Sears has yet to replace a part on my lawnmower

About 2 months ago I took my high edge trimmer in to have a part that needed to be replaced fixed. I was told to bring on a Tuesday and my trimmer would be sent back by the following Tuesday. My trimmer was returned with an incorrect part and I could not use my trimmer to mow my grass, the part they replaced was an incorrect size, being too small, so I sent it back again and waited another week and the trimmer was sent back with some other part replacement that I did not even ask for. I talked to the manager who happens to be a young kid and he said He would order the part himself and would replace the part there at the main store, this was about a month ago and last week I went to check on the progress of my mower and nothing had been done, so I went back yesterday 7/19/2010 and talked to an associate (the manager was not in) and he said the part had not been ordered yet, and that His boss said it would have to be sent off again, is this not a bunch of BS, in the mean time my yard is overgrown and I still have no mower!! Thank alot Sears, I'll be sure to pass along what a poor lack of communication your associates express among their co-workers and other departments!

Don't depend on Seard deliver people to be able to do any adjustments on appliances. They are deliver people and noit technical at all.

Wait a day and call for a correction. It is free anyway.

Sears Home Repairs Has No Customer Service

Yesteday, I got online and set up an appointment with Sears to have them come out and look at my refrigerator that was not keeping anything cold. I got a confirmation number for repair to be done today between 1 and 5. At 5:15 I called to find out what was going on to be told that I was only given that appointment because they were trying to squeeze me in and that they would not be out today. I took off a whole day of work for this. Then I was told they could not do anything for me and the next appointment they could schedule was in 10 days. Yeah, I think I want to use this company for repairs when they can't even give me good customer service. NOT!!!

Also A&E Appliance is the same as Sears repair which most people don't even know. They are both ran by the same people.

Also Kenmore is made by Whirlpool now. Another thing most of the public does not know.

I work for them and I know this happens all the time and when I fight to do something about the lack of customer service I fear I will get fired.

I am having a similar problem with my washing machine. Recently I was duped into buying a maintenance agreement but when I needed sevice I only got appointments that were not kept.

The phone reps are very polite but can only read the same response, over and over. I will not deal with Sears again.

Sears has very poor service and marginal products

My wife and I purchased a refrigerator, stove, and range hood from Sears while remodeling our kitchen. We hadn't shopped at Sears let alone bought anything from them for nearly fifteen years due to the pushy techniques and aggressive selling of extended warranties. These appliances were high end stainless steel with the latest technology. What a disappointment! In less than a year the refrigerator malfunctioned. The light melted the interior components, the seals on the freezer leak, handles constantly loosen, retention catches to hold the door closed snapped off.......and yes......the temperature fluctuated to the point where we lost some hundreds of dollars of food. The service people were as dysfunctional as the refrigerator as it took weeks and multiple calls to even get a person to admit that " that model had an isolated problem and a recall notice had been issued". We dealt with a clownish unprofessional repairman who argued with us about the warranty, then ordered $1000.00 worth of parts without ever saying what was wrong. We eventually just asked the repairman to leave after he told me that I would have to pull the refrigerator out and swing it around so he could "Do a diagnostic". We used a cooler on the floor for our "cold" foods. A second repairman was sent out and only partially fixed the problems then instructed us on how to report the broken door latches as they weren't covered under the warranty so we wouldn't have to pay for it. In other words, instructing us how to lie and cheat to get the needed repairs. One of the parts didn't ship and we were consequently told when it came in to just put it in the refrigerator. The parts for repair were shipped to our home without our consent and we were told to check the shipment when it arrived to " make sure it all shipped". I nor my wife will ever buy anything from Sears again. In fact, I make it a practice to tell our story to as many people as I can in order to save them the poor service, marginal products, and grieve we went through. Oh, yes, the range hood broke twice but I fixed it myself because even though I don't know anything about range hoods, it was much easier and quicker to do it myself.

