As a person that deals with sears daily I agree with you about the music.. It sucks so bad even satan would beg for mercy.

elevator music is better. A lot of sears repairmen are underpaid and overworked like many of us are. The company standards for them change all the time. They are required to sell stuff(service plans, cleaners.

etc..) for sears and if they don't they can get in trouble. Your comments also decide if a repairmen gets to keep his job or not. Always remember when you are called or go online to do your repair survey you are rating only the repairman that came to your home. Not your overall rotten experiance you had trying to get him out there in the first place.

Your comments can cause a repairman to get fired or not get a deserved raise. If the repairman does a great job then tell him/her and also call it into his local office. Getting a repairman mad at you is not good either as they talk to each other about calls and poor cust attitude might lead to a less experienced repairman being sent to your home. Anytime you feel a call is taking to long to get service or get repaired call the manufacturer of the appliance.

You the cust have way more pull than say the repairman does in getting things done faster. So in otherwords not all the fault should be placed on the repairman.

New computer systems and poor cust service are slowing down and making a good repairmans job harder. Sears is trying to come into the 21st century but is doing so without the proper training for their employees.

Sears in Sewell, New Jersey - Sear's Optical is the Wost!!!

I went to Sear's Optical to get a pair of eyeglasses and a pair of sunglasses on 6/13/10. As of 7/5/10, I still did not have my glasses. The store manager and staff were very unprofessional and unknowledgeable. Sear's Optical had no idea when my glasses would be finished, and they are probably still waiting. It was the worst experience getting eyeglasses in my life. Long story short, I got a refund from Sear's Optical and went to Lenscrafters. My glasses arrived in 5 days. Never ever use Sear's Optical because they are the worst.

I agree! Sears Optical is the worst!

Never use them. Because they are independent they take breaks when they want and once I went there and there was a sign that said "be back at 11:30) not even lunch time! Why should a customer have to wait?

He came back with coffee and talking on the cell phone, finished his conversation before helping me. They make promises they can't keep, the frame stock is poor and they could not replace my frames!

Ya there owned by same company but they have regional managers but most of them are useless because most have no optical experience. The one I was told is in Rochester NY where they filled an expired prescription and they never said a word.

I have been very disappointed with Sears Optical and have switched to JC Penny. When you try to call Sears Optical your call gets transfered to a voice mail for employees calling in sick or late to work.

Sears employees are aware of this problem, but do nothing about it. Staff is less than professional

Sears eye glasses

it took 3 months to get my $965.00 glasses from Sears. No one at their "lab" could find out where or when they would be ready, finally found out the frames were on backorder but no one knew it! then after receiving them they were scratched. The Company Distric Mgr. offered my money back and $50.00 in gift cards. I asked for a letter of apology and that is whe she said I did not offer you that - you pick one or the other! but you need to return the glasses if you want the refund - I could have stopped the order at any time - heck I wanted my glasses. They had my money for 3 months! still pissed off! will not buy from Sears again...

Sears sold me a defective gas range

Shortly after I bought a new kenmore gas range from Sears the control panel clock display went bad. Sears has since replaced the control panel twice and each of the replacement panels has also been defective. Now they say it is not their problem since the warranty has now expired. I paid close to $1700.00 for this range. Sears attitude seems to be to string the customer along until the warranty expires and then they leave the customer holding the bag. The whole Sears experience is a joke. After they make the sale they could care less about their customers. I lost a total of 3 days of work waiting for their repair people to show up.

Sears service is a total rip off

I bought a refrigerator from Sears with a 5 yr onsite warranty. They promised 24 hour delivery. Warranty had $500 spoiled food insurance, guaranteed replacement w/3 problems in a year, and 24 hour service. It took 4 weeks to deliver, was installed wrong, and broke 4 times in the first year. We lost $1000 in food. It took 6 weeks for a technician to show up to fix it. The store couldn't help, they never paid the food claim, and I hired a local appliance repair company to fix. Sears is a ripoff. They didn't post my complaint on their consumer blog website.

