Yeah, I stopped shopping at sears over a year ago. I purchased a snow thrower and paid cash.

Then I got suckered into their extended warrenty. HOW CAN IT BE EXTENDED WHEN IT RUNS CONCURENT TO THE MANUFACTORING WARRENTY?

Plus in the contract they dont give you it states that you can never use your product off your property where you intend to reside. Yep they're a rip off these days.

You should file a complaint with the BBB. I was told today that I did not qualify because I did not pay full price. Had the sales staff informed me of this then I would not have paid for delivery.

Sears card percentage rip off

I have been a sears customer and card holder for over 20 years. never once late with a payment. my credit line $4500, my average monthly balance $600. i spend between $100 and $300 each month in that store. my regular payment i send is $200 each month. they without cause increased our percentage rate from 21.24% to (get this) 25.24%. i canceled the card and i will NOT buy from that store in the future. people wonder why Wall Mart is so successful. i don't know who is running the show over there, but you better read the inserts with your bill. they can't make a profit with the merchandise, so they, like the government, just increase your percentage rate. pissed consumer is not the word. shop somewhere else is the word.

This happened to me too. I have been buying all of my appliances from Sears for the last 30 years, and have always paid my bill on time.

In June this year, CITI which holds the Sears card bumped my due date up over a week without informing me (because I paid off my balance they said) in an attempt to generate late fees. They supposedly waived the late fee but it is still on my statement. They raised my interest rate to 25% too, but lowered it back to 20 at my request. I need a refrigerator.

It will NOT come from Sears.

I have had enough of this abuse. As soon as I pay off my balance I am cancelling my Sear Credit card.

I am unsure why your interest rate would have increased but if you always pay the balance and have such a low month-to-month you like dont get hit with much interest at all.

Walmart is so successful due to the subjugation of third-world countries, next-to-slave labor, and other practices. While a rise in interest rate might not be fun, at least it's not as inhumane of a practice as Walmart's day-to-day business!

Sears repair and customer service

It is amazing that they offer a 4 hour window and then don't show up for the repair service: They are certainly a lot more efficient selling product insurance on the phone for appliance that always seems to break within 6 weeks of the initial guarantee running out! I have been waiting for 5 hours; have called customer service 3 times to be told that all they can do is send a text to the repir company to contact the customer but have no control over the repair service: A big black hole of information that is then covered by stating that the 4 hr window is only an estimate and why am I calling when he is only 30 mins late? After questioning the process I got transferred to another customer service rep who was able to see that I was customer #11 and that the repair guy was only on number 6. Why the first 3 sears customer service guys could noy give me that information is strange. At what point do they realise that they overbooked? When do they reach out to the customers who have been waiting for 4+ hours to let them know? Why do they make you feel like it is your fault and just keep waiting? All I got from sears reps was it is not our fault, you should keep waiting and hopefully he should get to you by the end of the day or reschedule. But of course cannot guarantee he will show up next time either! what part of customer service am I missing here. This is also not the first time I have had a similiar experience unfortunately I have several sears appliances that have all had issues (which explains the constant junk mail from sears for extending warranties). I cannot recommend sears for their stoves or refridgerators, their customer service or their repair service. regards, extremely frustrated (ex) customer

SEARS delivery & installation but no installation!

Clicked "delivery & installation" when ordering new wall oven. However, wall ovens (even the site is all set with gas and electrical hookups) cannot be installed when delivered. When I called to set up installation after delivery occurred, was told it would be an additional $189. After two hours on the phone, and being transferred to 11 different people, was told I could pay the $189 and be credited for the "installation" part of "delivery and installation" ONLY if I paif the $189 for installation. I refused and DEBBIE HUNG UP ON ME The point is: NO WHERE during the order process was it disclosed installation would be an additional $189. Not until after the appliance was delivered and signed for could installation be scheduled. I have aksed that I be credited for the "delivery and installation" since this is deceptive, misleading, and fraudelent. I have not gotten a response yet.
