Have you ever had an account with GE Money? It could be any dept store card, like JPC, Mervyns. Belks etc.

They lost 650,000 customer records in Oct 2007.

Did not publicy report the loss until Jan 08, and did not make an honest effort to notify account holders of the potential for identity theft.

They claim to have located the missing data tape and also claim it was not accessed.

They also believe all their customers are ***.

This could be related to your issue.

Sears stuck in stand still

I went over to SEARs to buy a lawnmower for my land lord. I wanted to get a model that didn't have a rigs engine on it. They had one that I wanted to buy but the sales person wouldn't sell it to me. The newer model switched engines. So, I was stuck buying a less priced poorly built mower. That pissed me off because the older model had a better warranty on it. Why not sell the older model to make room for the newer model that will take the place of the older machine? Poor staffing made the problem worse. And the time it took to get the mower out of the store was longer. The owners' manual was missing and it took me almost a month to get the new manual.

Amen, the Westminster, Colorado store is bad at providing customer service. The assistant store manager is a ***.

Yes, SEARS aka "SUCKS" should have sold you that older model with the TECUMSEH engine on it for a reduced price.

The tire department is even worse than that. SEARS puts in the newspaper that it will match and beat the price of its tires to the price of the other retailers. I called SEARS and told them that COSTCO was selling the same tires for $25 less per tire.

Sears said they wouldn't match that price that it was a huge difference in prices. Needless to say, I bought my tires at COSTCO instead of "there is less for your life at sears"

Sears lawnmower the same

I went through about the same thing with a Sears lawnmower. It just happened to be a "lemon" and I made complaints, took it back 4 times for repairs. It never did work. I complained to several managers, too. Even the district manager and their main office. It was under warranty when I first took it in but after 12 weeks of back and forth to the repair shop, the shop wanted to charge me. I said it was under warranty when I first brought it in for repairs. It had not been repaired. The store manager called the main office and he looked up on his computer and saw how things had gone. Not only that, I lived in a small town and I had to drive 45 miles each way to a Sears repair shop. The lawnmower was never repaired, they would not replace it, and I ended up with a credit card bill for a product that never worked. By then the grass was so high I had to hire someone to come and mow it. Another expense. He continued to do the lawn care until I moved.

Friend, I am sorry that you had a lot of problems with your lawnmower. If I were you, I would bring that mower into the SEARS show room and tell people not to buy CRAFTSMAN brand lawn equipment.

That SEARS could careless about the way they treat the customers. Do that for a while and a manger will come out on the sales floor. Then, you can tell him how much you are ticked off about your lawnmower that you just bought. After some talk, they will more than likely give in and give you store credit or replace the faulty lawnmower at once.

Just to get a ticked off customer out of their sales floor. By the way, bring the reciept with you.

I did that at SEARS with a pos rocking chair that was leaking oil and *** all over the place. And also a vacuum that never worked right. The Store gave us about $200 to get out of their store.

I voiced myself to all the customers that were in the furniture department. We even told the associatess not to put that chair on the carpet because the stain will never come out.

Sears repair ripoff

Had a rattle in my 2 year old front load Kenmore washer. Called the repair center. Told me that the service charge was $65 to show up and then they would give me an estimate on the repair. Then it was up to me to accept or deny repairs. Found an chapstick tube inside the front flap. They charged me $126, to lift it out and hand it to me. I called and complained and that basically told me tough, thats was the service guy said and it was final. I challenged and all CS would do is give me the CEO's address. Pretty bad if you ask me!!!

Sears-new washer-doesn't work-wait month and not fixed

Sears sold a $2000 washing machine that did not work from the start. Also sent wrong colored pedestals. I waited a week for a repairman who did not know for sure what was wrong. Ordered a part to be sent to me. Told it was on the way, then called to say it was on back order. Could not speak to anyone on phone until I screamed "HELP". Could not get a manager on the phone. Had to drive 40 miles and wait for an hour to speak to a manager. Maybe will get a new machine next week. You noticed I said maybe.

Ever had a problem when dealing with a warranty issue? I have had more than my fair share of problems with claims. Sears is the worst one that I have ever had to deal with. Have you taken a close up look at the tags on the CRAFTSMAN work pants? The warranty states if...

"Ray",

I wore my work pants only on SUNDAYS. 16 times isn't that much at all (give or take 4 MONTHS). WHEN i PAID OVER $25 FOR WORK PANTS, I WOULD THINK THAT THE PANTS WOULD LAST LONGER THAN 4 MONTHS. I wear LEVI brand jeans more than that and the jeans hold up alot better than that.

