Trying to get in touch with Sears delivery was a nightmare
I ordered a mattress and box spring from Sears on cyber Monday. There was no option for in store pick-up on these particular items; therefore, I had to have them delivered. It was nearly $20.00 cheaper to have them delivered to my Dad's address than to my own(I live in a rural area)so I had the items delivered there. I subsequently realized(duh)that I would spend at least $20.00 in gas to transport them from my father's house to my house, so I spent 2 HOURS on my day off attempting to explain all of this to various people in Bangladesh(?)who kept connecting me to the NEXT person in Bangladesh seemingly ad infinitum until I reached a very helpful young Bangladeshi who absolutely ASSURED me that he had taken care of changing the delivery address. The mattress and box spring arrived, on schedule, to MY FATHER'S ADDRESS!!
There is no customer service at sears, period
everyone i know never shops there, I did the mistake of going today to look how i can order a part for a tractor, lawn cutter i unfortunately had bought from them, waisted an hour with them while they looked from person to person to see who had to reluctantly come and try answering my questions, to then tell me they dont know how to get the part, or how long it would take, basically they told me go look it up yourself,find out how to order it yourself then come back here to pick it up at sears, wish i never went there
Sears customer service is Terrible
I have placed two diff orders for the same item and have both been messed up not by me by sears, one small item and they can't seem to get it right. Sear Customer service is Terrible it seems when you call to Complain about any service no matter how big or small they act like it is no big deal, it's just we are sorry so we made a mistake deal with it, PLEASE you are customer service and you are supposed want to please you customers so they keep coming back to your store, very disappointed.
Sears in San Juan, San Juan Municipio - Shameful Customer Service
Have been waiting for a repair person for over 2 months. Today, December 10, 2010, I had an appointment, but after the service technician called me and made me stay home to wait for him, they all of a sudden cancelled my appointment!!!! Shame on you!!! Do you people think we have all day just to wait for you!!! This is the 3rd $%#%#$%#$% time they've done this!!! And what's really sad, nobody gives a @%^$ about it!!! SHAME ON SEARS SERVICE. This is the 4th time I have requested service for this equipment, and they say that in order to be covered by the LEMON LAW, all 4 repairs have to be within the same year. With this type of service, I'll never get the service I paid for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE, BBB SHOULD HAVE A LOOK AT THIS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sears in Sequim, Washington - Canceled credit card
We received a letter from sears saying they had canceled our credit card.I called sears accounting and was told my credit score had changed and they canceled our card.Now mind you we were not late with any payments and our account was up to date.I even ask the gal I spoke with if we ever had any late payments and was told no. We had been a Sears consumer for over 25 years and had spent 1000's of dollars with them even with there products declining in quality (ALOT). Since, we have payed off our account (we did make sure we had a few late payments to make us feel better)and have never set foot in there stores since and never will. So to shoppers of sears beware,Sears has no loyalty to there consumer's.
SEARS.COM rip off
I bought a GAS oven from SEARS.COM they sent an electric...when I called to correct the problem,they agreed to the change then billed me an additional 180.94 on top of the original 365.14..they said they 'd deliver the new oven and pick up the wrong one on the 20th..I took the day off ,and at the end of the day ...SEARS called to "schedule" my delivery for the next 2 weeks !!! I refused told them to come get the electric and just refund my money. they said "no one was available" so I took their *** oven to rhe clsest sears...since then SEARS has refunded the original price but refuses to refund the 2nd payment of 180.94...no matter how many calls I make they just put me on hold til my phone dies.
Sears in Johnstown, Pennsylvania - Won't help me with broken brand new oven
bought an oven from sears. It does not work. I have been trying to exchange/repair it for 4 weeks. I had to call back several times to even set up an appt for repair because their systems is 'down.' Finally, I get in touch, set up a repair date, and they cancel. I call back, and they cannot get a tech out here for repair until 3+ weeks from now. They refuse to exchange it until we wait those 3 weeks and have a repair man sign off on it. I decided to just return it and buy an oven somewhere else, but they cannot tell me if they will charge me for the return, because their system is 'down,' again.
Sears in Roy, Utah - Worst shopping experience EVER
First problem - ordered a birthday gift for my daughter. In store pickup, store has it in stock. On pickup day I get billed for the wrong item. I call the store, and they are holding the wrong item. Sears / Kmart doesn't keep UPC codes straight across a lot of similar items, I was told by store clerk. End result, went to Walmart, item was in stock and $3 cheaper. Second - ordered a video game for a gift. Preordered, was told my card wouldn't be billed until the item shipped. I was billed two full weeks before it shipped, and then the item shipped on the day it was supposed to be DELIVERED. Long story short, I was billed early, item is going to arrive over a week late, and the best I was offered was a %10 refund on a $100 item. In the meantime, everyone else who ordered the game elsewhere are playing it already. Another birthday gift ruined. Thanks, Sears! I won't ever shop with you again.
Sears in Tarkio, Missouri - Poor installation and customer service
I bought a garage door opener and installation at Sears in Jefferson City, Mo on Nov. 12, 2010. The installer did not install a new chain, frame, and linkage. He used my old ones, in which he took with him. The safety sensors were improperly installed on top of the unit near the ceiling. He stated that would cost an additional $40.00. My garage door would not close. When a finally got another technician to come out a week later all he could do is tell me it was improperly installed. Week three into this fiasco after multiple attempts in calling their "customer service" I spoke with the store's manager. Nothing was ever fixed. A week later I ask for my money back and disinstall the half of the product and the manager at the local Sears in Jefferson City, Jay, was very rude. He kept my receipt and I had to call Jefferson City Police dept to retrieve it. Customer service is a JOKE at Sears! I will no longer ever shop at a Sears, KMart, American Eagle ever again and I will make sure that I spread the word so no one else becomes a victim of their horrible service!

Sears is the worst retail store I ever dealt with as far as service goes. I went to buy an Nordictrack machine and first the service rep said it was in stock. Then he called me later in the day to say it was in invetory and I need to pick it up. I said OK. A week later I go to pick it up and it was not ordered. So I cancelled the deal. I was also having trouple with a dish washer mashine I had bought from Sears and the service guy did not know what he was doing. I fix the problem myself. Do not do business with this Co. Ever since Kmart merged with them they went down hill. Cancell your sears cards......
