Sears Price Protection Policy

Sears Holding Company called today and agreed that they had made a mistake. They promptly refunded the $385.00 as per their Price Adjustment Policy. Don't ask you don't get. We asked and they responded as per their own policy. Recommend everyone who has a problem simply email smsupport@searshc.com. I assure you they will help and you won't be pulling your hair out after 90 minutes of frustrating phone time. We couldn't be happier with the fact that they responded so fast but also, they fixed our issue quickly. It helps to get to the right folks.

Don't do business with Sears

I am another consumer caught in Sears limbo. Our hot water heater decided to give up the ghost on Christmas. I immediately got online and ordered a replacement with expedited delivery. The water heater was supposed to arrive yesterday. Emphasis on "supposed". I took the day off work to wait for the water heater that never arrived. After approximately 12 phone calls (including being transferred to the same departments a few times) and waiting on hold for at least 10 minutes with each transfer, I was finally able to find out that my water heater wasn't delivered because it was out of stock. Wouldn't it have been more efficient to update the website to reflect that and offer other in-stock choices? Anyway, since the order is still "processing" (even though my bank account was promptly debited for the entire purchase price plus $142 for expedited shipping), I cannot get a refund. The status will change only when the water heater is restocked. Who in h*** knows when that will be? So, here I sit….no hot water heater, no money to buy another one until Sears gives me my money back. To save time, I opened a dispute with PayPal. I may see my money in 30 days. The silver lining is I have very nice neighbors who are allowing me to use their shower and I have wised up to never doing business with Sears again. Everyone else would be smart to do the same.

I went to sears to buy a mattress/box spring that I saw in their flier. The flier indicated that any mattress/box spring over $599 would include free delivery. I picked out a mattress/box spring and paid for it and noticed that they werent giving me free delivery. ...

Bought a mattress and box spring from them a few years back and after we slept in it a few months it started sinking in the middle. Was suspicious of their drivers who delivered after they asked for the plastic cover back to cover the old mattress which was very clean and looked good.

Saw add in local paper for same mattress sold cheap as new right after. I am wondering if I got swapped on the new one I purchased.

I will never buy another from Sears again and will let out the word.

Sears in Modesto, California - Nothing gets done through customer service

Sears is slipping and I don't think they care. They give you a phone number to call for problems and if you call one it is people from other countries that don't know how to take care of your problems. The other number at least the lady I talked to sounds like she is from America and can handle my complaints. But nothing was done to take care of my problem and as long as Sears takes care of their customers this way I hope some day people quit doing business with you. Thank You, No need in leaving my name because to sears it doesn't make any difference.

How do you expect sears to help the customer when they don't even stand behind their employees!

You never said what the problem was that you had. Sadly everyone outsources to other countries for first level of support.

If you really want to reach someone who talks English call the main switchboard in Chicago.

They have a real operator. (847) 286-2500

Sears Stinks

Sears has gone to ***. I ordered a TV on Dec. 15th and have been working everyday. I finally had time to check on the order and guess what? They don't have the TV and will never have it at the price it was advertised. They didn't think I was worth an email or a call in this matter. I tried to get another TV and the same thing happened. They advertise a great deal but don't have it. This time I called the stores and found out that none of them had them in stock. Isn't this illegal or something? Bait and switch for sure. I'm closing my account there and will never shop there again. They really stink!

Customer since 1979.

That is what my credit card with $9800 limit on it says..

I have been a loyal customer, but no more. I wonder how many more there are like me.

I Would have guessed it would be cheaper to retain customers than to look for new ones.

Problems with Kenmore Elite Ht4 and Dryer HE within weeks of warranty expiration. Two service calls later installing parts never needed and still not fixing the problems I had to put my feet down when they wanted to replace a circuit board for $700 for parts and $150 labor. Total cost $900.

I had this washer sitting in my garage all these year finally decided to do something about it.

There are THOUSAND of complaints on the same appliances all over the internet as well as a fix.

I placed a call to Sears and now the part is down to $200 for the board. There is really nothing wrong with the boards other than one or two bad solder joints.

I fixed it myself with a replacement board for $89 bucks.

As for Sears complaint lines... DOn't even bother

You will have them

1-Put you on indefinite (punitive) hold

2-Ridicule you

3-Refuse to allow you to talk to the supervisor

4-Hang up on you.

Try getting to someone at the corporate. Good luck with that!

They have no idea how customer complaints are being dealt with.

I will not ever set foot in a Sears storre the rest of my life.

