!

Sears in Morton, Illinois - Horrible Customer Service

HORRIBLE customer service. was told one thing at noon, and at 10pm I get an email saying sorry they couldn't do that. (it was about returning an item). I'd have to drive AN HOUR to return it. Really!?!? After three calls, three emails and one chat session I am STILL on hold at almost 11pm. Finally another 'manager' comes on and does nothing but read off of a script. Nothing they can do even though in their system it states they were to have UPS pick it up..... I refuse to BUY ANYTHING AT this place again! I was also told, "you can return it to ANY sears stores." but the small one in my town won't take it back either....*** sears!

Sears in Chatsworth, California - Repairman inept.

I needed repairs on my Sears refrigerator. I let the person setting up the appointment, know the refrig. may have to be moved, to repair it. She added that to the order for the repairman. They sent a non sears repairman. When he arrived he informed me if the refrig. needed to be moved. I would have to do it. Do they hire the mentally challanged? I am a 70 yr. old woman. They are, or I thought they were trained professionals. I have been using sears for 50 yr. They are not like they use to be. Too Bad!

Sears Repair

SEARS Repeatedly fails to deliver appliance as scheduled.

Don't RISK giving SEARS your business!!! Struggling desperately to get SEARS to deliver & install range (in stock) on an order from 6wks ago. REPEATEDLY rescheduled and not delivered. NO calls even to alert us that it won't be installed that day. We initiate the follow-up. SEARS REPEATEDLY "needs to look into it and will call us back." SEARS NEVER calls us back. Reps have been unprofessional & disinterested. They point blame towards other departments in SEARS. Nobody holds themselves accountable. They rush you off the phone. SEARS has had our $ for 6wks and still no range!!! Would cancel the order but want THIS range and haven't yet found it elsewhere.

Sears in Greenville, Texas - Will not return my money

I purchased a drum set on line from Sears.com. I realized after I pushed the go button that I had the wrong zip code. This was suppose to be a Christmas gift from Santa. I immediately called and asked if they could correct the problem. Of course I was told "NO" they couldn't do anything except cancel the order. Now I wish I would have. Long story short, got the drum set, and wasn't what we expected. So went to UPS to sent the drum set back to Sears.com. That was done on the 17th of January. I have sent them the tracking number, they have confirmed that they have it.... I still have not received my money back. I will never purchase anything from Sears.com again.

wow! Sorry to hear that?

When did Sears claim they received the item back in their warehouse? Did you pay with pay pal by chance?

If so it can take 2 to three weeks for your return to show other wise it will take 7 to 10 business days from the date is was received and checked in. (if paid with cc)...good luck with that!

Sears in Fall River, Massachusetts - Brand new snowthrower broke for second time 2 week wait to fix for second time

My Brand new snow thrower I bought at sears and purchased the service agreement is now broken for the second time. The thing that has me pissed off is each time I have had to wait two week to have them come out to repair it. I live in New England we have received a lot of snow this winter (which is why I purchased a snow thrower in the first place). I have had to shovel my two car wide 200 ft drive way with small parking lot by hand or borrow a snow thrower from a friend. This will be the last Sears purchase for me (it is where I have shopped for everything). Can someone recommend a good alternative like home depot or anyplace else?

Cannot deliver at planned time, only when convenient for sears

Sears sucks. They call to arrange delivery time within 2 hour window. Then call to say they can't make it for another hour. Then call to say can't make it for an hour or 2. When arranging delivery, you select the day, they select the time. If they miss the time they then select day and time regardless of convenience. Over the past years we've dealt with Sears without the hassle and repetition they now require. It seems they forget how to treat a paying customer. This will definitely be my last involvement with Sears and their sorry service.

Sears in Baltimore, Maryland - Absolutely Rotten and Unresponsive Service

One week ago we got a new Sears refrigerator. After they installed it, we found out the ice maker did not work! Okay, "stuff happens." I'll keep this short and sweet, Sears repair service department stinks big time. They are not helpful, they give you the run around and when they do schedule someone to come out they don't show up and they do not have the courtesy to call they were not coming. We waited all day and evening no repair person. I will never ever recommend nor buy any Sears appliance. They are not reliable. Buyer beware.

that's very disappointing. i'm a salesperson for somewhere *cough* and I suggest you actually go talk to the salesperson that sold it to you.

From my experience Its actually not that hard to fix an issue like this, and my customers actually understand that *** happens.

Ask about a phone number called ONCESOURCE to set up an exchange with the same fridge. I'm honestly surprised they wanted service out there if you only had it for a day....

I purchased a Samsung upright dryer in April, 2009. The heating element just died after 1 year, 9 months of usage. Sears refused to repair the dryer at no cost. The dryer cost $1000 at time of purchase when I also bought a Samsung upright washer. The washer was...

I am with you. SAMSUNG is DAMDONE. Our one year old driver won't heat either, and the *** that says you have to get an extended warranty to for something that should at least work for 5 years without issue is just a plain ***. All I will say to you is your the type of customer that causes companies to think they can get away with this ***. They lower expectations of the customer base in order to make money, this is a fowl practice and won't work as long as I and the guy that started this thread join class action lawsuits as I will on this dryer.

The class-action on samsung dryers already exist, and I am going to find somewhere else to purchase my new dryer since I am going to poor concrete in this one year old dryer and put it on my land on the main highway with a sign stating what this dryer did and samsungs response being f-off.

You ***-lesswonder.

Sears.com: The Single Most Abysmal Customer Experience Ever

We ordered a clothes dryer from them entirely because they offer to alter the venting location for free (it won't fit in our laundry room otherwise). I followed up after the order both by email and phone in the next two days to ensure it was written properly on the order - I have written confirmation that yes, it is noted. We picked it up and lo' and behold, it was not vented properly. Eight days later, having talked on the phone every one of them for 1-3 hours (no exaggeration there...), getting conflicting information, hearing "It's not our fault", and being transferred every 10 minutes, I finally get someone who makes arrangements to have it picked up and taken to a warehouse to be fixed. We're told it will be 3-4 business days before we get it back. Fantastic! Five business days of our dryer sitting in a warehouse somewhere awaiting venting with no communication, and I'm fed up again. I called and was made aware they hadn't started work because we hadn't bought them the conversion kit to do the work with. She then said we would need to buy the kit, drive it the warehouse, then they would vent it. I asked how this could possibly be, as they not only still offer venting as a free service when you order the item on sears.com, but that it says it will be done right on my order. She replied "Oh. Well, I'll bring this up with my supervisor tomorrow morning and you'll get a call to schedule re-delivery." I asked if I can expect a call from her or her supervisor to follow up, and she said "probably not. You might get a call from customer care in a few days." My assumption is that she will not mention it to her supervisor, so I'll be calling again today if I want my dryer back before I run out of clean clothes. I'm hoping I get someone on the line who cares, but I'm not holding my breath.
