Sears has gone downhill & continues to... They have their employees post responses on complaint sites like these to humiliate the complaining consumer.

It is even worse when you complain in their stores to any management (they will publicly humiliate you), and their corporate complaint process is a complete waste of time. Spend your hard earned money anywhere else but Sears...

Has anyone out there had problems with Sears Kitchen Remodel. I paid a lot of money for Sears to install new cabinets and countertops in my kitchen. The sales person lied about the time it would take for the install and the financing arrangements. When the cabinets...

We were quoted $20000 and charged $2500 to remodel 2 bathrooms. They disconnected our dryer and cut the vent to the outside and !eff it like that.

Sears ran a promotion for appliances. They would rebate shipping and haul-away costs of $75 for "Any Appliance Over $399." The rebate form and its fine print had no exceptions to this qualifier except a few specific high-end brands. However, what Sears meant,...

Don't cut pockets out, you will be arrested and go to jail. Just post all over the internet like I do, and soon they will be out of business.

Sears review in Little Rock, Arkansas: Surley Store Manager Granbury Texas

Recently I needed a large Cardboard Box for some new Kittens. I went to my local Sears Store Loading Dock and a man on the dock give me permission to get what I needed. While getting the box a man drove up and become very belligerent about my taking the box from the Sears Store Trash. He said he was Store Manager, Mr. Wilson. With very harsh words he told me I could not have the box, so I put it back in the trash. I was invited to leave and never come back to his store again and I never will. A very surly and unprofessional like man for a Manager. I can not believe Sears would allow a man like that to be a Sears Store Manager. Granbury Texas is a very small country town in Texas and has a limited number of shopping stores, but I will drive the 50 Miles to Fort Worth Texas if I ever need anything from a Sears Store again. A very nice lady at another local store was very happy to give me several boxes and I will make it a special effort to go back to her store.

What are boxes doing in the trash . Most regular Sears stores compact and recycle cardboard .

It only makes sense that they want warranty repairs done by a certified technician. Would you want your new card serviced under warranty by the dealership or the corner garage?

Sears doesnt care

purchased 1200.00 fridge 4 years ago, stainless steel bottom mount, Kenmore, because I always believed sears backs their products compressor went on it and sears wont replace compressor because I dont have receipt anymore total shock at the poor service, complained to bbb, they just sent emails back and forth and sears said cant do it without receipt, case closed i was willing to pay for the service call and the labour costs, all I want is for sears to step and replace the compressor, the repair guy they sent even said he has had to replace alot of that model because they are bad, sears stopped using that model. I mentioned this to sears and they dont believe the repairman told me that, unbelieveable,

In my experience working at SEAR'S, I've noticed that the best way to get anything accomplished is by going to the store itself.Because in the past my store has had similar problems like your own, which was resolved by getting a manager to run around and to make alot of calls to people so that the problem itself can go away. So my advice is to go to that certain store and ask for a manager.

Then just don't pay them until 2010. You might also want to file a complaint so they will stop harrassing you.

Thanks for the heads up and letting us know.

Sears Kenmore Oasis washer made to be fixed repaired 3 times in 2 year

Do not purchas an Oasis Kenmore washing machine. The company makes their money off repairing them.It has a computer board on it that likes to go out.I'm having my 3rd repair on it since I bought it. Bought it 02/17/2007. I could have put some money towards a cheaper model washing machine and have a better washing machKine, I bought a used whirpool washing mashing that worked for 15 years without any repairs. Just because the washing machine is expensive and it is bought at a well known store does not mean the product will work well. I think the main objective of this company is to make money on repairing the product. They don't care that you are a happy consumer and are satisfied with the Kenmore Washing Machine you bought.

RE: OASIS from Sears in Cornwall, Ontario.

I will not be back with my business, and will discourage others, unless Sears honours their promise. to fix my washer.

1. I called the Sears number given on the recall notice and was told that although my washer had the same symptoms that warranted the recall, my model and serial number weren't covered. I was referred to local Sears store Parts & Service.

2. Parts & Service said they only know what Whirlpool tells them and suggested calling Whirlpool.

3. I called Whirlpool and was referred back to Sears.

4. After several transfers and dropped calls a representative of Sears told me that if the problem was the same as the recalled washers the repair would be covered by Sears.

5. Sears sent a repairman who confirmed that the problem was the control board as in the recalled washers. He didn't have the part but said he'd have it in 2 days. He called 3 days later to say Sears would not honour their promise and that I'd have to call them.

6. I called Sears and was told they didn't know the person (whose name I gave them) that made the promise, nor did they have a record of the call. They promised to call back.

7. I went to the Sears store in Cornwall, Ontario and was able to find the name of the "unknown" employee in the database as well as a record of my call.

8. Sears later called (careful to not leave a name) leaving a message telling me the promise to fix the washer was a mistake and the part and repair would not be covered.

9. I have informed the local Sears sales people about this corporate representative who will make a bonus for sluffing me off, at their expense. Because although the salespeople are quite nice and helpful, Sears can not be considered a source of trustworthy product nor service and support.

10. I of course will not be back with my business, and will discourage others, unless Sears honours their promise.

11. If anyone else is doing something about this issue, feel free to write: dearteacher@cogeco.ca

Nah, I can ASSURE that ANY manufacturer tries their best to design a machine that will be trouble free. There is ZERO profit for the manufacturer in the repair business. That's all handled by independent contractors and is a HUGE expense to the manufacturer.

I own the same machine as you, and we had the board replaced as part of the recall. Fortunately the machine has performed without any other problems, and is used heavily.

I was however VERY disappinted recently when I had annual service (Sear's maintenance contract) and found the interior works of the machine is HEAVILY rusted. The repairmen assured me I would be having problems with the machine down the road and encouraged us to be SURE to maintain our maintenance contract.

I also have found their is a law firm that is collecting information in consideration of a class action law suit. Just google it and you can sign up to participate.

Hope that helps and good luck,

Wes