Sears in Chicago, Illinois - Sear has horrible deliver and installation of appliances

Five years ago we bought a washer, dryer, and fridge. Sears delivery men spent forever hooking up washer and dryer and did not seem to know what they were doing then told me the fridge we ordered was too big and would not even try to install. Later my husband rescheduled the fridge delivery and it fit perfect but by then all our food had spoiled. Our washer recently broke and we bought from sears again. They came to deliver on christmas eve and could not unhook old one due to it being installed inproperly the first time. They offered the little in the way of apology and said they would send a skinny installation man today who could fit behind it to unhook the old machine. A call from Sears last night confirmed they would be at our place between 7 and 9. My husband stayed home from working waiting and no one came. After talking with 2 customer service people and a manager we are no farther along. They claim there was no appointment made. apparently the computer makes the appointments and they cannot be over ridden. So why were we promised this appointment last friday and had a call last night to confirm it? Now we are told they will send someone tomorrow. They refused to give us any discount but offered a 10% off coupon on our next purchase with them. Seriously????? I would never purchase from Sears again. I'd rather wash my clothes the old fashion way then buy from them. Anyone looking for appliances I recommend you stay away from Sears. Go to Abt or another appliance store if you want it done right!

back in the mid 1970's Sears was charged by feds for taking advantage of customers for brake jobs and other parts they didnt really need but preyed on the older people. Sears had to give each customer $50 in automotive care...wow..I would have went to prison...anyhow I havent bought ONE thing from Sears since the mid 70's and never will.

I just spent 20 minutes on hold in order to get transferred to a supervisor. All I needed was a phone # to billing and they all said they don't have their own billing dept.'s phone #.

Unbelievable.

I'm sure I wasn't even talking to a supervisor, but rather another phone handler in the cubical next to the first one. Sears has horrible customer service!

Sears Warranty Problems

I bought a Kenmore Grill 5/8/2008 for $400 on sale. The burners have a 10 year warranty, "replaced free of charge". The warranty does say that labor is not covered. My burners rusted through and Sears now require a service call $100 to verify they are burned through. It is an easy part I plan on replacing myself. The part lists for $9.56. So much for replacement warranty. It will be the last appliance I ever buy from sears. As a 50+ year old home owner I had been a loyal customer that they lost for stupidity.

I bought a new grill in 2007. I paid $1300.00 for a Kenmore Elite 5 burner, 2 infared burners and side burner.

The Stainless steel burner tubes rusted out/ split and they also wanted to charge $100.00 for a service call to examine the defective parts. Same run around as the above stories described. This is a total scam! :( I have tried to find out what manufacture built this equipment so I could by-pass the crooks @ Sears but I haven't had any luck.

No wonder companies fail!

By the way my parts cost $22.00 ea. and there is 5 !

I too bought a Sears Grill a few years ago Only I spent over $600 on a Kenmore Elite model. Same "10 year warrant" on the burners.

Same run around on needing to send a service technician to verify the burners had indeed disintigrated. $100 minimum trip charge and no, they would not order the parts - only the technician could and no they would not accept pictures or even the defective part sent to them or brought to a service center.

This type of "service" is just another reason Sears is in decline. Stay away from any appliance at Sears if you ever want any service on it.

Sounds like to me you should have checked out the merchandise prior to purchase $tup!d on your part. Don't blame Sears for your shortcommings.

Sears

I had a layaway at Sears. I went online and made my payments on time and always payed more than what was due at each time. Well I made my scheduled payment on 12/11/10 for 3.08. On 12/14/10 I see Sears took an additional 20.00 from my bank. I called Sears and explained my situation and they told me to contact the store that when my layaway is paid I would go there and pick up my item. Well I contacted the store and they say they show nothing about a 20.00 transaction and told me to call the internet department. I called the internet department and they told me to call this number. I called this number and they told me to call another number, so in all I called 7 different numbers and got no where. You would figure in this day and time when the economy is so poor and retailers are going out of business that retailers would cherish the customers who do business at their stores. I will never shop at Sears or any of Sears Holding again!!! You lost a customer who's family has shopped at Sears for over 50 years for 20.00. What a way to keep a customer!!!!

@Boston Bill.... I am very serious, I will never shop there again.

Yes over 20.00. First its not the banks responsibility to correct negligence on Sears part. Its Sears responsibilty to correct this issue. I talked with the Store manager and he said there is nothing he can do because its an internet transaction which I understand.

It is now 12/28 and I have gotten no where with Sears. I contacted Sears internet department at 10:30am and they said they couldn't look into my account because their system is updating. They took my number and said they would call me back when its done updating. So its now 2:00pm called back got the same response.

I waited..OK.. Its now 6:12pm just got off the phone with Sears and got the same response. It takes 8 hours to update a system??? C'mon.

I'm done with Sears!!!! I will buy my tools at Lowe's for now on.

Be real

Your not going to shop there over 20.00?

I dont think Sears would allow that.

I have seen Sears go out of thier way to fix an issue like your besuides your bank would fix that easy...

Talk to the store manager with out being upset I am sure he/she would help...

Did you ever get anything resolved? That should not go on. That is NOT OK, and you should have to experience that, from anyone.

Do you have an attorney? Cause I do now, and as a matter of fact, because of this company, I just recently got an upgrade in my account, AND my money back. I swear this on my life.

I work for prepaid legal. Not sure if you've ever heard of them, but I not only receive their service for Legal help, but now I work for them and I couldn't be more satisfied.

Here, this is my website. My name is Amber Jenkins.

This is my PERSONAL email address also if you my have some questions or are a little skeptical, which of course is normal. But please look into it, companies like this need to be brought to a skreetching halt. NOW... God Bless and Happy Holidays.
