Sears in Fisk, Missouri - Bait and switch
Sears.com advertises one price and then charges another when you add the item to your cart. The customer care person refused to allow me to purchase the items for the advertised price. She said it was against company policy! I'm sure it is. Their customer care told me that they update their cart prices before they update their advertised prices. I contacted my state's attorney general. If enough people complain then, maybe, sears will change their pricing policy. Tell everyone you know that Sears uses bait and switch pricing policies. Don't let Sears keep up this unethical practice.
Sears ruined my car !!
At 130,000 miles I took my car in to have the tires rotated. The gorilla in the Sears Auto Center in Jefferson City, MO succeded in twisting off a lug nut. I had it fixed somewhere else because I didn't want anything else to be broken. It's now 5000 miles later, and when I tried to *** the passenger front wheel, I find that all of the lugs have been over-torqued. A 12mm lug bolt should have no more than 70 ft-lb of torque, not 100 ! I'm going to have the lug bolts and nuts replaced and take the bill to the Jefferson City Store Manager.
Sears in Bakersfield, California - I was told to take back a defective product and get my money back
I bought a surround sound system that was incomplete Sears didn't want to exchange it for a complete one so i spoke to a higher agency which contacted them and told them to give me my refund when i returned the product. well these dishonest people decided to put my 332.10 on my other purchase that belonged to my daughter. When i asked to get the supervisors name the girls response was he said it's against company police to reveal his name. I will no longer do business with such a company and make sure others know the truth if i get asked about how honest Sears in Bakersfield california is

Short and to the point. Sears wants to sell extended warranties so bad that when I walked away from the woman sales person she followed me. I told her if she did not stop talking about the extended warranty I would walk and but my fridge and range and TV somewhere else. She continued telling me how great it is to be protectted. I walked , she followed me to another department and then I tied into her and she got what she had comming to her and I bet her ears are still ringing. Sears presssure washer blows gasket after using only 12 times!
My wife bought a Sears 2700 PSI Perfect Mix pressure washer in April 2008 and it sat in the garage for about 1 year then it worked OK for the 1st time. When I started it up for spring pressure cleaning I was careful to relieve the pressure between starting pulls but when it started it ran a few minutes then blew a pressure gasket. Spent over $134 on it for one use. I should have hired someone to come and do the job then I wouldn't have the frustration of dealing with this junk! So I called Sears customer service and of course they say, "Well, the warranty expired" though the rep acknowledged that it should have worked more than 1 time... Paul firstname.lastname@example.org

Sears in Winnipeg, Manitoba - Can not get a grass bagger
I went to Kildonan Sears in Winnipeg to buy 3 bin bagger. They had two in stock, both were damaged. They said they would order one and should get the bagger in a week. Okay! Week and a half later I got nothing. I phoned in. The guy promised to find it out. So he never called me back and started to ignore my phone calls. I phoned customer support, they could not locate my order and suggested to go back to the store. I hate it. I understand that could be unforeseen problems but I would have peace of mind if I knew what's happening and when. Three weeks later I went to the store to discover that my bagger was damaged and showed me two more baggers with the same damage. That is FIVE baggers with identical damage to the top plastic cover because of poor packaging(plastic cover is right against the capboard box wall and no insullation. ***!) It's okay I guess, the customer will pay for it eventually. What I waste of money. I am quite disatisfied with that kind of service (ignoring phone calls) and thinking whether to proceed with getting the bagger because of cheap plastic that can not even get to the store in good shape.
Sears in Austin, Texas - Kenmore Elite oasis is ***
appliance started beeping and turning on on it's OWN after 1 year. Uplug and plug for each load and got through to 3 years, pump now leaked all over floor. I think it's the pump. I paid 1200 with taxes and delivery and contacted sears on numerous occasions with no help. I have read all over the internet .. had I of repaired it I would be at a total of 600+. Half the price of the machine. Now I am looking for a new machine and honestly I don't know what to purchase as there seems to be nothing reliable on the market. Consumer Reports does not report on reliability just performance. It's a piece of ***, but I am afraid nearly everything on the market it.

Sears in Jamestown, New York - Sold me a rototiller that is junk
my 2 year old crapsman rototiller, used only on my home garden, first year started making a terrible noise, under warranty, stopped at the lakewood ny store where i bought it. they sent the repair man out a week and a half later, he listened, said it needed a new transmission, he would order it ,have it sent to me then i conntact him to fix it. the whole process took over a month during growing season, this year the main stem that comes up to the handle w/all the controls broke, i took a picture to the store, dept mgr. looked at, no sympathy, bring it in ,pay 29.95 and they would give me an estimate of repairs, i feel this is a design fault, also the tines bend and break easily, 16.00 each, and i pay postage to have them delivered to the store.
