SEARS Service is pathetic
after purchasing a Kenmore HE2 washer and dryer, the washing machine stoped working. All efforts by the customer relations dept failed to work. Finally they said they would issue a work order for a repairman to come to the house. How soon can they be here I asked? "2 weeks" was the response. I said "That is just unnaceptable, I can have any repairman out within 2-3 days." And she Replies " "Go ahead and it will void your warranty." SERVICE? WHAT SERVICE. 2 weeks without a washer and a large family...Sears just lost my business for Life..Im still waiting on the repairman and taking my laundry to the local facility...I should leave this washer sitting on the doorstep at the local sears where I bought it....

NEVER BUY APPLIANCES FROM SEARS!
Less than 2 years after purchasing my Kenmore Elite dishwasher it just stopped working one day - no power, standing water in the bottom, etc. Called to have it serviced. I'm told it's not under warrantee and, anyway, Sears is not servicing your area for the foreseeable future! But I have my paperwork for a 2 year FULL warrantee I say. Not according to Sears! She suggested I get out the yellow pages and find a repair center. I spent over an hour speaking to at least 6 different people and I got the same rude responses. Bottom line - they were not going to schedule service! Have you ever heard of anything so ridiculous? Never buy from Sears!
Sears in Bloomington, Illinois - Store and Warranty Repair Service
I dont like to talk as much as most people bit I to am tired of Sears cutomer service. The front loader energy saving washer has been a nightmare since we got it. The service people have been nice with an arrogant tone. They only fix things half right and getting to talk to someone in charge at Sears is impossible. I will no longer shop Sears and I have been a good cutomer of theirs for over 32 years. I give up on Sears and no longer trust them. Let others be warned. I am also adding six words to this because this sight required, it aint that sweet
Sears kenmore washers & dryers
For the second time within a year I have had to replace the handle on my Kenmore(elite model #110.95089400) dryer at a cost of over eighty three dollars each, not including installation fees. The handle is plastic and cannot be replaced with a metal cabinet handle because Sears chose not to use cabinet maker standards for this product. A serviceman has to replace the handle because the screws are not exposed to do it yourself. However, the screws are exposed on the front load washer - go figure. Sears is certainly putting the screws to anyone who buys this product.
this service is a rip off.. it adverises $24 a month but i ended up paying $160 for each month for 3 months.. there was no indicaion that the charges a different for a mobile phone and we only found out after 2 1/2 monhs when we saw he 1st month statement. In addition, the land lines do not oconnect after hooking up wih sears so we had no choice but to call on mobile phones to india! I disconnected from this service right away. Customer service is rude and ruthless! I would advice you all to stay away from this.
Sears in Houston, Texas - Here's 1 reason for it all......
I worked for Sears as a service tech for over the past 25 years. I have seen all the changes, and yes most of them were all about money, less benefits for the employees, more money to line the executives pockets. On top of that I was injured on the job and have since been terminated. The techs have the ability, (there are still many 25 to 30 year techs working) but Sears does not give them time to do the job correctly every time. If we did not work fast we would lose our job due to low productivity. I too have stared purchasing items from other stores and ordering parts online cheaper through other companies.

The worst experience I ever had. On top of all the lies they still will not return any of my calls or warrant any work. I had to supply all the repair lumber and paid $450.00 for the electrical box they broke.The workers would not show me any licence. And they still send me bills and call me to pay but will not talk about any repairs, As I started paying them $1,000.00 already. There is to much to tell, So Please Be Where. Also the materials they use are not Sears Brand as they said
Sears in Toronto, Ontario - Gift Card On Return Item
On New Years Eve in the afternoon I purchased a Jessica sweater. I had a mall Certificate which was given to me at Christmas for $40.00 and I paid the balance of $7.00 interac. The girl who served me told me that I had to buy a Sears Gift Cert. and then purchase the sweater. I said that was fine. She neglected to tell me that if I did not like the sweater and I decided to return it, I would have to get a Sears Gift Cert. back and not cash. When I went to return the sweater yesterday, the clerk told me that I would not get the $40.00 cash it had to be in a Sears Gift Cert. She said I didn't buy it with a Mall Cert. I bought it with a Sears Certificate. I found the transaction whereby it showed the Mall Cert. and that I had to purchase the Sears Cert. Now she said it didn't matter, I wasn't getting the cash. I asked if I could just apply the Sears Gift Cert. to my account and she said no and called the manager. The manager came and everything was explained to her and she said all I could do was obtain the Sears Gift Cert. if I wanted to return the sweater. I can't understand why I could not apply the Sears Gift Cert. to my account. The money is staying in Sears. I have purchased a lot of items over the year from Sears and I have been a customer with my husband Richard since 1975. I can't believe the way in which this matter was handled. I was very disappointed in the service from Sears. I think that Sears has to better brief their sales clerks on issues like gift cards and returns. Had she told me that if I decided to return the sweater, I would only get a gift card back, I might not have bought it with the card, I would have paid cash and used the gift card for something that I knew for sure that I would not return. Sears in Kelowna, British Columbia - Returns on defective boots
i bought boots on boxing day 2007, at their lowest sale price.(so they said) i wore them once and the seam broke. so today i tried to take them back. they didn't have the same size so i wanted a store credit but because i didn't have my receipt they wanted to give me half of want i paid. i had the box and my bank statement showing when i paid the (lowest sale price) $55.99 but without a receipt apparently they will only give me todays sale price of $27.99. S*&! first they lie about the lowest sale prices are on boxing day and then even though their computers can confirm the price paid on boxing day they only want to pay todays price. well after 40yrs of puchasing clothing for a family of six, all appliances for three totally renovated houses and all yard furniture and kids pools i will never shop their again. i will let everyone i see from now on what *** consumer relations this store has and with the way things are nowadays people will care and not shop there either. i guess they need the money more then i do
