Sears review in Albuquerque, New Mexico: Refrig broke for almost a month

around the first of july my refrig quit When I called to schedule appointment it was 10 days before tech could come. 2nd time another 10 days 3rd time another 10 days. washer/dryer okay i could of went to laundermat but refrig! had to eat 3 meals aday for almost a month out. nice not to cook but expensive and inconvient. i am really upset about this. think that a refrig should be a priority. I asked to speak to a supervisor and the lady who was scheduling appt. said super was on the line but I never heard a word from the super.

SEARS delivery & installation but no installation!

Clicked "delivery & installation" when ordering new wall oven. However, wall ovens (even the site is all set with gas and electrical hookups) cannot be installed when delivered. When I called to set up installation after delivery occurred, was told it would be an additional $189. After two hours on the phone, and being transferred to 11 different people, was told I could pay the $189 and be credited for the "installation" part of "delivery and installation" ONLY if I paif the $189 for installation. I refused and DEBBIE HUNG UP ON ME The point is: NO WHERE during the order process was it disclosed installation would be an additional $189. Not until after the appliance was delivered and signed for could installation be scheduled. I have aksed that I be credited for the "delivery and installation" since this is deceptive, misleading, and fraudelent. I have not gotten a response yet.

So sorry for your situation. We too are unhappy.

Purchased an expensive, for us, microwave that caught on fire while cooking a potato. Repairman said sensor error.. Sears denied this and said customer abuse due to the fact aluminum could have grown in the potato, (minerals I guess?) and we were supposed to stand in front of the microwave while in use. I thought that was dangerous!

They would only replace it for about a $100. discount after delivery and installation. Why would we want to pay for another one that could catch on fire with hidden minerals?

Sooo not happy. Have had cheap units that just cooked item beyond recognition but unit still worked!

Told me my Sears card had been cancelled.

Ordered a cabinet by phone, drawers pulled out and unfolded into little tables. Gave Sears card number. Got a letter five weeks later saying card had been cancelled due to lack of use. They could have phoned me back and asked for my Visa card number. They closed my account without telling me. The letter added just go to the nearest store and apply for another card. But my heart was broken. I really wanted that little cabinet. It was not an in-store item, it could only be ordered on the phone, and only during a certain time limit.

This happened to me with my Sears Mastercard i had for over 15 years!! The sorry place cancelled mine without even telling me!!

i will never shop sears again....i will spread the news on all blogs to Boycott SEARS

Sears worst customer service ever!

I got my refrigerator about 6 months ago. It started having problems and called. The repair man came and ordered a part that took more than a week to arrive. When he put the part it was worse. The refrigerator was completely ruined. Hundreds of dollars in food spoiled. Called again and took another week to come. Scheduled to come from 8am-noon. Arrived at 3 or 4pm. Ordered a part and now i have to wait 8 more days for them to come again. I complained but, the manager was very rude. They also hanged up on me 2 times. I called the National something and they said that they could not do anything. They are a horrible company.

Sears review in Gary, Indiana: Ordered the wrong part

I went to Sears to order a cable for my lawn mower. The man order the wrong cable; when I took it back he wanted me to pay the shipping to send it back. It was his mistake, not mine. I believe your company needs to improve it's customer service. You need to have your employee's take workshops, or hold classes to improve the customer service departments. Your company used to be a well reputable one. In this ecomomy today customer service is very important in order to keep your old customers and gain new ones. As you well know, one complaint can lead to the loss of new possible customers. This incident happen at your Sear store in Grand Island, NE. Sincerely, Wanda Johnson

I bought a Kenmore refrigerator 5 years ago for $1200.00 and this last sunday I had to buy another refrigerator. This time it cost me $ 1100.00. The man who picked up the old one, said get a repair agreement for the new one. They are not meant to last over 5 years now, not U.S. made. The refrigerator before I had for 20 years- Kenmore. This isn't just Sears . It's called planned obsolesence. Design them to ware out in 3-5 years ,

I hate to say it even though you paid for the features on your refridgerator the less features on an appliance the better. Simple math - the less that can go wrong. Most appliances today are over accessorized and built for style and appearance and not longevity or durability.

I don't know about the service agreement. Sometimes it's just better to pay the repairs as they come and put those service contract dollars in the bank.

Some of the things you can do is make sure the rear of refridgerator is well ventilated. If you have access to the commpressor coils vacum them once in a while. Make sure any air filters are kept clean. All this helps make for better air flow which helps keep things cooler. Heat is the number one enemy of your food and fridge.

Make sure the unit is on a protected circut and or a surge protector if possible-power surges AND outages can mess with the electronics and compressor on a fridge.

ok here we go again now fridge # 2 from sears outlet in fall fiver mass in my praovious post i had a fridge that went bad and i lost over 300 in food and meds and sears gave me 150 after the last post so sears repair came and fixed the problem and it broke again so i went and thay gave me a new one and ghess what yes thats right after 24 hours again after 24 hours it broke yes a new fridge broke after 24 hours so do i recomed sears outlet to my dog *** no and again i am out over total over $900 we will see how many more suckers like me will go to sears outlet on 133 mariano s bishop blvd in fall river ma and the phone # is 508 646 0054 cuz if thay do go u just might get my old busted up fridges

Sears review in Westwego, Louisiana: Zero turn mower

We also had a no show tech...only we were told they would show up between 8am and 5pm! no call, no excuses...after numerous calls to service, they contacted us a day later/tech showed up, didnot even turn off his truck,left his door open, walked up, looked at mower and said oh, i cannot fix this, it needs parts! well, after yet another 2 weeks waiting on parts and tech it still was not fixed. well, we finally got one source on phone , after alot of argueing and hanging up on many people, they finally agreed to replace...did i mention that the mower was only 40 days old and we paid over 6000 dollars for it?! well, new mower came today and guess what, it is covered in metal shavings and makes a rattling sound when turning...back to service dept again on a mower we havenot even used yet...jackie assures us that we are able to use until repair can be made.. we'll see!

I know Sears likes to repair appliances and powered lawn equipment or at least try . But theoretically with a 90 day return policy they could give a new one .

So I understand you they gave a loaner with metal shavings while they are repairing your brand new mower ?
