My order was going to take two weeks longer to deliver so I cancelled it. I've called once a week for the past 4 weeks to find out why my card has not been credited and no one seems to be able to help me. For some reason they will not let me speak to a supervisor

I will not go into detail about the problem I have been experiencing with a refrigerator and the cost of food disposal. Having received a 3:47 AM automated call from Sears, I have tried to reach anyone in the US executive offices. Having been thwarted at every turn, it is time to take a more serious approach!

Sears - 1 year warranty?? Please allow for 1 month to fix.

There is no way this company stays in business much longer. Holy cow, they are the worst business I have ever had to deal with in my entire life and that includes the cable company. I bought a dishwasher from my local Sears store 7 months ago and began having issues. The technician was sent out to my house in less than two day (I can deal with that). He found the issue and said they were ordering parts and the parts would be delivered to my house direct. He then scheduled an appointment for 2 weeks out to fix the issue but only if the parts were delivered. If not, they would wait until parts were received. OK, so I am already pissed about the 2 weeks since in 2018 you can get same day delivery and they are telling me 7-10 business days to have these parts delivered. You'd think that would be the end of it and two weeks later the parts would be here and technician replaces, dishwasher works.... Yeah, if they weren't Sears maybe. Two weeks go by and I only have one of the three parts delivered so far. They call to confirm my appt. but since the parts have yet to arrive, there is nothing they can do but wait. Just spoke with a "supervisor" in god knows where and she informed me that the parts are on back order, they will reach out with a tracking number when they have been sent. No timeline and remember, it's already been 2 weeks since their initial visit. This is the best part, they said I don't qualify for a replacement but if they are unable to CREATE or find the parts needed within 21 business day (about 1 month), there could be a full replacement of the dishwasher. Yes, she said they might have to create the part.... LMAO. This company is a total joke, DO NOT buy appliances from Sears!!!!! Their 1 year warranty on an appliance (that most families need everyday) is "once broken within that one year period, give us a month to see if we can fix it, if not we will replace for free". It is actually hard to be angry with the "supervisor" because I felt like I was talking to my 10 year old son. Not to mention, she probably lives in Asia somewhere were she cannot understand why I am so upset about not have a dishwasher or it potentially taking one month to fix or replace? UGH!!

after paying a service person to come to my home to repair my treadmill, I was told that they would need to order the part and come back for installation. made the follow up appointment and waited all day 8am to 5pm - no show called sears at 5:10pm and I was told that the part was no longer available - could not say why no one contacted me to let me know. they were so kind and gave me the part number and if I could find it on my own, I could call them back to reschedule installation - how nice of them! also, when the technician was here, he tried to sell me a maintenance agreement on my appliances - how sweet of them! cannot say I am surpised that sears is closing - customer service is a thing of the past

Dear William,Thank you very much for your time and the details that you have provided in regard to your issues with Sears. I have had the pleasure of offering assistance of reviewing a great deal of the problems with Sears, and it is my hope that I will be allowed to do so again.

My mother had a recent experience with Sears, and I at one time always purchased and used the Home Warranty/Master Protection Agreements. I hope that this can be of some help to you. Here are some suggestions that I have employed in years past to help you and others encountering this same customer treatment, and how to get them to honor the warranty/protection agreements with you honored legally. It is ubiquitous and subjective in my own experiences, but they are effective, accurate and legal:1.

Hold Sears accountable and responsible for their Home Warranty/Maintenance Guarantee. On the Sears HW service page, it is stated that you can place a claim at Sears Home Warranty Services (regarding your problem) by calling and/or going on line to place a claim. Here is the actual language on their websitehttps://www.searshomeservices.com/home-warranty/.I would recommend using the on line claim suggestion, and stay away from calling them. Stick to you informing Sears A &E that you want an independent repair and subsequent service according to their own policy.

You have already conducted resolution to the problem that Sears placed you in within your post, you are afforded that right. According to the webpage:“Placing a claim is easy - just go visit my.searshomewarranty.com/ or call (855) 256-2467 to request service”. Place a claim DIRECTLY SPECIFYING to have a the "pre-qualified local maintenance/repair vendor" conduct the repair for you. Sears contractually has to comply with your requested claim, approve it, and expedite service to your area.

Sears A&E has the fulfillment obligation provide LOCAL SERVICE at their expense, NOT YOURS. to conduct it. When you file your claim, express that you are requesting service according to their own listing of finding Local Service:https://www.searshomeservices.com/locations/appliance-repair/tx-texas-city/10000-emmett-f-lowry-expyIf Sears A & E will not grant you a sufficient window to conduct the repair correctly and within reasonable accommodation, (which they failed at from your experience already), politely request that “pre-qualified local service provider” be expedited according to the terms and agreements that Sears A&E has posted and PROMISED:“Once your claim is approved, a pre-qualified, local service provider will schedule a time to come to your home to repair the covered item. If it’s not Sears, we will assign a technician who can quickly tackle your problem.

If it can’t be repaired, we’ll replace it."All repairs come with a 180-day workmanship guarantee, so you don’t have to worry if the problem reoccurs” (section 3, https://www.searshomeservices.com/home-warranty/what-is-a-home-warranty).I hope this helps you! Please let us and Pissed Consumer know how you fared.
