Sears has gone downhill & continues to... They have their employees post responses on complaint sites like these to humiliate the complaining consumer.

It is even worse when you complain in their stores to any management (they will publicly humiliate you), and their corporate complaint process is a complete waste of time. Spend your hard earned money anywhere else but Sears...

Folks, do some research before you throw darts. SEARS is not "owned by KMART" Sears and KMART are owned by Sears Holdings, chaired by Eddie Lampert.

Eddie "happened" to buy Kmart before he bought Sears, so now everything thinks "Kmart bought Sears" it's just not the case...

Lands End was also sold to Sears Holdings on 2001 by it's former private owner, Gary Comer.

I worked at Lands' End in a management role for 5 years after the sale to Sears Holdings, and I can tell you for certain, that although Sears Holdings owns Lands' End, Lands End operates autonomously from it's parent company and still employs the same designers, technically designers etc, as well as still has it's own corporate campus. It's not just Sears and Kmart clothing with a Lands' End label thrown on it.

Lands' End is it's own brand, having clothing made for them from thread to delivery.

Bought a refig in July, 6 months no interest, which totaled $2072.93. Used sears card 3 more times those charges totaled $332.25.

I did not know that I had to call and request that my payment went to pay the promotional thing. In January when it ended I owed, so they say, $24.17 on the original purchase?? and they the hit me with $156.25 in interest.

This is utterly ridiculous, no where on my statement does it say it is a promo and that I have to call Sears to have my payment applied to the promo or I will be charged the full interest. Is there any consumer protection here?

Anything ordered from online or involving an 1-800 number be aware. You are not dealing with a competent employee.

An in store employee can help you the most. The online people are very limited.

Sears.com order- charged my card- but had none of my 21 items

Placed an order the other day at sears.com for 21 items. hours later- still did not receive a confirm. email. I emailed them- heard back with my confirmation and then that all my items were out of stock- so canceled. this is a considerable sized order- so i find that hard to believe - but am sure thier web site/cart sucks. So I wrote to them with my disgusts and let them know/questioned whether my DEBIT VISA WAS CHARGED- as I read other complaints where it was. Never heard back from them- wrote about 10 emails- finally nearly 24 hours they let me know that yep it WAS CHARGED- and that a refund could take awhile- depending on how long my bank takes to credit it. HELLO- my card should NEVER have been charged. We live in the DETROIT area and have been hard hit by the economy- so now we dont even have the $$ to go elsewhere- and a few of these things were b-day gifts SEARS SUCKS

Sears damaged trees and sent broken frig

9/27/2009 sears delivered frig and broke several large tree limbs. they delivered and frig with bowed door and incorrectly painted(you can see black). i called store several times and was told by john dekker, salesman i was sarcastic. i told him to pu frig. this was after he gave me several numbers to call, each one produced no results. i talked to store manager and he said sorry this happened. tell the trees. i posted compantaint to sears.com and they said they would have store manager contact me, he did not. today they called at 7:54am on sunday to confirm they were picking of frig. woke me up. i called customer service to make sure tthey did not use driveway and damage more trees and aske about previous damage. they said they would have someone call back. they have not. i bought a frig at lowes, they parked in road, they delivered a bigger frig and it is perfect. i saved 340.00 and this frig has a higher customer rating.

Wether it's the store, online, delivery, credit or customer service they are all completely different things and departments at Sears. To say the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing is an understatement

Sears moved call center to Phillipines, you know you were already on thin ice, but now >>>>>?????? Please give me one reason to order from you, just so I can have the misfortune to speak to someone who has little or no command of the english language just to save Sears a few bucks how many jobs wre lost, what pencil pushing dim witted bean counter came up with that jem, Sears should be ashamed as should all companies selling products in Canada, but shipping jobs offshore, for the sake of making 300 % profit for their shareholders instead of just 200%

Because you moved your Call Centres to the Phillipines my family will no longer do business with Sears. We are long term customers ( over 30 years )and will not see Canadian jobs lost while your company still expects to get a piece of our hard earned dollar. Take all of your Canadian stores to the Phillipines with you.

I have been dealing with the poor sopprt form the offshore call center. They don;t speak the language well, never understand me and then lie and say tehy are in America. Give me a break, your right, the bean counters are destroying Sears just like they have destroyed many other "previously" great American companies.

A lot of other company's do this and the kicker is that these call centers don't have any US laws. So, if the employee steals your information, SS#, credit card info, and uses it. You don't have a legal leg to stand on unless you move to their home country and try to take them to court there.

i dislike sears soo much i do not have enough words. long story short the repair man said between 8 &5p showed up at 5p turned my tv on said u need a $3.00 part i'll order it after many phone calls and many no shows we ended up w/ a new tv they had the nerve to cash a check i gave the tech for the whole amount and it was 3mon ltr bounced my whole account... now they dont want to give me my $ back! super rude cust serv after fightn w/ them to cxl check..