DISCOVER CARD was started by SEARS HOLDINGS in the 1990's with another Banking company. For the longest time, SEARS would only take the SEARS CARD or DISCOVER CARD. I don't want to have anything to do with SEARS and that is why I canceled the trashy high interest rate card.

RAY, do you have an ENGLISH DEGREE? DO YOU HAVE A PHD IN ENGLISH? IF NOT, BACK OFF AND TAKE A QUICK AT YOUR OWN FAULTS. ARE YOU PERFECT IN EVERY WAY? I DON'T THINK SO. SO, DON'T MAKE FUN OF THE SPELLING UNLESS YOU WANT FOUR FINGERS POINTING BACK AT YOU.

Sears in Somers, New York - Sear's service is a JOKE!

We've been waiting 6 weeks to have our Kenmore clothes drier repaired, which is only four years old. I've taken 3 days off work waiting all day for the service tech to arrive and it's still not fixed. Yesterday I waited all day for the service tech. I called One Source twice during the day and they assured me the tech would be there. But, at 5:45PM last night I got saying the tech would not be able to make it. Apparently Sear's and their service division (One Source) is in the business of lying to customers. After calling One Source and waiting on hold for about 20 minutes, it seemed to me like they really didn't give a darn. My family and I will NEVER buy another Sear's product again!

Sears in Chula Vista, California - Customer service

I have not been a customer of sears in years because of their poor customer service attitude. Today I decided to try Sears again but could not easily get past their voice recognition system. I ended up being bounced around for over an hour. These are the things I rediscovered about Sears customer service. If you can not resolve an issue with the store you are instructed to call their national call center. There they demand your personal information before they will take a complaint. after you tell them they will always say they have to send this complaint back to the store to be resolved. They do not have a corporate office that is accountable to their customers. Their district and regional managers to not work out of an office. Their full names are kept secret and they do not use voice mail. Sears will continue to keep this ex customer and probably many others away from their stores if they keep resisting to learn from their past mistakes.

Sears in Reston, Virginia - Misleading and Frustrated

I have to say I have never been so unhappy with a store. On 10-13-08 I went to Sears.com to purchase a new washing machine and a new stove. $1200.00 order. I went with sears online because it said next day delivery if the order was placed before 3:00 pm. I did so. I received a phone call right away from sears security to confirm my online order, I asked if it will come the next day since my washer was broke and I had a wash of wet clothes and a messy situation I needed it fast. She told me it is set up as next day delivery, and I would get a call 1 hour before they deliver. The next day came and nothing, I called sears.com they said the order was still in processing, and it showed the washer was out of stock, then she said hold on and checked and told me it was an error that both items would be available for the 15th, to wait and I would receive a call for delivery, now 2 days later not next day as stated online. Then I called back because I still never got a call back about delivery and my husband already lost a days pay waiting for the appliances, they said it was still in processing and any time now I would get a call. So we wanted to cancel the order. The woman offered a 10% off the order, and when asked if we would get a confirmation of that she said yes in 12 to 24 hours. Guess what, never got that comfirmation, big shock there!!!it took me over 24 hours to even get an email of my original order. So the 15th came and still no call for delivery, my husband was up set he called our local P C Richard, they had the same washer and better stove, said we can have it next day. I am looking at both appliances from P C Richard right now and I love them. Went placed the order, by the time I got home they already called to confirm delivery. Woke up today by the phone ringing, and it was P C Richard giving me my 4 hour window, they came at 9:00 am, and I was doing my wash by 10:00 am, imagine that! I called sears.com back and told them to cancle the order, the man informed me that it was still in processing and now claimed my credit card co. was holding it up. Now a completely different story. I told him if that was true then my credit card company would have called me to confirm it not let it go for days. So I told him to cancel the order, he did, and within 2 minutes I got my cancellation emails on the order. Wow, what a company, they won't process an order like they state, but boy they are sharp when it comes to cancelling. Good business, huh? this negative experience will affect all of sears not just online. It is switch and bait, tell people they can have it next day with a false sense, and then give them the run around. I'll even bet they were out of stock and they kept trying to cover it up and keep me waiting. Also, when the order was cancelled there was no 10% discount showing on the order for our trouble so I expect if the item was shipped that would have been another fight as well to get that. Terrible business on sears, false, and just a complete waste of time. I will be happy to push the P C Richard name to my friends and family. Sears will not get any more of our business and I will advise friends and family of the experience. In fact I will send out this letter to everyone I know, and all the complaint sites, as well as all the sears departments I find to inform them of this. Thanks for nothing Sears!!!! By the way I used the same credit card to make my purchase from P C Richard and what a miracle...........it went through right away!!!!!!
