Refrigerator compressor broke 9-3-21, 2 years from purchase date. I have the MPA for this fridge but there is no available appt for repair until 10-7-2021.
I am given a letter authorizing private repair and guaranteeing FULL reimbursement for the repair because I cannot wait a month for refrigerator repair. I submit my letter, receipts and all the required information and I am told only $500.00 is being reimbursed. I spent over 9 hours on the phone over this repair issue and I am beside myself with what a nightmare this has been. This was the worst customer service experience in my life!
9 hours and 14 different people and no one can help me, yet I had the MPA that I paid $499.99 for. I guess this is just a reimbursement of the MPA cost because Sears didnt honor their side of the agreement. The worst part of this is that Sears and LG/Kenmore does not care. If they cared about customer service or even their customers, they would have put a recall in for this compressor issue.
This is a known issue, thousands have had this problem, there is a class action lawsuit and yet Sears, LG/Kenmore deny it. There was a time when Sears and Kenmore had quality products and customer service, but that was long ago. Now all they stand for is cheap merchandise that breaks and not honoring any type of customer service agreements or guarantees.
What ever you do, stay away from Sears and LG/Kenmore products. Buyer beware!