Sears is fraud because last year they had a promo which promised to give customers $50 in rebates if they buy $50 or more in Dockers men slacks. I bough $65 in Dockers pants. I mailed the rebate request as required but never got my $50. When I called Sears they said...

We bought a reconditioned refridgerator from Sears Outlet in Millipetas, CA in Feb 2010. We accepted that it was a reconditoned model and was under Sears warranty for 12 months. We paid for delivery. It arrived at our home, with mold in the freezer. The freezer broke...

Bought a refrigerator from Sears outlet that was returned and tested. That was 20 years ago and it's doing great.

Bought a new Electrolux French door new from sears (very expensive): had the control panel replaced; ice machine broke; and now only the freezer works (the refrigerator is 60 deg.) and it's only 9 years old... So now we Just bought a "returned and tested" Samsung french door and bought the extended warranty.

We will see how this one does (it looked and smelled new; still has all the plastic protection on the inside, etc. Had a ding or two on the front (stainless), but that is OK with me.

As a person that deals with sears daily I agree with you about the music.. It sucks so bad even satan would beg for mercy.

elevator music is better. A lot of sears repairmen are underpaid and overworked like many of us are. The company standards for them change all the time. They are required to sell stuff(service plans, cleaners.

etc..) for sears and if they don't they can get in trouble. Your comments also decide if a repairmen gets to keep his job or not. Always remember when you are called or go online to do your repair survey you are rating only the repairman that came to your home. Not your overall rotten experiance you had trying to get him out there in the first place.

Your comments can cause a repairman to get fired or not get a deserved raise. If the repairman does a great job then tell him/her and also call it into his local office. Getting a repairman mad at you is not good either as they talk to each other about calls and poor cust attitude might lead to a less experienced repairman being sent to your home. Anytime you feel a call is taking to long to get service or get repaired call the manufacturer of the appliance.

You the cust have way more pull than say the repairman does in getting things done faster. So in otherwords not all the fault should be placed on the repairman.

New computer systems and poor cust service are slowing down and making a good repairmans job harder. Sears is trying to come into the 21st century but is doing so without the proper training for their employees.

Sears in Sewell, New Jersey - Sear's Optical is the Wost!!!

I went to Sear's Optical to get a pair of eyeglasses and a pair of sunglasses on 6/13/10. As of 7/5/10, I still did not have my glasses. The store manager and staff were very unprofessional and unknowledgeable. Sear's Optical had no idea when my glasses would be finished, and they are probably still waiting. It was the worst experience getting eyeglasses in my life. Long story short, I got a refund from Sear's Optical and went to Lenscrafters. My glasses arrived in 5 days. Never ever use Sear's Optical because they are the worst.

I agree! Sears Optical is the worst!

Never use them. Because they are independent they take breaks when they want and once I went there and there was a sign that said "be back at 11:30) not even lunch time! Why should a customer have to wait?

He came back with coffee and talking on the cell phone, finished his conversation before helping me. They make promises they can't keep, the frame stock is poor and they could not replace my frames!

Ya there owned by same company but they have regional managers but most of them are useless because most have no optical experience. The one I was told is in Rochester NY where they filled an expired prescription and they never said a word.

I have been very disappointed with Sears Optical and have switched to JC Penny. When you try to call Sears Optical your call gets transfered to a voice mail for employees calling in sick or late to work.

Sears employees are aware of this problem, but do nothing about it. Staff is less than professional

Sears eye glasses

it took 3 months to get my $965.00 glasses from Sears. No one at their "lab" could find out where or when they would be ready, finally found out the frames were on backorder but no one knew it! then after receiving them they were scratched. The Company Distric Mgr. offered my money back and $50.00 in gift cards. I asked for a letter of apology and that is whe she said I did not offer you that - you pick one or the other! but you need to return the glasses if you want the refund - I could have stopped the order at any time - heck I wanted my glasses. They had my money for 3 months! still pissed off! will not buy from Sears again...