I'm right there with you. 5 repairs on the same appliance (fridge freezer) now I have a freezer full of thawed food, with the 6th sears repaire man in my kitechen as we speak.

I am in total house renovations and I can tell you...The Sears of years ago, is not the sears of Today. I will never purchase another appliance large or small from Sears

The things you claim are not the way the protection agreement reads. You might want to look at your paperwork a little closer.

Sears Won't Repair Recalled Refrigerator "Kenmore Elite Trio" $2000 unit!

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission issued a recall in June 2005 for condensor units blowing out as fire hazards. No one from Sears notified me of this, even though the refrigerator was registered and under warranty. Sears performed other repairs 2006-2007 and didn't mention the recall. Sure enough, the condensor fan just blew and almost started a fire ~ and now Sears won't come out to repair it for 8 days!!! This is a $2000 refrigerator, not even five years old. Recall information here: http://www.cpsc.gov/cpscpub/prerel/prhtml05/05213.html This is ridiculous.

Ice Maker defect causes mother board to get burned out and has to be replaced every year that you own it.

Expect $500 every year out of your pocket. It's a lemon with a defect and it costs you!

Sears in Dallas, Texas - Basically preys on their customers

I have purchased a freezer about 2 yr ago, never missed or late on payments. I then had to buy a dishwasher, microwave and new refidgerator all within about a month of each other. Sears charged me for two refridgerators plus the delivery fee. They then contacted me for being over my credit limit. I had to go down to the store which is 20 mi away, try and get a manager who wouldn't hide from me (no one was available).I then recontacted customer service who assured me that all was well and the credit had been made to my statement. Well they had credited my statement and lowered my available credit by 1kfor being over my limit. I will close my account and not do business with this company nor encourage anyone else to support them.

I bought Bridgestone tires, they became noisy and were returned per authorization from Bridgestone. Replacement tires, I was to pay 25% of retail per Bridgestone tech services dept.

Sears states "their accounting system was unable to allow this type of transaction"..sears would not honor the Bridgestone warrenty as described by Bridgestone..Sears accounting system cost me an extra $200 and cost Sears a loyal customer of 40 years. Beware of becoming a Sears customer and expect to be treated as an individual--its you against this BILLION DOLLAR giant

The blame here is not with the store side of Sears but their Sears credit cards which are operated by Citibank. They are ***.

I got a Sears card to buy some tires for my car. They had a special promotion where I got 10% off for using my card, which is why I got the card to begin with.

2 months go by and no credit card or statement in the mail(the purchase was made using a temporary shopping pass on the day I applied and made the purchase) So I called Sears Credit and they had the wrong billing address, which I thought was funny being when I applied for the card the girl at the store entered all my info with my Drivers license and verified the information was correct.

So Sears Credit apologized and said they would correct it. Another month goes by and again no card or statement. So I called again, again this time they still had the wrong billing address and told me they had tried sending me my statements and card and kept having them sent back for having the wrong address. I would have figured being they have my home phone number they would have called to verify that they had made a mistake being 3 months had past.

They finally corrected their mistake. I get a billing statement and on it are late charges and no payment received charges. On top of that they sent a letter saying they would not honor the 10% markdown on the purchase I made being they hadn't received any payments and have to charge me full. That had me fuming, cause it was their mistake and they were penalizing me.

I called Sears credit had them connect me to a supervisor and I explained how they screwed up and asked why i should suffer charges for their incompetence. They weren't very apologetic this time, they even tired to blame the associate who opened my sears card for inputting the wrong info, which I thought was *** up being the information she gathered was from my drivers license just by inputting the license number. The service I received was really good from the associate and the autocenter on the day I bought my tires, they aren't to blame, the credit people are!!!

In the end I had all the charges retracted and got the honored the 10% markdown. But i closed the account and have since paid it off.

I will shop again at Sears but never get one of their credit cards again!

Right off of their website:

"Craftsman lawn mower warranty covers for two years from date of purchase."

I think after 8 years, you've gotten more than your share of the 2 year warranty. Quit griping. :?
