Sears can't handle the delivery.

I purchased the refrigerator at sears.com It was supposed to be delivered on July 22nd 2010. Since July 21st i kept on receiving phone calls about the problems with the delivery. Sears called me every day at 9:30 am to reschedule the delivery with the following call to confirm it. 8 days in a row it was reschedule-confirm-reschedule-confirm. I had an impression that I worked with sears that how often they bothered me. As a result the last delivery was scheduled for today 7:45 am. At 7am sears called me to postpone the delivery again....... I was really pissed and cancelled the order. That was a real torture for me. I will never order anything from this company again.

I can relate! I will never deal with Sears ANYTHING!

I have had trouble with deliveries, their high interest credit cards and some of the sales people in the local store.

I know you are aggravated. I have been there and understand.

Sears Avalon Mall Newfoundland

I find it interesting to read all the concerns posted on this site about Sears Canada. I thought it was only at the Avalon Mall in Newfoundland that it was typical to have only two cashiers to check out the entire store...with customers 12 deep at one check out during a promotion sales day! When you look for the manager he is on vacation and the acting manager is too busy to talk. Do what I did and call the central corporate office. How can they afford to lose all this business? They need a corporate make over and new management!

Service
Sears Manager

Sears has the worst service ever.

I used the Sears website to schedule a repair for my refrigerator. I set it up for July 12th between 8:00 AM and Noon. I received an e-mail confirmation for the appointment. That day no one showed up so, at 2:00 PM, I called Sears. I was on the phone with numerous people, cut-off twice, laughed at once, and called a liar once. After 1 hour and 20 minutes of this abuse I found someone who admitted I had not even been on the schedule for that day and offered to reschedule. The new appointment was two weeks away! Today was the day of the rescheduled repair appointment, and guess what. No one showed up again and no one bothered to call me. When I called customer service I was told that they were extremely busy with "emergencies" and that I was not even on the list for the day anyway. The customer service rep said she tried to fnd someone in the area who could come out to repair my refrigerator but no one was available. She offered to set up another appointment. Really? She wants to reschedule again! No way; I will sell this refrigerator and buy another brand somewhere else. All I can say to anyone shopping for an appliance is this...stay away from Sears at all cost. Their appliances are *** and their service is non-existant.

I made a purchase with Sears on Feb. 16th and cancelled my order the very next day.

I still have not received my refund! I have called Sears Customer service and they always say the same thing. It will take 3 to 5 days... this has been going on for the past two weeks.

Sears, I truly believed does not care about their customers. I will never buy anything online from Sears again.

They really do have the worst customer service I have ever had to deal with...It has been a nightmare!!! :cry :(

I can concur. But my problem is a dishwasher and I've been waiting for a repair since June 11!!!

I'll never shop at Sears again.

Their customer service is absolutely non-existent.

Phone calls, emails, registered mail. No use.

And I wait and wait for a repairman.

Sears Blue Crew Service repaired my Kenmore side-by-side refrigerator last week replacing the diffuser/damper which controls the chilled air flow to the refrigerator. The job took less than half an hour, but I was charged $219 for the labor (+ $104 for the part). The...

Sears Replacement
I tried to buy an item advertised in a Sears flyer today (first day of sale). I was told they didn't have any in the store, but there were lots of the item in their warehouse and on line. I tried to purchase online but they told me they would not honor the flyer...

the "consumer protection law" you are citing only applies if you are solicited...you called them and initiated the the transaction

as for cancelling the order, well that does seem odd...here's a work-around for you...order the one online as well...when the store one arrives, just return it

Sears review in Chicago, Illinois: Air Conditioner

I purchased an air conditioner from sears in 2002. I have purchased insurance from Sears each year on all of my appliances. My air conditioner did not work this year. I contacted Sears and a technician arrived at my home on June 7th. He said that I only need free ion. A second technician arrived and said that there was *** in the air conditioner. Nothing changed. I called again. The third technician said that I need a compressor. Each week Sears call and say they are sending a compressor. The compressor never arrived. They say our compressor is on back order. This has been going on for four weeks. They charged us 20.00 each time. We have been customers for 40 years and are very disappointed that we have not been serviced. My name is Jesse Wade. Please review this complaint.

Sears did not back up what was promised!

We had to buy an A/C unit last year and went with Sears. Ever since we signed the papers it's been one headache after another!! The sales man totally did not deliver on anything!! The credit part was totally messed up with wrong account numbers everytime we called. We were promised a warranty that apparantly doesn't exsist, haven't recieved our Manual that states what warranty we were supposed to have in the first place. Now that we actally need them, now they tell us our warranty expired two weeks ago!! I spoke to six people on the phone that had no idea where our warranty was. We got nothing but oops, I'm sorry!!

Sears review in Las Vegas, Nevada: Refrigerator Mishap

The temperature gauge was not working on my refrigertaor and I called to schedule an appointment with Sears Service. The technician came out and said I needed to defrost my refrigerator and he would order parts, returning in 10 days. 10 days came, my fridge was defrosted, and no one showed up. I called Sears and they said the parts weren't in and that my appt. was only tentative. My receipt clearly stated, customer defrost fridge and appt scheduled for July 16 8-12. I waited at home sending my family ahead of me to Disco Bay and received not even an apology for no one showing up. They said I was supposed to call when the parts arrived. What? Last I checked, I was a teacher, not a service repairwoman. Because my fridge was defrosted over night, I did lose some food. Do you think Sears cares? They just rescheduled for July 22nd. 3 weeks with a non working refrigerator. Never again will I use Sears!

Sears Home Repair customer service ***

I have been a Sears customer for over 30 years, purchasing most of my major appliances, carpeting, tools and electronic items. I always considered Sears to be reliable and most importantly customer focused. But after being brought to tears while speaking with their customer service reps today, my entire view of the company has changed. The phone number I called was (1-800-469-4663) – unfortunately I don't have names because I was really too upset to remember them, it's not important because I suspect this is not an isolated/individual behavior. I think this apathetic, uncompromising, and patronizing culture developed over the years within the organization. I applaud Sears for the good works being done in the community but I don't think that should excuse the company from providing the best level of customer service possible.

Washer was broken we had a full warrenty.

They had to schedule us for a repair a week later because of part availability.

We specifically asked for morning appointment because we were scheduled to leave the next afternoon and wanted a chance to do our laundry before traveling.

First even though we were scheduled for the morning the repair person could not make here until 2 PM.

When I called and asked why he was overbooked, which since he was late waas an observable and verifiable fact, the Sears phone person claimed being 2 hours late was not overbooked just a minor schedule adjustment.

So flat out a lie.

Be clear I believe the repair people by and large are working as quickly and efficiently as possible but thta the supervisors are overbooking them to look good to their supervisors.

Sears as an organization is trash.

I don't know whether I feel more sympathy for those who out of economic necessity are working for an inept incompent organization or the poor sould they sucker into buying their garbage.
