Sears will never earn my business again. I have had problems before but this is it. I canceled my Sears card sometime ago due to a bad experience. I placed an order online for the Bowflex #14689 on 4-16-08. On 4-23-08 I had not received any confirmation so I called...

Nice to know there are people in this country who don't know what "Warranty" means. If you had an engine in your car replaced in warranty, and it blew up again after the warranty expired...guess what?

It's because of people constantly showing up at Sears that caused them to have to change their policy in the first place.

Things broke down 50 years ago with the same frequency that they do today.

The difference now? The company isn't going to GIVE you hundreds of dollars worth of repairs outside the warranty anymore.

I have now wasted three days off and have to plan for at least one more day to fix my washer. This washer cost me over $1200 about a year and a half ago and it broke down six weeks ago. I have spent three days off waiting for my three 8 hour windows that the repairman...

I feel your pain. My dishwasher quit the first week in June.

I called and they sent a technician out on the 11th.(it's now AUGUST 13th) He said he would need to order parts and to call when they came in. I waited a week for parts and then had to wait another week to get an appointment. He got here and found out that the wrong parts were ordered. So we wait again- only when the parts arrived, one was a duplicate of what they already ordered and one was the wrong part.

So now they do an "emergency order" and we wait for parts again. Then it's another week to get someone out. He installs all new parts and leaves. It worked for one partial cycle.

I call again- and wait another week for a tech. This one says the door switch is what was broken, replaces it and it worked four days. I call again- wait another week for tech. He says the door switch just needs to be adjusted.

He does that, leaves, and it works for 20 minutes. To add insult to injury, now the door squeaks to high heaven. So we call AGAIN- some of the people answering the phone actually hang up on you even though we are trying mightily not to scream at them. I have talked to the warranty people, customer relations, supervisors....

no one seems to be able to get it that the dishwasher just cannot be repaired.. Now they are coming out again tomorrow and I am quite positive that nothing will be fixed. I told the scheduler that she better allow enough time for him to stay for an entire cycle so that he can see it doesn't work. Sears has now spent about twice what the dishwasher was worth in labor and parts.

Not only are they incompetent, they are ***. This is the "top of the line" Kenmore- so buyer beware!!!!!

Sears review in Ashburn, Virginia: Bad Water Heater Sales Service

Some how, sears kenmore service is claiming We ordered the wrong water heater for $410 model 33956. How am I to know? Sears should be the expert, all I was asked was height and diameter, then the order was placed and my card was charged. Then the service guy came home and told me it was the wrong water heater model. The correct model should have been for 33205 power vent water heater $710. Apparantly, there is a difference, some thing related to the venting coming out to the side. We had to pay $45 for today’s (April 21, 2008)trip and there will be two charges on the credit card, along with two receipts of purchases issues over standard mail. We need to check that the proper credit is applied on the card. There is also an extra charge for $75 replacement for the water valve on top which will be paid during the installation time. So, we are waiting for a call from sears to re-schedule the appointment. If they can get to it, it will be tomorrow April 22, 2008. My question is, why should I pay for $45 trip charge. When the sales person did not do HIS job. I asked, is there anything else needed? Any other information? How do we ensure it is the correct heater? Person said : "no worries I got you covered"

Sears review in Chicago, Illinois: Repair man was a no show

We scheduled an appointment of refrigerator repaif. The repair man did not show up, wasted 1/2 waiting for him. No calls till the evening when we were rescheduled to next day. In the mean time they lured us to buy insurance. Next day repair man comes, spend 15 minutes, changes a part (cost $10)and the fridge is working. The cost - $214. Upon talking to sears they gave us mere $50 gift card towards 1/2 day wage for an analyst at a bank. How do they justify the charge??? Now for a 15 minutes handy man job sears charges us $214 but they think a $50 gift card for an analyst earning 6 figures in a bank. They confirmed the appointment twice previous evening and still the repairman did not show up. Agreed that the previous job would have run longer than expeced but they give a bloody 4-hr window. The worst part is nobody called to let us know, everytime we called we got the same answer, somebody will be there shortly. I must have wasted so much time on the phone with these guys. I demand a better compensation, $50 just won't do it. If they don't give me more money, I will complain on BBB (http://welcome.bbb.org/). We all should do, may be that will teach them a lesson.

Sears Home service, incompetent or did they try to rip me off

My tv wasnt working so I called sears to repair, they came out said it was fixed charged $170. Ten minutes after he left tv was acting up again. So i called them back this time instead of telling they didnt know how to fix it they told me they would have to replace some big major component because they couldnt narrow it down, that would cost me over 1200.00 dollars! So of course i said no. So i took my tv to a local electronic repair shop, they called me the next day said all fixed replaced an ic chip Total cost $185. Part was only 30. So i believe sears techs either dont know what they are doing or tried to rip me off, either way I will never do business with sears again, So basicly they charged me $100 dollars to come out and tell me they were too *** to fix it. Absolutely would not give me a refund either.

Sears appliances

I purchased a Kenmore refridgirator less than 4 years ago and this past weekend the condenser stopped working. I called Sears today and was told that the condenser is not under warranty and it will cost $260 for the part and $65/hour for labor. I only paid $399 for the unit and feel that it should have lasted a whole lot longer than it did. This goes to show how cheaply items are made now as you use to have a fridge for about 10 years before you even thought about replacing. The worst part of this whole thing is that I know I was not talking to a person in the US and that made it even more frustrating.

We bought a craftsman garage opener about 1 and a half years ago and it has died as well. I also called to inquire about the craftsman wtty.

(we do not buy extended wtty's) I was surprised to learn that I am out of luck .......Shouldn't a garage door opener last more than this? Poor quality....Poor customer service.......Where is there good customer service today?
